  • Kinse Ryokan, 79 Nishishinyashiki Tayūchō, Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto, 600-8827, Japan All workshops take place in the cafe/bar space at Kinse Ryokan. The best way to find us is to search for "Kinse Ryokan" on google maps. NOTE: Please take care if using only our address with gps.  It may send you to a different location slightly down the block. DIRECTIONS via TRAIN (5 min train from Kyoto Station plus 10 min walk, 140 yen) From Kyoto Station go to the JR Sagano Line platform (usually platform number 32 or 33) and take the local train (not the rapid service).  Get off at the second stop, Tanbaguchi Station. After coming out through the ticket gates, turn right and walk south down Senbon-dori.  After about a 5 minute walk, you'll see a small shrine on your left.  Turn left here to come into our neighborhood.  Follow the grey paved street as it turns right and then left, and watch for our building on the right hand side of the street.  The entire walk takes about 10 minutes. via TAXI (10 minutes from Kyoto Station, 800--1,000 yen) Please print out these instructions to give the driver (the bigger the font, the better) : 壬生川通花屋町通西入る 島原の大門の中、2筋目南西角(誠の湯の西側)きんせ旅館  600-8827  京都市下京区西新屋敷太夫町80 Tel: 075-351-4781 When you arrive at the building, please come in the front sliding door. After that, the cafe/bar entrance is up one step and into the door to the left of the floral stained glass window.
