We had a great day with Sam touring the Hakone Open Air Museum, the Venetian Glass Museum, and Lake Ashi. It was overcast so we did not get to see Mt. Fuji but the sail on the lake was a lovely experience. Sam was tireless in making all the travel arrangements and guiding us around. We were able to enjoy each location without any time pressure or schedule. He was great company as we spent a lovely day in a beautiful area.

We have a wonderful time during our Kyoto tour with our tour guide Kazu Akiyama. He is very knowledgeable and professional. His attention to details and historical information is beyond our expectations. Highly recommend. Thank you, Kazu!

Tarsha was absolutely FANTASTIC on our tour of Tokyo today. We saw an incredible array of sites in one day, had a great lunch and enjoyed her company very much. She also taught us about Tokyo mass transit and some of the other cities on our itinerary. We would recommend her to anyone on a first-time trip to Tokyo!!!

Had an amazing day with Ichiro! He was a wonderful guide, and taught me a huge amount about the history of Kyoto and Japan. We saw the beautiful Nanzen-ji temple and Nijo palace, and he was happy to make adjustments to the itinerary. Would highly recommend the experience.

Fuji stayed in contact right from our booking, confirming pickup and even texting us that he would be at our hotel early. We discussed our preferences the day before and Fuji formed an itinerary especially tailored to our cultural interests. Fuji was very informative and caring that we enjoyed the day and checked with us to make sure that we were happy with our many stops. He helped us to buy and use our subway passes, purchase an ESim for my phone which by the way saved us hundreds of dollars on our international calling plan which we no longer need. Fuji speaks very good English is formerly an engineer and worked in English speaking countries as well as being well traveled. He taught us quite a bit about Japanese culture and history and we enjoyed a fine sushi lunch complete with lessons about sushi and Japanese beer. It was a great day. We whole heartedly recommend Fuji.

Nishi is awesome and we enjoyed her tour! She’s very knowledgeable and kind, I would definitely recommend this tour! Not gonna lie, if you have weak knees, this tour is not for you. There are SO MANY STAIRS.

Ted was extremely well organized and well prepared. He compiled maps- a guide book and interesting history into a packet for us to keep. Showed us key highlights of the city while showing us how to use train and the metro. We quite enjoyed a very memorable day. Highly recommend Ted.

Annie was an excellent tour guide. She showed us a lot of local things we may not have otherwise seen, like hidden temples, ancient trees and delicious treats from local food vendors (a special shout out to the custard guy at the morning markets!). Annie paced the guide perfectly and was happy to work with our interests and stop whenever we needed to pop into a lovely local shop. I would highly recommend this tour with Annie, we had a really lovely time.

The guide that we had the privilege to walk with was amazing: he tailored the tour to our family needs, and gave us a taste of history, culture, and understanding about japanese mind set; we are very thankful for this experience!

We had a great walking tour with Koji. We saw the main sites and walked around and he showed us how to use the subway. We saw the imperial palace, and some famous shrines and temples. He gave us some great history and we thoroughly recommend it was great with the children as well.

Yusuke was excellent as our guide. He met us at our hotel and immediately told us the hotel’s history. We then spent 6 hours together on and off the subway seeing our prearranged sites. He took us to a lovely traditional Japanese tea house for matcha. We had a great time.

Excellent tour! “An” was our guide and she did a wonderful job showing us the major and off the beaten track sights. She navigated the subway system very well and showed us the sights of Tokyo’s underground. We explored the Akihabara neighborhood with its special eccentric geeky feel so different than Tokyo downtown. Thank you An for a great tour!

Seizo Kamiuto was a fabulous guide. He tailored our 6 hours to our interests, to see the key cultural rate moles abd shrines in Kamakura. He taught us the cultural aspects and we learned about Japanese history. We told him we loved sushi abd he took us to a great spot for lunch. It felt like very personalized treatment at the sushi bar and reasonable price wuth sake. We had matching tea service. Because we tavelled from Yokohama to Kamakura, we took both train and buses. It was our first day in Japan so we learned how to do that, how to use our Welcome Suica we bought at the airport, and how to recharge. It cost about 2000 yen each for the travel. "If" we tried this trip on our own, I am sure it would not have been as smooth a process! Seizo also helped us to print our pre-booked reserved tickets on the Shinkansen at the JR East Office in Yokohama. Again, this went smoothly due to his help. Otherwise we had to get them at Shinjuku Station which felt a bit overwhelming to face or at Tokyo Station the day of the trip later in the month. We felt like Seizo became a friend who we hope we can see again in the future, as we want to come back. Highly recommend a tour with him! There were 2 of us.

We were very fortunate to have the opportunity to make this tour with Akira-san, who as a guide was not only competent, attentive, complete and careful, but also great company in general. We laid out what seemed like an ambitious plan of going around key spots in some Kyoto areas and we were able to really enjoy all of them in the alloted time without feeling rushed or feeling like missing out. Akira-san was very well prepared to provide helpful explanations and context to the landmarks, and was knowledgeable of different activities to mix things up in a way that was perfect for us. Akira-san also went the extra mile of making recommendations and helping us make arrangements for restaurants in Kyoto, all of which we were happy with. At first we had booked the wrong dates and initially spoke with another guide who was also immediately helpful and available, so I can say between that and our experience with Akira-san - you can't go wrong with this tour because a great guide will certainly be there with you.
