We did this tour as it seemed a nice way to see the Bamboo Forest. We were not disappointed! Our tour guide Naoki was amazing. He showed us not only the forest but also a lot of back streets, temples and was full of knowledge about everything along the way. We were worried that we would be too big for our driver to pull around. No problem as long as you fit in the rickshaw then weight is not a problem. Our driver Naoki didn’t even break a sweat!

The highlight of our day in Kyoto was to have a rickshaw ride with Saku. The bamboo forest is beautiful, but our driver was over the top! Excellent English speaker and very entertaining!! Thank you for the memorable experience, Saku! :)

Everyone should try this tour when you visit Arashiyama, because they have their own route in the bamboo forest, you can take a really nice photo without the crowds. The driver is also very nice, they will explain the route to you in detail, tell you something which is tour guide book never mentioned.

Hoshi was the best! He took me to see the bamboo forest and a couple of highlights along the way. I also loved the pictures he took. Super cool! He's also hilarious. If you want to have fun and experience a beautiful piece of Arashiyama, book this tour!

Came with my mum&also my first rickshaw ride in Kyoto and it was amazing! Yoshii was very friendly and knowledgeable, sharing interesting facts along the way. The route options were great, allowing us to see beautiful spots. His photography skills were also impressive, capturing great memories for us. I had a fantastic time would definitely recommend this. thank you, Yoshii!

My parents had a great time! My dad said they enjoyed going around and seeing the different sites of the town on the rickshaw. He praised his rickshaw driver saying that he was so nice and kind even with the language barrier. And that the driver worked so hard and wished he had his stamina! They said it was an experience they would always remember!

My wife and I were very happy with the experience. We originally were planning for 15 min, but extended it to 30 min because Koji, the driver, was so good. He was nice, cheerful, informative, and overall amazing. They take you to a private area of the bamboo forest, so it doesn't have anyone there. It was a great place for pictures. We also went to a samurai's house and saw a statue of Ryoma who we had just been introduced to from the drama, Jin, a week before coming to Japan. You should definitely do this one. Koji is great.

Wonderful experience! We were greeted warmly by the all the tour guides. Everyone was so helpful and attentive - we felt like royalty. Every detail of the experience was well organized and planned out. The ride itself was charming, scenic and so relaxing. Whether riding through the streets of the historic area or through the majestic bamboo forest, every moment of our time was just lovely. Our guide was amazing, very knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. If I could rate this experience higher, I definitely would!

I have lived in Japan for 4 years and have already seen Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. But, my friend was visiting and it was rainy, so we decided to take a rickshaw tour instead of walking. It was very worth it! We rode with Keito and he was very knowledgable about everything around, so I learned some new information about Arashiyama and Kyoto overall. He was very friendly and the ride was smooth even though it was raining. He also took some great pictures which was even more impressive in that weather.

We had an amazing time with our driver Yoppy. He drove us on their private road and took beautiful pictures with our phone. He informed us about the history of the area in such a fun, delightful, and personal way. We rode with our 18month baby who also enjoyed it and fell asleep on the ride. It was great for us because it would have been difficult to walk with a baby. Thank you Yoppy!

Very helpful and good communication from prebooking through to after the tour and sending us off in the right direction to our next activity. I booked three rickshaws for my family - two 70 minute tours for my immediate family and a 120 minute tour for my parents. The drivers were safe, provided interesting information, and attended to the various needs of our group. One of our drivers took many amazing pictures and was somehow able to stop the traffic flow of people in the main forest passageway to take many pictures of my family right in the middle. My parents said this is the best tour they have done. It was unique, and having walked through the forest before on a previous visit to Kyoto, I have to say it felt luxurious to glide through the crowds, cover more ground, and be above all the people in terms of vantage point. Everyone I interacted with from questions before booking via email, to the team members on site by the bridge (with my giant name sign :), to the drivers and even people working for the company I saw on the other side of town are all so positive and upbeat.

It supposed to be a tragedy but because of Ebisuya, it became one of the best memories that we had on this trip. The drivers, Mr HIGASHI and Mr Akki, they were so kind and attentive. They explained and discussed which course suited us best, rather than pushing us to pay more money. They handled the route with a lot of care and friendliness. They described not only the history, but also the building of temple which you can tell their passion toward the job. Despite it is a rather physically demanding job, their professionalism is just off the chart. The photos they took for us was so amazing which you would think they were taken by experienced camera pros!! Highly recommend to those who visit ARASHIYAMA for the first time, travelling with elderlies and in times of peak hours/season. Definitely worth it!!

We had a small group and this was a fabulous way to see the bamboo forest. Our guide Taiga was so friendly, shared so much information along the way and took the most amazing photos of us on our mobile phones. Highly recommend.

What a fantastic experience in such a beautiful place as Arashiyama. Made all the better by our amazing driver Yoshito. The best hour of our lives, and we've had a few!!
