This private city tour focuses on foreign layover travellers who have a flight stopover in Guangzhou with China Southern Airline and take advantage of the 24 or 144 hours free transit visa policy to leave the airport and enter the city for a tour.
We will pick you up at Guangzhou airport (or your layover hotel) in Guangzhou to start the tour, visit the major sites in downtown Guangzhou and at the end of the tour, drop you off at the airport(or your layover hotel) for your connecting flight depart from Guangzhou.
This is a tailor-made private tour only for you (your group), highly flexible and the itinerary could be customized based on your interest or special request. You will have a full experience of Guangzhou from a local's perspective with the company of a knowledgeable local guide and a private air-con vehicle with driver, and have traditional Cantonese dim sum for lunch/dinner. We had originally booked a tour into the mountains but due to the heavy rain we thought it would be best to do a local tour instead. Candice was very happy to change plans at the last minute. We decided to go to the Guangzhou tea market (the largest in China) and try some different sorts of tea. We went into a few different shops and Candice explained the different types and their flavours, and how each one is brewed. Candice also kindly translated the shop keepers jokes! We then went to lunch at an amazing restaurant for yum cha. The food was absolutely delicious. Overall it was a great experience and we were so grateful that Candice was able to change plans without any trouble. We would recommend her to anyone visiting Guangzhou.

We climb up the gorge and took the roller coaster ride down to save some time. Damon is an amazing tour operator. He was waiting for me at the airport and excited to show me the city of Guangzhou. Showing me the beauty of Guangzhou, Damon had a deep knowledge of the history of the sites we visited. He was able to answer my questions while ensuring I saw the best sites with my limited layover. The tour, food, and people of Guangzhou are special and it shows in this tour. I wish Damon the best and hope to see him soon again to learn more.

Thank you for your rating and sharing, yes China is open to the world now and Guangzhou offers free transit visa to travellers who have a layover in the city, they can stay up to 144 hours(6 days) in Guangzhou without needing a China visa, as long as they fly with China Southern Airline for both the arrival flight and onward flight via Guangzhou(stopover). We look forward to receiving more travellers taking advantage of this to visit Guangzhou in the near future.^_^.

We had a layover in Guangzhou and our guide was very accommodating. We saw a lot in the time spent.
We couldn't have asked for a better guide, knowledgable, personable and very easy to understand.
There were concerns about where we would meet our guide, but those were all worked out and it couldn't have been any better.

My family and I had a layover in Guangzhou and we hired Zach to show us around. He was so great, on time, and spoke really good english. He took us around the city and showed us all the main attractions. He even went out of his way to show us the different markets that my kids really wanted to visit. I would definitely recommend him for you layover excursion, you won't be disappointed.

Candice was great, we had excellent communication before, during and after the tour. Candice was able to answer any questions and tailored the tour to suit our needs. Very knowledgeable and proud of Guangzhou, it was a delight to be shown around. Highly recommend the night tour and also Bainyan Mountain. Heaps to see and Guangzhou is so beautiful. Don't forget to spend time in Old Town.
