We arrived late to Xian, but Kathy was still willing to meet us for a food tour, and what a food tour it was. She made sure we tried all the customary local foods, and took us to only the best and freshest restaurants in the Muslim district! It was raining quite heavily, but Kathy’s energy and excitement was contagious and irrepressible. What could have been a miserable experience, was in fact a very enjoyable gastronomic evening! Kathy knows her town, and loves to see everybody enjoy it as well. Can’t say enough about Kathy and her tours! We highly recommend them!

We took a 2 days tour with Kathy. She speaks good English and was very accommodating. She sent a driver to pick us from the airport at 2am. Her driver though not able to communicate in English, was a pleasant guy..very helpful and always smiling. Transport was clean and comfy too. Kathy provided services way above expectations. She gave us lavish lunches too. She went up to Mount Hua with us and walked in the Muslim Quarters to explain the varieties of dishes. Overall, we are happy with her services and her kind personality.

Kathy was a good and knowledgeable English and mandarin tour guide for our trip at Xi’an. She is very informative and friendly, and was able to attend to our needs. We found Kathy on Trip advisor and the excellent reviews given about her made us choose her straight away. It's exactly what we wanted - someone who would tailor the programme according to our interests ( mainly history and Chinese culture). She did just that. Without telling her anything she quickly realised what we were after and gave us as much information as possible. My son wanted to revisit Pit 1at the end of the Warriors tour and she waited patiently for us to do just that I was fascinated by the Muslim street food and she kept buying me one delicacy after another. It was heaven! I wanted to visit the Grand Mosque and she took us there even though it was not on the official itinerary. But the epitome of her caring nature was during the Tang Dynasty show. She didn't leave until she made sure we had great seats with an excellent view. If you want to do a Xi'an private tour do it with Kathy!

This is our first trip in China with private tour guides. Kathy our guide in Xian is very experienced and gave us great suggestions when putting together the itinerary. She also helped organised our excursion to Luoyang. Michelle our guide in Luoyang was very knowledgeable and organised. Both drivers were excellent and we felt very well looked after. We are so glad to have found Kathy on TripAdvisor and had a thoroughly enjoyable trip. Private tour is a great way to visit China, we love the comfort, flexibility and access to local knowledge (food especially) which you don’t get with group tours.

My elderly parents , my husband and i took the tour from Kathy's company during our recent visit to Xian. we are extremely satisfied with our guide Wendy and the driver. We were also mesmerized by the beauty of Huashan, the tour that Kathy recommended which were not in our itinerary. Hua shan tour is the best in this first trip to Xian. Overall Xian is a very charming, clean city. i will definately visit Xian again.

Our tour in Xi'an with Kathy was excellent! My partner and I carefully researched tour options prior to our travel and after our experience yesterday, I know we made the right choice to book with Kathy. She was prompt, flexible, easy to understand and above all, was a kind and honest tour guide. While the tour was scheduled to finish at 5pm she went ABOVE AND BEYOND, taking us for a personalised tour down Muslim Street and accompanying us for a traditional Chinese massage and dumpling banquet. Hi folks. We have just returned home from a couple of wonderful weeks in China. Just by chance I contacted Kathy Chen to be our guide while staying in Xian. Maybe I found Kathy through TripAdvisor, however I did, Kathy fulfilled the high reviews she receives. Kathy knows her way around. She knows how to bypass the Warrior queue so her guests are well and truly inside before the mad rush. Her expert knowledge on the local history is mind blowing. Kathy was our personal friend from the moment she met us at our hotel. The driver and vehicle at used were of a high standard. Airport pick up and delivery left us with high regard for Kathy's skills in looking after her customers. Many thanks Kathy for looking after we three so well.

Kathy is a lovely person, very flexible. Great at recommending events and happy to help assist and arrange other activities, even helped pick up our dry cleaning. Kathy took my husband and I on an awesome tour of Xi'an. It was tailored to exactly what we wanted to do. Kathy is very knowledgeable when it comes to the history behind Xi'an which is exactly what we wanted. Highlight of our tour was the Terracotta Warriors and finding out the Wild Goose Pagoda is Tripitaka's Temple (Monkey Magic). She took us to a restaurant where we had the best noodles we have ever tasted. I highly recommend Kathy as a tour guide for Xi'an as she went above and beyond to make our tour in Xi'an history filled and enjoyable.
