About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 163ronaldl0 contributionsVery ImpressiveDrove to the Terracotta Warriors archaeological site to see a vast collection of more than 7,000 life-size soldiers, horses and chariots in three separate buildings. All the above were entombed with Qin Shi Huang, China’s first emperor. This site was first discovered by farmers in 1974 and is still being excavated today.Written January 25, 2025
- Explorer5953150 contributionsFantastic guided tour with Linda!Linda is an exceptional tour guide. She is knowledgeable, friendly and speaks fluent English. On the day of the tour, she waited for us promptly at the hotel by 8am. We had a short discussion to confirm the sites we wanted to visit, which included the big goose pagoda and the terracotta warrior museum. She spoke of the site history in great details (in both mandarin and English) and took us to the best spots for photos. At the end of the tour, she took us to a lovely local Chinese restaurant and we had a delicious lunch. The whole trip took about 8 hours. We were extremely impressed with her knowledge of the sites, and hope that we would return to visit Xi’an in the future. I would highly recommended to book a tour with Linda.Written January 21, 2025
- F9721SQtamaran0 contributionsA great day in Xi’an.Spring was a great tour guide, very friendly and knowledgeable. She was warm and light hearted and also as a born and bred Xi’an native knew the Warriors site and history inside and out. She took me to a restaurant and we ate a delicious local dish. This tour is a must for any one who loves history or archeology. I would highly recommend.Written January 15, 2025
- hubertusl20250 contributionsXi'an guide & driver (Mary)Yesterday we visited the Terracotta Army with Mary, a great guide & driver. The tour was perfectly organised. She picked us up from hotel... was both our driver and guide for the tour. You can tell she is proud of her heritage and proud of her city (Xi'an). Good guide/drivers that speak very good English are hard to find in Xi'an. She is very pleasant to spend the tour with and very knowledgeable.Written January 11, 2025
- benhN8781UH0 contributionsGreat Tour with Cindy! The tour was fantastic! Our guide Cindy picked us up from the hotel at 9am and took us all the way out to the warriors. On the drive there (with our great driver) she passed on so much useful and interesting historical and cultural information which greatly contextualised our trip. Having taken us around the warriors and explaining more useful information in great detail, we had a nice local lunch. It was also great to then. be taken to the city wall and Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Cindy knew so much about each location, her English was perfect, and she was a lot of fun in addition to being very knowledgeable. We would definitely recommend this tour.Written January 7, 2025
- Wander468142966610 contributionsVisit to the terracotta warriors museumOur guide was Linda Guo and she was amazing. She picked us up at our hotel in the morning and brought us to see the terracotta warriors. After spending 3 hours learning about the history of the terracotta warriors, she recommended us a local restaurant that served the best food we’ve had in Xian. She also brought us to the city wall, bell tower and muslim quarters. At the end of our day with her, she kindly helped to arrange our transport to the train station as well. My family enjoyed spending the day with Linda and we highly recommend her!Written December 6, 2024

- daniellV1201VD0 contributionsTerracotta warriors, city wall, and the Muslim quarters were all enjoyableLinda was extremely informative and provided historical details that we would not have noticed. Example: the paint and the craft details in terracotta warriors, where the best view points were from city wall, and offered alternatives and proper planning throughout the trip. Secured our tickets to all sites prior to visiting too, making it a very smooth experienceWritten November 20, 2024

The Terracotta Warriors Museum can be seen in Xi'an, in western China. There are 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots and 520 horses made from a form of clay. The Terracotta Warriors began construction in 247 BC and commemorates the emperor, Qin Shi Huang. Activity went on until 210 BC. The Terracotta Warrior Museum is stunning, the warriors are all different to each other. The actual tomb of the emperor is nearby. The trip to Xi'an is a fascinating tour to the historic museum.

Terracotta army museum is about 1 hour dribe from the centre of xian. It is a truly amazing site and a lot of walking is required to get there. There are 3 main areas. Hall one contains the actual statues in situ but many of them are damaged and not much else has been excavated in recent years. Some of artefacts on display are replicas as the ariginals have been lost or damAged beyond repair. Be prepared for the visit to the terracotta clay modelling area the gifts are good but very expensive!

Our two day visit was the highlight of our China visit. Grace (tour guide) and our driver were magnificent and so organised, they made our tour so enjoyable and took the stress out of our trip. Terracotta Warriors tours are very professional and their communication (Mason) with the customer is one of the best we have have experienced. We would highly recommend them to any travellers and they are No. 1 on our list. Well done Grace, Mason and the drivers.

Truly lucky to view these mighty terra cotta warriors from a different century, to see the size of the complex and wonder of the skills of these craftsmen, then the walk on that amazing Great wall and ponder on the mighty effort and lives lost) made to create such an iconic structure still standing today. Truly memorable experience. Thank you to Globus tours for organising such a great tour.
