Great sake tasting experience in Kyoto
My wife and I booked this tour with two other friends and had a great time. We all enjoy sake, but were not very knowledgeable about it. This was the first time we were able to try so many and compare them. It was a really fun way to both explore a less touristy part of Kyoto and taste a lot of really good sake. Karen was a great guide, spoke excellent English, and helped us pick some tasty new foods to try after the tour.

Great Experience, Super fun tour guide!
We had Seigo as our tour guide and he was phenomenal! He was super friendly and informative! He guided us through the Fushimi Sake District and taught us more than any of us were expecting to learn! He went above and beyond! We highly highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in not only trying Sake but learning about the making of it, the history and culture of Kyoto and the hand it plays in the history of Sake!

Truly Amazing !! Seigo is the Best!!!
Our tour guide Seigo was extraordinary, he was very compassionate, considerate, kind and such a sweet soul. He enlightened us with not only his kindness but the history of Kyoto throughout our tour, took us to many beautiful scenery’s and guided us to indulge in many different forms and flavors of sake. We walked away so thrilled by this experience and would have to say it was one of the best, thank you so much for a wonderful time and highly recommend everyone do this tour! You do have to pay at the last location if you choose to do the extra 18 Sake tasting, which we did and do not regret at all, HIGHLY WORTH IT!

We had a great time on this tour! Plenty of sake tastes, a bit of food (we stopped at a tofu place) and just the right amount of education. Friendly and personal tour.

Great sake tour to 4 locations
We had a great 3hr trip with our friendly guide Yurina to four different sake producers. The producers included small and large scale operators. We visited: 1, izumi; 2,fukuju; 3,hakutsuru 4,hamafukutsuru. Three had a large and nice gift shop and one even had a large sake production exhibition. We tried many sakes. The minimum was 3 in one location, the maximum was approx. 10! Sakes also included fresh ones (non-heated) which can only be bought at the local production sites. During our walk Yurina took us to a small local tofu producer and let us taste fresh tofu and fried tofu crocquetes. All in all a great trip.

    Huge variety of sake tasting
We did this tour yesterday and it was excellent. Our tour guide Yurina was very friendly and knowledgeable. We leant a great deal about sake varieties and production and found the three brewers we visited to be very different and interesting. Plenty of sake was tasted and our guide helped ensure we hopped on the correct train to return home safe and sound. Highly recommended.

    Charming Tour
We spent a lovely day with Yurina who shared historical practices of making sake. We stopped at the three venues plus a tofu place. The sake places had professional displays and tastings but we would not have learned all the nuances about sake making without a guide and we would not have found the tofu place on our own! We went to the largest sake brewery in Japan which had an amazing display/museum which really added to our experience. There is a fair amount of walking between each stop which is necessary to space between all the drinking! We loved the experience and highly recommend it for tourists looking for a local experience. Thanks to Yurina and Seigo for making it a great experience!

I've been on multiple tours for wine and sake.
Seigo may seem knowledgeable as he talks with confidence, but when asked questions, he really doesn't actually know much. He just tries to be funny, but he really isn't..
He seemed half hungover from a long night, and smelt awful.
I later came back to purchase some sake, and noticed that he charges quite a lot for how much going around these places actually costs.

The tour was really great. We were welcomed at a brewery and museum. The guide spoke wonderful English and explained the history of the brewery and the production of sake at the beginning. Afterwards we went to a small restaurant where the tasting with food took place. It was really funny and very interesting. Thank you so much!

It was a fun visit at a gd walking pace for all in the family. Aki was thoughtful and even built in a short rest break, complete with some rice crackers and yuzi infused alcohol between the visits to keep the energy up. The teen was offered a soft-serve ice cream at one of the stops, which he thoroughly enjoyed.

We had a great time with Seigo. He is a fantastic host and makes sure the clients have a great time. We visited 4 different breweries and tasted around 15 different types of sake. He took us to some micro breweries, a middle size one and to the biggest one. We did some great shopping and we will enjiy the sake at home. Highly recommended!

I've lived in Japan for over 4 years and this was better than any of the other sake tours I've done previously. This one felt the warmest and friendliest by far, with ample tastings and a variety of breweries to choose - from small to large. The main guide (bilingual Japanese/English) was also extremely well-versed and explained everything to us in a manner everyone could understand easily. I would happily do this again whenever friends/family come to visit!

Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable experience that helped me appreciate sake (nihonshu) even more. Highly recommended!

This was a wonderful tour of 4 or 5 (lost count towards the end) sake breweries in the famed Nada region in Kobe. I did this as an afternoon trip from Osaka, taking the Hanshin Line train from there to Ishiyagawa train station, the start point for the tour.

Hiro was a great guide, explaining why Nada is such a good location for making sake and giving short histories of each of the breweries we stopped at. It was good to have a stop at Okage Tofuan for a tofu snack halfway through the tour. I bought a bottle of super dry Sensuke junmai ginjo at the Izumi Brewery store, which I’m enjoying drinking now I’m back home. This tour was the highlight of my trip to Japan.

A wonderful guided experience . We (party of two) received excellent instructions for our meetup. We arrived a bit early and so did our guides. So, we left early. Aki and Hiroko were knowledgeable about the history of sake and the Nada district, and also very friendly. In addition to talking about sake and sampling many varieties, we discussed aspects of Japanese culture and life much as good friends would. We were not pressured to buy any of the sake that we sampled. However, as we drank our way through Nada, we came to recognize our own preferences in taste—and we did buy some of our favorites to take home to friends for our very own sake tasting party. Because we were all having a great experience, both we and our guides agreed to extend the time allotted for the tour. Finally, Aki and Hiroko got us to our train station (“designated driver”) and we made our way back to our Osaka hotel where we were staying—an easy 30 minutes away.

Seigo was an awesome tour guide. Besides explaining the breweries and their sakes, as an aficionado he also made a lot of suggestions that we would have never tried, and found new sake types that we would drink/buy now. It was a lot ofwalking, but there were stops to rest and drink (and shop!). He even brought a little suitcase to carry some of the bottles for us, so thoughtful! Would recommend to anyone!

Our guide was Aki, a true Kobe local knowledgeable about all things sake. She taught us technical terms and helped us differentiate between different polishes and tastes, as well as acting as our guide as we walked through the sake brewery district of Nada. We tasted heaps of sake, some even provided by our guide, stopped at a local family owned tofu spot (phenomenal flavor and as fresh as it gets), plus we learned the history of the area and just why so many breweries call Kobe home. For a fun, informative and boozy time I'd definitely recommend.
