This is the ultimate way to experience the top cultural and historic attractions Kyoto has to offer. This full-day tour takes you to Nijo Castle, Kyoto Imperial Palace, and Kiyomizu Temple. You’ll travel in comfort in a climate-controlled bus as you visit Kyoto’s spread out landmarks that would be difficult to travel between on foot. Plus, you’ll save time and beat the crowds as entrance fees for all attractions are included.

What to Expect

Start your action-packed day with a pickup from your Kyoto hotel. The tour will be a lesson in itself about Japan’s fascinating history and heritage with useful commentary from your guide.

You’ll soon arrive at Nijo Castle, shortly followed by Kinkaku-ji Temple, which is often labelled the most popular of all of Kyoto’s temples. This might be because of its grand Japanese gardens or the impressive Golden Pavilion.

Next stop will be Kyoto Imperial Palace followed by Sanju-Sangendo—a Buddhist Temple famous for its 1,000 life-size statues, covered in gold leaf.

The final part of the day involves walking past traditional pottery shops on the way to Kiyomizu Temple. It’s not only the temple that’s impressive here—the vantage point boasts panoramic views of this ancient city. A beautiful way to end the day before a comfortable journey back to your Kyoto hotel.
