- Excursion1743650 contributionsIf you travel to Hangzou and miss West Lake and surroundings, then you've not been to HZ yet. Please go back!Hey there, once in Hangzhou (HZ), please do yourself a favor; go visit the West Lake. In fact, it is a World Heritage Site. Sail by traditional boats to the island (forgot the name). Visit the exile residence of Chang Kai Check. Sceneries are just out of this world. I took more than 100 pics. And the last not the least; stay until late in the afternoon for the symphony and colorful water display! It is a life time souvenir.Written April 13, 2020

- Odyssey4907900 contributionsLovely time spentWho would have thought that this beautiful lake consumed this valley. Even seeing the lilies that are on their currency. Really cool. Be aware though - it's humid on the lake ... so take plenty of water!Written January 15, 2019
- andjesnic230 contributionsA step back on timeSome reviews I have read said there is no need to spend the whole day here. I disagree with this. There are two parts to Wuzhen, East and West. We didn't visit both as there really isn't enough time to do both properly within 1 day. The other one probably doesn't need a full day and maybe that's what some of the reviews are referring too. Take the boat to ride down the canal to the furthest point and make your way around the town criss crossing over the bridges. They have guide maps to help you. Some very interesting points. We went to a museum that showed us how the women used to bind their feet, a buddhist temple and much much more. Incredible history and how this water town still stands dated back as far as the Song and Ming Dynasties. Next time I would like to visit a water town that has a hotel to experience the night as see how it's lit up at night with the traditional lanterns.Written January 12, 2019
- cniroshinie0 contributionsHangzhou city tour is recommendedWe visited west lake, Lingyin temple, famous dragon tea village and Liuhe pagoda. It was a short and nice trip. our tour guide Rainbow was very nice and friendly. she explained many hings about the places and it was great. Lunch was nice and the vehicle was comfortable too. Though it was in summer time, we didn't feel much tired during the trip. It is worth for the money we paid and highly recommended.Written August 3, 2018
