It was a rainy day but that worked out perfectly as it made the mountain less crowded with no wait for the bus, cable car or paths on top. We were fortunate that the weather cleared when we got to the top. Betty- our guide- was great and very informative including dinner recommendations. She also stayed with my mom (77 but in very good shape) while I went off to climb towards the middle peak once we reached the top of north peak. There we were greeted with stunning, majestic views surrounded by melodious calls from other visitors. Magical! It is understandable why this place is so important in China. Even if it were crowded it would be worth the trip. Just an incredible and special landscape. Just the cable car ride itself was thrilling. Being picked up and dropped off was a true luxury as well. Our driver (Zhang) was excellent especially as it was rainy and cloudy with heavy traffic on the drive out. He even played Chinese music for us at our request on the trip back. The tour operator (Jeff Ning) also checked in on us since it was bad weather, so the service was excellent by every measure.

The day trip to the wall was amazing! We drove a little further which was well worth the drive because it was quieter. The cable car ride was a beautiful way to see the sites. The Summer Palace was quite spectacular. Our tour guide Michael was very knowledgeable and guided us through the crowds with ease.

Amazing experiencia! I did the tour with Lin, and she started telling me about the history of the mount and of Xian as son as the car picked me up at the hotel. We reached all the peaks, and throughout the entire day I got to learn a lot about the culture and history of Xian. Lin also recommended me places and restaurants to visit and she even helped me with subway instructions to move around, she was the best guide in China by far! Great tour!

The views are amazing, Linn brought us on a brisk walk and was considerate of our speed. There was explanations of history of Huashan as well as key photo taking locations and we went back tired and fulfilled.
Going up the west peak by cable car and coming down from the north peak by cable car is highly recommended!

Dodo was a great tour guide. She was able to answer all our questions about the mountain. She also explains the history. This tour pays for the cable car and shuttle bus, most others do not. The guide takes you up the cable car and then you hike on your own. Suggestions on where to go are provided. Bring snacks or lunch to eat on your hike!

If you’re looking for a totally unique tour experience you can’t beat Jeff Ning’s Private Day tour of Mt. Huashan with Round-Trip Cable Car from Xi’an. Our guide, Tilla, was excellent and gave us an authentic flavor of Xi’an with very colorful detail of it’s history and culture. This tour was worth the money just for the bus ride to the mountain. She really was phenomenal! Once we got to Huashan we boarded a cable car that provided us with a once in a lifetime experience of breathtaking views and plenty of photo opps. Once the cable car reached it’s destination we were offered more spectacular views and plenty of hiking. Comfortable shoes are a must! We wore light weight tennis shoes and did fine.
This was a great tour and a fantastic experience.

What a fantastic view on the way up with cable car. If you are acrophobic, this is one way to conquer. But all in all, a nice trip.
Also, our guide was very accommodating, we spent 2 hours between the passage when we agreed on only 1, because the view was just totally amazing.
