Fun summer trip with many experiences for kids
We had been in a road accident previously driving in Italy, so I was not keen at all to drive in a foreign country again. I wanted to be on holiday instead of having to navigate and watch the road and stress out about what activity to do next or where to eat. I was travelling with my children (two teens and one primary schooler) solo, and I wanted to just enjoy the trip rather than worry about logistics. HTIT literally took care of everything. From the pre-trip planning to lodgings, food, coordinating all the activities, travelling, etc. All we had to do was pack our bags and enjoy everything! It was totally worth the money spent. We had a patient and knowledgeable driver with a wonderfully Japanese sense of humour. He showed us so many things and shared small nuggets of interesting trivia that we would never have learnt otherwise. It was also very useful to have someone who speaks Japanese with us. We had a lovely, lovely time and plan to return again in winter! Hotels, food etc were all excellent (there were deer right outside our restaurant window in Akan!) and service was better than most 5-star hotels we had been to. Activities we enjoyed included mochi-making, glass-blowing, pottery, whitewater rafting, walking in nature, a volcano visit, farm visit with lunch, outdoor footbath, driving and cycling (for the kids), and many scenic spots where they could run around. We had meals in fancy restaurants as well as tiny places off the beaten path and once just at the roadside by our car! I actually think the food in the tiny places were better than the fancy ones! I think you would be able to plan this trip on your own only if you speak Japanese as many of the activity places had only limited English.

    Epic private tour in Hokkaido
Hokkaido Treasure Island Travel arranged our private group tour of 8 pax. The travel consultants (Koari -san & Haruka-san) provided excellent planning services. My family enjoyed the program/itinerary/activities (hiking. rafting, snow walking, cruises to see bear & whales, beautiful sightseeing spots , onsen etc). The private guides for the activities were also passionate and provided excellent services to make the activity so much fun to enjoy. To top it off we had very wonderful/special accomodation and the yummy/sumptuous breakfast & dinners that were included. The lunch recommendations were also delicious. We are also very pleased with our Jumbo Driver Tatsuji Oohashi-san for his excellent safe driving and patience with the group. It was an epic trip for my family. I would definitely recommend to go with Hokkaido Treasure Island Travel. especially we love the accomodation/meals at Kiki Shiretoko ; Log Hotel Larch & Auberge Tefutefu (staying in famous photographer 's pension Kent Shiraishi).

A Heartfelt Honeymoon to Remember, Thanks to Hokkaido Treasure Island Travel!
Our honeymoon journey with Hokkaido Treasure Island Travel was a dream come true, and we couldn't be more grateful! We worked with Haruka for a private 5-day tour around Hokkaido and she went above and beyond to create a personalized and romantic itinerary that was a perfect way to spend our last few days in Japan. Haruka ensured that we discovered hidden gems, from intimate encounters with locals to guided experiences that we would have never found on our own. She truly made us feel like we got a taste of real Hokkaido. Tatsuya, our incredible driver, made each leg of the journey feel like an adventure where we were well taken care of. Tatsuya's punctuality and professionalism gave us peace of mind, knowing we were in safe hands throughout our trip. And we had great conversations and many stops for ice cream! Hokkaido Treasure Island Travel provided us with memories that we will treasure for a lifetime. We can't thank Haruka, Tatsuya, and the entire team enough for making our honeymoon so extraordinarily special. This was more than just a vacation, it was an experience.

    Surprise! Everytime!
We had a private tour for our family and it was arranged beautifully. It was the end of winter on this side of Japan, no flower season nor snow festival. But still we were surprised by Megumi san and her collegues. Food delicious! We were brought to this small unassuming restaurant but have the best salmon hotpot Ishikari Nabe. A hidden gem. The Ryokan perfect with the private onsen. The driver so kind and accommodating. Taji san so professional. Salute!

Seeing Hokkaido with the benefit of local eyes, and local guides.
We've visited Hokkaido on our own before. Even rented a car to drive around (a must in Hokkaido), but this time we wanted to go in Winter. And ski (or try to). And revisit Loghouse Wagyu Bibi (for Wagyu Yakiniku!). The rest of the tour was left to the travel consultant (Jordan) to arrange. So she had an itinerary with dog-sledding, snow-shoeing, indigo-dyeing, glass-blowing, music box making, and wagashi making, Kimono wearing, in addition to skiing and visits to Shiroi Koibito, Sapporo Beer Garden, and Furano Winery. If we were on our own, we would never know how to go dog-sledding or snow-shoeing, or glass-blowing! Our Guide, Hosono-san was excellent. When the highway was closed due to snow, he found a way through to our next destination. If I were driving, I would have given up. Jordan also arranged for local guides for our adventures, and that is something that we, travelling on our own, would have been hard to experience. We got a lot more out of this visit because of the local guides and experts available to us to talk to on this trip. When we were just muddling along on our own, it was fun, but there were times when you just wish you could ask someone local about what it all means. This was great!

Excellent guided tour of Hokkaido. It was very well planned and Aki-san made sure every aspect of the tour was looked into. I especially enjoyed that senic pitstops that Aki-san and Tommy-san brought us to along the way.

The most splendid holiday in Hokkaido beyond our expectations!
We took a 12 day package tour as a family of 4, going through: Sapporo, Lake Shikotsu, Otaru, Shiraoi, Noboribetsu, Lake Toya and Mt Usu, Kuromatsunai, Hakodate, and Onuma. Hokkaido Treasure Island Travel worked so well with us to craft every day on the itinerary and inform us on all the paperwork for a smooth entry to Japan (on short notice, too!) and when we got to experience it, it was perfectly paced and full of wonderful activities. A highlight was the day spent visiting local farms in Kuromatsunai, we met lovely people passionate about their home, ate amazing fresh produce, and relaxed with lunch by the forest and fishing in the river. The trip HTIT planned as a whole was like this — we never felt rushed to go to the next destination, and we genuinely got to learn about the people, forests, lakes, and mountains. HTIT organised amazing local guides for us, so another highlight was Hakodate. It’s a fascinating city with an old world feel, and our guide Sara took us to marvellous corners of it, also speedily planning new activities for us when rainy weather cancelled our outdoor activities. We can’t thank Jordan from Hokkaido Treasure Island Travel enough — she went above and beyond personally welcoming us with lunch upon our arrival, joining us on a hiking trail herself when a local guide wasn’t available, and meeting us again at the end of our trip with a cake for my early birthday! Hokkaido is an amazing place in the world and we absolutely recommend Hokkaido Treasure Island Travel for tailoring the best visit you could experience.

    Hokkaido with kids
We did a 8D7N private tour with HTIT. Their quality has not changed since 2020! Our coordinator, Aurore, was responsive, detailed, patient and very friendly. Eriko also helped cover seamlessly if Aurore was not available. We definitely appreciated their advice on the local Covid-19 rules and regulations, which we would have had a headache navigating otherwise. The accommodations are all personally vetted by the company, and every place was well chosen. Being met at the airport with surprise goodies and a little activity pack for the kids was a lovely welcome (and introduced us to some of the yummy things in Hokkaido!) Our driver and guide, Katou San, was responsible, had child seats and water in his comfy van, made great food and activity recommendations, and was able to suggest alternatives that the kids loved when the weather wasn’t good. (PS he loves ice cream, fishing, camping and photography too!) Megu San, who guided us for part of the tour, was great with kids, and we had a great time with him too. The experience was excellent and we never felt rushed. Traveling with young kids, this made all the difference, and helped us truly enjoy our holiday and the beauty of Hokkaido. Thank you HTIT, and well done! Would recommend them to anyone who wants to travel to Hokkaido!

Splendid wonderful nature with superb-service travel agency!
HTIT is a very recommended travel agent who will take good care of you and your family's needs. Our customized 9D8N itinerary went well except for the part where the weather didn't permit us. Our consultant, Jordan, despite that we're her first client, Jordan seems very professional, and accommodating, and made all the effort she could to meet our requirements as a Muslim traveler. Her effort starts 2months before we traveled! We also got free meals from the HTIT that is not part of earlier arrangements. Our English-speaking driver Tatsuya-san was very helpful, kind, responsible, and do more than the typical driver. He ensure our safety, make sure we enjoyed everything food, sightseeing, and local experience, and even took very good photographs, a rare skill a driver would do! He always asked for feedback so that he can improve further. Our day trip guide in Sapporo is a very thoughtful professional guide. Even for a short acquaintance, he prepared a nice give handed in at the end of the day.

A Most Wonderful Time in Hokkaido
We spent a most amazing 10 days in Hokkaido thanks to Hokkaido Treasure Island Travel. The attention to details and our preferences were much appreciated. Our travel consultant Eriko Kakudate san took the extra mile by personally meeting with us prior to the trip. Our preferences and interests as well as our budget and the length of our stay were taken into consideration to carefully plan a trip that was unique, fulfilling and enjoyable. We enjoyed the suggested destinations largely because they weren't the usual tourist traps. We had private lessons in glass blowing, soba making and Japanese sweets. We enjoyed our interaction with the locals and the exposure to the culture. We did not feel rushed at all in our itinerary and had time to spend in places where we wanted to stay longer. Eriko san was very thorough and communicated with us as needed specially when we had to reschedule our trip. We appreciate her work and dedication. We are thankful that she took the time to meet us upon arrival and again on two other occasions to ask how we were and even share a meal. She is an asset to HTIT. Our personal driver Shuji Takeuchi san was likewise excellent. He was very professional and recommended good places to eat in and experiences to try (like the onsen and eating local food). He made sure we were comfortable with the vehicle we used and offered even free use of his wifi and AC to charge our phones. He even volunteered to take our photos. We appreciate that he was mindful that one of us had physical limitations. He assisted us each time we checked in our hotels and helped us with room preferences. Our trip was made memorable largely because of HTIT. It was the best way to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our thanks to HTIT, Eriko san, Shu san and all the wonderful people we met. We shall return.

7D Hokkaido Trip (Niseko, Sapporo, Asahikawa, Abashiri, Sounkyo, Akan, Kushiro)
We were very ambitious with our itinerary and wanted to make many special arrangements. We chose a private tour with Hokkaido Treasure Island Travel because we had heard great reviews about them and they truly did not disappoint. It started with our correspondence with Kiyoka via email, where she was very responsive and forthcoming with her suggestions. On top of a list of activities we wanted to do (dog-sledding, snowmobiling, ice-fishing, snow-hiking and visiting certain attractions), we also planned for a surprise birthday celebration for my father, Valentine's day flowers for our significant others and a marriage proposal. Due to the immense amount of coordination required, Kiyoka reached out using Whatsapp. She was so dedicated to making the trip a successful and memorable one that we even video-called to finalise the arrangements. We are very appreciative of her efforts in the customizing the trip to suit all our requests! The next phase involved the conduct of the tour, to which much credit should be given to both Kiyoka and our tour driver/guide Hide-san. They worked very closely together and all our surprises went very well! It was very well-executed and successful. Because of them, Hokkaido will hold a special place in our hearts. We look forward to coming back with Hokkaido Treasure Island Travel again. Credit should also be given to Hide-san for his perfect execution of the surprises. Hence, we have also written a review for him here: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g298560-d12016522-Reviews-Myojo_Jidosha_Jumbo_Hire-Sapporo_Hokkaido.html

    Great Hokkaido Tour with Kids
Highly recommended! We are a family of four with 2 kids aged 9 and 12. Kanae helped design our itinerary, putting together a tour of Hokkaido taking into account our kids and what we liked. We had unique experiences in rural parts of Hokkaido and visited beautiful snow mountains, onsen areas and had lots of fun with various activities organized. The food was amazing and our driver and guide Shu-san was an amazing driver who was careful with icy roads and was such a great company and great with kids.
