Our trip to Beijing. Xian,Shanghai. Guilin and Hong Kong has been an amazing experience for us.Starting with the excellent tailor made private tour and itinerary organized by Top China Travel. we enjoyed every bit of the trip worry-free.Joyce from TCT was very helpful,friendly,and prompt in replying to our inquiry. Hotel locations are near most attractions Tour guides are excellent and knowledgeable. We will definitely use TCT again in the future. One suggestion: Can TCT accept other currency as payment other than Chinese Yuan and USD?We are from Canada and converting Canadian dollars to USD or Yuan will be very inconvenient.

1) I was able to communicate with TCT through emails in English. Specially want to compliment Rebecca for her prompt replies by emails. 2) I asked for an English-speaking tour guide as most us in the group are English educated. Rebecca provided us with a competent guide who is family with the history and geography of the area we were visiting 3) Chance to visit the Tulou- the traditional dwelling place of the Haka people group. 4) On the whole our group enjoyed our trip and the food we had. We visited China last April on a 19-day trip organized by TopChinaTravel. I can guarantee that, in the group of 32 people, every single one loved the trip. We planned for a visit to Shantou and approached TCT for suggestion of an itinerary. Joyce Tang was our consultant and she proposed an excellent itinerary connecting our visit with layover at Guangzhou. The guide Tony was there waiting for us at the airport and he was very accommodating to our many requests. The driver was also very skilful and patience with us stepping down from the bus first each time and placed and steadied a stool so that we can alight safely. A very good team effort from TCT.

I would highly recommend this agency to organise your next trip! We spent 3 weeks in China on a private tour without a single glitch! Everything went seamlessly starting from the planning stage to every single detail of the actual trip. Our travel agent Tracy was perfect: very competent, efficient and experienced. Tour guides in each destination were very helpful and knowledgeable. We are already thinking about our next trip which will be undoubtedly organised with TCT!

This was a fantastic trip through Beijing, Xian, Guilin and Chinghai. The trip was 11 days and I highly recommend. Company meet us at the airport/train station, took us to the top hotels (we ordered 5 star hotels, highly recommend, true five star experience) and superb excursion were organized. Breakfast and lunch were included and the first week we couldn't go to dinner - no space was left for food, the portions were so big and the food was so fantastic. Piece of advise - when you go on a lunch/dinner/train trip on your own you can bring with you your own bottle from nearby supermarket, they open it for you and you can enjoy it for free as long as you buy food. Highly recommend, life time experience.

We organized a personalized tour to visit Xian (terracotta army, pagoda, city walls) with an Italian guide. Everything was perfectly organized in details, very accurate and helpful staff and we were very satisfied with the service received.

Top China Travel provided us with an incredible experience and life long lasting memories from start to finish. All services were excellent including airport hotel transfers, train services, accommodation and experienced guide services. Travel consultant Tracy Su combined two tours together to meet with our requirements including trip to Lhasa and always respond to us with promptly to our queries. Provided all the required documentation in time for obtaining Visa etc. TCT guides were well experienced in their local highlights, we found they were very observant on tour participants and always client focused go over their limits to fulfil the client requirements. Transport services were well organized with airconditioned vehicles with very safe drivers and all the hotels provided during our three weeks in China were excellent. Can recommend to any prospective traveler who wish to visit China and other Asian countries.

My trip (Beijing-Xi'an-Shanghai) was a wonderful experience overall! Good - I loved how fully packed each days was, there was always something to do everyday. You were able to socialise with your tour group and get to know them well easily. There were so many activities that were organised that it would take up the whole day so this trip so not for people that like to sit in their hotel all day. Personally, I loved the chaotic and eccentric environment that China provided and if you know the language even just a little bit then it is a massive bonus and will really help you when bargaining for items in some markets. The tour guides were also really helpful and clear about when to meet up. They were really good at explaining the history of China, truly cared about their tour group and gave useful recommendations. If you will have an open mindset then I think you would really get along with people on a trip like this. Just brace yourself for a lively and chaotic nature of China and almost forgot - get prepared for the humid and hot temperatures that China provides in Summer so I would recommend wearing as light clothing as possible! Bad - Communication and organisation skills were lacking in some areas. Especially when preparing for the trip, I wasn't informed about how the trip would look like precisely (e.g - I didn't know that my Shanghai tour was going to be private). However, people at Top China Travel were kind and helpful in their response once you would inform them about such issue. Also the price of the whole trip was reasonable but wasn't informed about the extra stuff you had to pay for (tip to driver, some transfers required extra pay etc.) So if you would like to sign up then I would do it no later than 8 weeks in advanced to discuss your plans and get appropriate vaccines (wasn't informed about which vaccines to get either). A lot of things you may have to find out yourself and do a little research. Also this trip does not fully go in depth about the history of China associated with each tourist attraction we visited so good to do your own in depth research and then use the tour group to see the buildings live. Overall - Personally for me, this trip fitted very well. Due to me being in my early 20's and a student, I suppose I like the chaotic side of stuff too and had loads of fun and took it with a sense of humour but I am aware that it may be inconvenient for some. So I will definitely sign up to another one of those trips again, this time a little more prepared :)

In August 2024 I visited China. I took a 20-day private tour with Top China Travel, visiting various parts of China, such as Tibet, Xian, Longji, cruise along the Li River, Sanghai, Beijing... and my experience has been fantastic. These are some wonderful places that I recommend visiting to those who intend to travel to China. The success of the trip has been largely due to the excellent services provided by Top China Travel, with friendly guides and drivers, very knowledgeable about their areas and attentive to the last detail of their clients' needs. Went on private tour to Beijing and Xian with TCT. Tour guides in Beijing, Tracy and in Xi'an, Tony, were very patient with us as we move very slow due to old age. Kudos to both of them. They make the tour interesting and enjoyable. Thank you.

We took a private tour for 3. Quite a long journey from Beijing. Fortunately the weather was goof although and didn't start to rain untik we finish the walk up to the great wall and took the cable car down. Not advisable to walk especially for elder people. Had to stop .many times to catch a breath. The 2 seater open cable chair is quite dangerous for elderly people who were not well informed to lift your legs from the foot bar and alight from the chair in opposite directions. Almost fell off when alighting as the chairs do.not stop. There were countless numbers of giant millipedes along the steps to the great wall. Had a very sumptious lunch at Mutianyu with many souvenir shops. After that we hurried back to Beijing to see the Bird Nest Olympic Stadium and Water cube indoor stadium. Unfortunately the weather was raining heavily and we had to brave through the crowd to take a few photos and ended the trip soaking wet. Nevertheless the tour guide was very friendly accommodating.

Definately, recommend using an organised tour in China and Top China Travel was great. Joyce organised and personalised our tour, that included Beijing, Xian, Shanghai and Guilin/Yangshuo. Tour guides and drivers were great. All things on itinerary including trains and planes ran to schedule. We had a great time!

We took a 14 day trip through Beijing, Xi'an, Chengdu, Lhasa, then overland to Kathmandu via the Everest Base Camp. The tour was part of a group tour in Tibet, and private in other sections. Our travel agent was Yocky Yang, who was just fantastic with all arrangements. She provided great advice and handholding in the planning stage and helped address our apprehensions in this phase. Her advice was solid, and even better than what we got on the grapevine. She was very patient as we worked through multiple itineraries, answered our questions, accommodated many customizations and provided us a very competitive price quote. All our guides were highly qualified and knowledgeable, from Mr. Steven in Beijing, Sally in Xi'an, Rosalie in Chengdu, and Lhakdon in Lhasa. We would really like to flag Mr. Steven, Rosalie and Lhakdon for going above and beyond and taking personal care of us. It was touching, and we made friends with them. In summary, we had a great experience and I would gladly give my business to Top China Travel again!
