- andrewsM8976ME00Two families and two generations explore HiroshimaWe did afternoon bike tour of Hiroshima … the peace park, the castle the garden. Lindsey the tour guide us a Brit living in Japan for >5 years. Great historical information as well as current day cultural. Perfect pace and brought appropriate level if gravitas to history of the bombing and effects on community. Everyone loved it!!!
- Carlattexdd00Great tour with PeterJoined a tour with Peter and he was fantastic. One of the most memorable tours we’ve ever done. He was a great storyteller. He gave us a balanced overview of the city sharing the tragedy and the resilience as well as the other parts that define Hiroshima - the Carps baseball team, the music scene and okonomiyaki. He also clearly was knowledgeable - being able to answer our follow-up questions (some tour guides we’ve had over the years can only recite what they prepared)
- Victoria S00Great tour!My husband and I love using food tours to explore a new city. This one was exceptional! It was wonderful to explore the local food scene and learn about the city's history and culture. We highly recommend this tour to others visiting Hiroshima!
- lisarH4213YD00Best way to do Hiroshima!!We did the Hiroshima Half Tour with Peter and wow what an experience, he is so passionate and knowledgeable about everything, the things you get to see and hear about while cycling around is amazing, admittedly we did shed a few tears along with him while he was telling us it’s history, after the guided cycle we walked back to the peace park and went to the museum which you don’t get to do on the cycle tour. FYI we got our hotel guest service lady to write the address down in Japanese so that the taxi driver could drop us off at the meeting point only because we had no idea where we were going! The tour starts in a little side street next to the Organic Kitchen and Cafe so if you find that you know you’re in the right place, Happy Cycling its so worth it!!
- georgied8100Wonderful bike tourWe were very fortunate to have our own private morning bike ride with Kevin. He showed us all the important historical sites and answered all our questions. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and culture of Hiroshima. The bikes provided the perfect way to get around the city and see all the sites at a comfortable pace in just a few hours. On top of this Kevin really went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay in Hiroshima, and you could tell he was very passionate about the area, even suggesting great viewpoints and a place for dinner (both of which were brilliant). He was overall incredibly friendly and personable and we would definitely recommend as a nice change of pace from the other walking tours we had been doing across Japan.
- Vanessa V00Excellent tour of Hiroshima's rich historyOur guide was Peter - it was very clear to see that he is passionate about Hiroshima and sharing it's beautiful journey toward the city of peace that it now is. We learned so much Peter. Biking around the city was a great way to get from site to site and Peter really filled in the gaps that are left after reading the signs at each of the historical sites. I would highly recommend this tour to every single person visiting Hiroshima - young, old and everyone in between!
- RamblinRose7600Beautiful Day in HiroshimaThis tour is highly recommended if you'd like to see a lot of the sights in Hiroshima, while giving your feet a rest from all the miles they get walking while sightseeing in Japan. You never know what kind of bikes you'll end up with in any given day bike tour, but these bikes were great quality, very comfortable bikes. That said, you never really need to change gears anyway because Hiroshima was flat, and so this riding is very easy and possible for anyone. We were really lucky to get Peter as our guide because he was so generous to us with his time and his knowledge and that made the tour so much more rewarding. You will experience the important peace garden sights, learn a ton, and get to cruise along Hiroshima's lovely river bike paths.
- Lauren C00Amazing tourThis is the second time I have toured with this company and it has been amazing. This company takes you on a tour that tells you all the important history about Hiroshima and all the little things a person would miss. I really enjoyed my tour and if I was to come back to Japan I would use this company. Some of my best tours ever.
- Discover78300800Perfect way to see HiroshimaWe spent 3 of the best hours of our trip cruising around Hiroshima with Peter. He was incredibly informative and really replaced all the information in the museum he was so knowledgeable! I would recommend this to everyone of all cycling standards, really cruisey, and great value Thanks Peter..... go the carps !!!
- ruthcQ8740HM00Cycle HiroshimaA fantastic way to see the important sites of Hiroshima, and being provided with a wealth of information on the monuments, Hiroshima history, and the aftermath of the bomb. Lindsay was excellent, personable, a wealth of information, generous with her time and photo taking! Highly recommend Lindsay and this tour!!
- 194gordonb00Great way to visit HiroshimaOur family spent a 1/2 day with Lindsey and cycle Hiroshima. She was a great guide, very informative with a lots of good information about the history of Hiroshima, the bomb and efforts to rebuild. The response of turning from such a tragedy to the positive of never again and the promotion of peace and understanding is incredible. The tour was fun, easy pace with lots of quick stops. Her perspective as a long term resident and member of the community while also being an outsider ( from Britain) gave a unique view of what it was like to live there. She answered all of our questions with ease and was a great ambassador and guide to the incredible city. The tour was a great way to see Hiroshima and the highlight of our trip there. Thank you.
- Michael M00Perfect pace, main sites and some off the beaten trackPeter guided us and had a wealth of information. Peter took us around to Hiroshima castle, Peace Park, Carps Stadium, and all along the river paths. Between attractions we saw some of the smaller nooks and crannies we wouldnt have seen on our own. One of the best things about these tours is they make really efficient use of our limited time in Hiroshima and the bicycle part allows you to get a feel for how the locals live as you don't just speed by on a bus or something. The intimacy of a walk but speed of bicycle. All in all it was a lot of fun and got up close and personal with Hiroshima. If you're heading to Hiroshima you really should hop on one of their tours.
- nja123100Cycle HiroshimaLovely trip . I was the only participant during my tour so Lindsey personalised it to my interests insightful information about Hiroshima comfortable pace on the bike and she didn’t even mind when I fell over getting on the bike and knocked her over too 🤣. Highly recommended
- Remi L00All in one dayI've done a few tours in Asia, some on foot, others by bus or bike. This tour is one of the best I've done. Clear, safe, great bikes, English speaking guide and reasonable speed. You can cover the most important sites in one day where it would take 2 or 3 days using public transportation. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made sure we had everything we needed and that we were safe. If you have only 1 day to spend in Hiroshima, this kind of bike tour is, without a doubt, the best way to see the city. Thank you Cycle Hiroshima ^_^ !!
- Marie B00Amazing!We´ve been on an amazing bike trip with these guys! Fun, interesting, with nice people... I wish I could do the same in another city next time in Japan! Thanks guys!

Astonishingly brilliant tour guide Peter took our breath away with his spell-binding accounts of historically accurate descriptions of what happened before, on and after 6 August. You’ll need the rest of the day to take in what youve learnt. Thanks so much Peter!

Myself & my Husband only had a day in Hiroshima so decided to do a bike tour to see the highlights. We made a great choice with these guys, our guide was Kevin, his knowledge & passion for the history of Hiroshima & Japanese culture was brilliant, he was able to answer questions and share his knowledge in such a comfortable way, the whole tour was like having a chat - so informative but not scripted.
We learnt & saw loads in our 3.5 hour tour, bikes were very easy to ride, no hills or tricky terrain.
Great value for money definitely exceeded our expectations.

Our tour guide was extremely knowledgable, friendly, and happy to take questions throughout. It is clear that this is his calling, as when I went to the museum afterwards, it felt like a glance across some of he more in-depth presentations we had received on very detailed parts of the history. I told my hostel buddy to go and they said the same: cannot recommend enough!

Our tour guide Peter was just exceptional. He spoke compassionately about Hiroshima and the A bomb and the tour was both hugely informative and insightful about the impact on this beautiful city and the survivors of the event. His passion for Hiroshima and Japan and Peace made an impact on everyone who was on the tour.
Highly recommended.

We had a great tour with Peter, who really brought the subject to life with stories and thoughts on the A Bomb, the Peace Park, and how a city regenerates after an earth-shattering event.
Good bikes, easy pace, lots of opportunities for photos. Highly recommend!

My tour guide, Peter, was amazing. He really gave me insight into many of the survivors' stories. While there were many somber moments on the tour, it was well-balanced with messages of hope, recovery, and peace. I cannot recommend it enough!

Peter was hands down the best tour guide we have ever had and was the highlight of the trip. As a writer, his knowledge about Hiroshima was incredible and he brought the city to life with his stories and facts. Peter's passion was infectious and he engaged the whole family from start to finish. Thank you Peter for such a memorable day :)

I highly recommend Lindsey as a tour guide for the Hiroshima Bike tour. She was incredibly friendly, extremely prepared and knowledgeable and more than happy to be flexible if we had any particular places we wanted to see. She also has an excellent list of recommended lunch stops!
This was definitely a highlight of our Japan trip.

The bike tour around Hiroshima was one of the highlights of my Japan trip! Peter was so knowledgeable and his story telling makes for such a captivating experience. We took the Shinkansen from Osaka in the morning, did the tour and went to the museum after. We then took the Shinkansen back to Osaka with plenty of time for night activities! I’m so glad we chose this tour, Peter’s knowledge of Hiroshima is so extensive and he is so passionate about his stories. Highly recommend!

While our tour guide was lovely and well-intentioned, the tour needs refinement and we would not attend again. We didn’t get much more out of the tour than what was written on plaques etc, we also felt information about the events of Aug 6 and the A-bomb were not spoken about sensitively (ie speaking loudly about gory aspects of what happened to people in public places near memorials). The tour guide took off to the next location while people were still taking photos and rode through busy pedestrian areas without consideration for the group. We don’t share this review to be negative, but simply want to share our experience for those considering and give feedback as I’m sure the tour has potential.

Hi, we are planning a day trip from Namba to Hiroshima on the 23rd of December, is it possible to have later start of the tour, let's say around 11am? We are a family of 4, the children are age of 10 and 11, approx 150 cm; I wanted to know if you have any bikes that would fit them?
