About the operator

- aviationc480 contributionsBest experience ever in Xi'an China!!!The best experience ever in China! This is definitely a must visit place and contains so much rich history on China's past. The guides provided great information on how the place formed and its background information. I can understand Chinese, so it is very fortunate for me as the guides do not speak English. If you cannot understand Chinese, download an app to help you or choose another tour.Written October 1, 2024
- erdala9100 contributionsGreat Terra Cotta and Xi'an experienceMy wife and I opted for a private tour, as it is better suited to our ages. Our tour guide Linda was great. She was very patient when we were a little late starting out. She explained everything very well, navigated us expertly in crowded areas and showed us the best highlights of the Terra Cotta army. We saw all three pits with excellent explanations. She also patiently answered all our questions. We then had a very tasty and filling lunch along the way back to town. In town we first went to the Wild Goose Pagoda, then to the city wall entrance and up the wall to the Arrow Tower. We walked in the Pagoda area and on the city wall, with Linda explaining details and history. We were then driven to the theater for an elaborate dinner complete with rice wine, and a colorful beautiful show with music and dancing. Our driver was also great and made sure we were comfortable and embarked and disembarked at the most suitable locations. He also did not mind stopping at an ATM for us to replenish our dwindling Yuan supply. We enjoyed the tour immensely, thanks to both of them and the planners of the tour.Written September 25, 2024

- vishalt7030 contributionsSimply awesomeThe tour was beyond our expectations from the Terracotta Soldiers, Muslim corner, the mosque to the City Wall, it was simply awesome and plenty of knowledge about the Chinese history. It would not have been as informative and thorough as well as an adventure back in the past with our guide Tina. Tina has an amazing bank of knowledge and delivers with such enthusiasm and pride ensuring every detail is mentioned. Her english is well spoken and accurate, which was very important for us. We had lunch together and explored the Muslim corner, the mosque learning as we go, expanding our knowledge on the dynasties, the silk road and the wide rich culture of China. We ended the tour at the City Wall which was the last exciting phase of our day.Written September 25, 2024

- Katya0150 contributionsExcellent private tourWe just finished a great tour to the Terracotta Army and the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. Our guide Linda was excellent; very fluent in English, knowledgeable and kind. She gave us so much information which we would not have had if visiting alone. We had a great time visiting this magnificent archeological find, followed by a delicious lunch in a traditional restaurant, and finally seeing the beautiful Pagoda complex. Our taxi was comfortable and pick-up and drop-off at our hotel made the day easier, especially due to the heat. Of course, customising the tour to see what we wanted is a great bonus of a private tour. Highly recommended. Xièxiè!Written September 19, 2024
- ashleyfT9604UY0 contributionsGreat way to see Warriors & Xi'anThis tour was a great way to see the Terracotta Warriors and Xi'an. Everything I saw was beautiful! My tour guide Linda was so lovely and very informative. Few hours at the Terracotta Warriors and then 2 other stops of your choice. Would definitely recommend this tour!Written September 3, 2024
- FazilahA160 contributionsVery Mindful, Very Considerate. very Demure Tour Guide in Xi AnWe had our private tour on 31/8/24. Cindy , our guide was warmth, cari g and knowledgeable. She was very efficient and capable in handling emergency as proven when our Terracota ticket booked via Klook was not accepted at the entrance. Her sharing on the history of Xi An as well as the pre Qin Dynasty and Qin Shi Huang Ti was lime the documentary I watched in Netflix. She was patient in answering questions from my 2 daughters. She suggested Making the Warrior activity, Tuo Ling Legend show and the Bell Tower. Her suggestions were fantastic. If you ever come to Xi An , do engage Cindy. . yes Cindy . We must save up and visit your hometown Xinjiang , its one of our bucket-list! Thank you for working extra hours for us too.. all the best!Written September 1, 2024

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Steven. He is very knowledgeable about Chinese history and was able to answer all of our queries. He told us many interesting stories as he skilfully navigated us around the crowds of the Terracotta Warriors. I would highly recommend Steven as a tour guide!

We did a day trip by bullet train from Beijing so the schedule was going to be tight to get everything done.
We met our guide Mr Fish Li at the station and immediately made our way to the museum.
Traffic and crowds was awfully bad going in and we had to decide to get out of car and walk to avoid wasting time.
Inside it was like 1/2 the Chinese population decided to descend on the Warriors the same day we went!
The queues and crowds were unbelievable.
Even with these challenges, Mr Li was superb and made every effort to get us through the crowds and into all the pits.
He managed our expectations on what we could possibly see and get around to but somehow he got us around and covered all detail from start to finish.
Mr Li is an exceptional guide, great sense of humor, fountain of knowledge and more importantly really did everything he could to ensure we got everything. He even took us into the station and directly to our platform.
Thank you so much for ensuring our trip was worth while and meeting our expectations in every way.
I’d highly recommend getting Mr Fish Li as a guide.

We were so lucky to have Cindy as our guide. She was so knowledgeable about he Terracotta Warriors and told us many interesting stories that made them come to life. Cindy’s English is A+. Also, she was very flexible as we booked the wrong date. She came a day early to accommodate our schedule. Very nice!

Great tour organized very well. A driver picked us up at our hotel along with our guide Linda. Linda was amazing. He explained the history of the terracotta army and answered all our questions and curiosities. He also helped us to buy tickets for a show in the afternoon, at the end of the tour they drove us back to the hotel. Assolutamente consigliato!

Highly recommend this tour, and can’t say enough great things about Rosa, our tour guide! We landed in Xi’an in the morning, and were able to customize our pick-up time at our hotel to fit the only afternoon we had open on our tight schedule. Rosa’s English was perfect and she did a wonderful job explaining the rich history of the city, the dynasties of the past, and the Terra Cotta warriors. Rosa’s storytelling really helped us to appreciate everything that we saw, and we were able to capture some incredible photos to keep the great memories for a lifetime.

Rosa from Catherine Lu Tours was a fantastic guide. We found her through GetMyGuide and she was very knowledgeable about her city Xi’an and the whole history around the Terracotta Army. A wonderful experience and we saw a fully immersive experience show after all about the Silk Road.

This was a great experience. Our guide Cindy and the car driver picked us up at our hotel and we drove to the Terracota warriors location. She explained to us, in perfect English, about the first Emperor and his mausoleum as well as the army itself. She gave us all the info we needed about Xi'an and the geography around it. At the army site she showed us all the point of interest, told us the stories behind each figure and how they were found. Additionally she walked us through the background of their restoration and helped us take great photos to commemorate the event. Afterwards she arranged for us to create our own mini Terracota warriors which was so fun! Finally we drove back to our hotel in Xi'an where we concluded our day.

The terracotta warriors are okay for a photo op and that's about it. We went in June. The heat was incredible and the massive halls where they are kept are so hot and crowded. I took 6 quick photos and left.spending hours in transport and walking in the heat was not worth it. NEVER choose summer to go and remember that it will always be crowded.

Dear Mr./Ms. Donricos,
We are sorry that you had poor experience. We did not find your booking with us. Would you please provide your booking reference number with us? If you did visit the Terracotta Warriors independently or with another tour operator, would you please move your review to the correct listing?
Best regards,
Mason

How long does this tour take? If we depart at 8am is it possible to be back at our hotel by 12pm for checkout? Or would we be better off checking out and bringing our things with us on the tour?

I agree - if you are on a private tour, the guide will work within your timespan - so worth the visit! Enjoy it
