- alianoushiravani00Stunning night view in Pearl river through CruiseWe were invited by one of our clients to have a special night in Pearl river and visit city from another angel. He reserved the VIP section for us which was in top floor of cruise. It passed through river and we could take many pictures with different backgrounds such as Canton Tower, Bridges and tall building. It has stunning view night
- DerekO47500An amazing experience....one for the bucket list...Yangtze Gold 8 River Cruise Yichang to Chongqing Johnson was our contact for booking the tour and he did an amazing job (Chengdu Bamboo International Tours). The cruuse was incredible! Amazing scenery and always something thing to do with the extra day tours that are part of the itinerary. I suggest doing the ship lift on the Three Gorges Tour, quite an experience and worth the money. I also strongly suggest you upgrade the meal package and dine in the upstairs dining rooms with small groups and a separate buffet. Much more relaxing. The boat was OK, it felt a little damp and it's time for an upgrade of facilties, but overall excellent value for the money.
- Coastal2585437241400Five relaxing days on Victoria SabrinaWe really enjoyed the Cruise on Victoria Sabrina. It’s a very new ship. The rooms were very comfortable, the food was excellent and the crew very friendly and helpful! We were the only west people on the ship and on the ship as well as on the excursions they translated everything in English - just for four persons!
- JacksonGZTrips00Delicious and delicate.Delicious and delicate. The food in Guangzhou is the best. The old town is worth visiting if you want to know history and cultures of Guangzhou. Travelling in Guangzhou is not so difficult except for some language problems until recently the GZ government has had an interpretation hotline(+8620960169), which can provide great service for public affairs and government services. I used several times taking taxi and asking for directions, the interpreters are quite professional.
- jooles r00A great night outWhat a view!! The smorgasbord was a great selection, tasty and as much as you liked. One of the best western selection i have experienced in China. Anything you could want, beef, lamb, chicken, seafood, including lobster were all there. Even soft drinks and beer were included. Desserts and bread plentiful. A little pricey but well worth it.
- BirtheEriksen00A Hidden Gem AreaWe enjoyed our trip very much and our tour guide Mango did an excellent job. It is good time to go now, as hardly any tourists at both destinations. The Gulong Cave had a lot if entertainment options, but besides all the tivoli offers it actually is a very beautiful place.
- laundryv00Chimelong Circus ShowIt was preforming by a multi nations team. The animals was well trained and followed the instructions. We are enjoyed the show.
- laundryv00GuangZhou Pearl River night viewI went there with my family and my kids enjoyed. It’s a very nice view although is raining day. Very beautiful lighting effect.
- Jane D00Would go againWe cruised on the Yangtze River Explorer 4. The ship was beautiful with spacious rooms and excellent cabin attendants. The spacious bar/ social gathering room had plenty of windows to watch the beautiful views. The dining room was spacious and had excellent food and attentive service. I had some food allergies and they made dishes for me. So appreciative! There were plenty of activities such as learning about traditional Chinese Accupuncture, scarf tying, making dumplings, mah jhong lessons, and lectures about the gorges to name a few. We did the shore excursions as well. The rooms had balconies to relax at the end of the day. I can hardly wait to go again!
- Lee T00Hospital empat guide and beautiful night viewport of the Perak river area!Kind and Courteous guide. Good Food and beautiful view of pearl river. Very enjoyable tour- recommend for others.
- Travelrat1436600Don’t buy here onlineIt is $17.90 USD to buy online here, but only 98 RMB, which is $14 USD to buy in person. It would be worth it if you don’t have to wait in line, but you still have to wait in the same line to pick up the actual ticket, so what’s the point? Also the attitude of the Blue Dolphin staff at the ticket counter is horrible, there are 3 lines, no signs indicating which line is for what purpose, but the line on the right simply tell you to go to the other 2 lines after you waited in that line for 10 minutes, so you have to start wait again. Don’t bother to download the “ticket” that TripAdvisor sent you, it’s useless as it is only demonstrated you paid TripAdvisor, but does not have the necessary number for the boat company, and the staff don’t read English. Save the email with Chinese on it, that’s the only piece of paper they will accept to give you a real ticket. I witnessed another couple unable to get the real boarding ticket because they only had the TripAdvisor’s voucher. The boat is large and has 3 decks. For $17.90 you get a juice box and a airline type bag of nuts. If you paid the $79, you get a buffet, which is way over priced from what I can see. Definitely do not recommend that. Soft Drinks and beers are relatively inexpensive and not al rip off, so that’s a plus. Seats are numbered, so unless you can fill the table of 4, you will be sitting with strangers. I see 6 or 7 other boats on the river at the same time, so I recommend you try the other ones and avoid this one for the simple reason that there is no benefit whatsoever to buy the ticket here online, and causes more confusion than just buy it at the counter.
- stl257000Wow what a trip!! Beautiful area!We flew to Zhangjiajie instead of taking the bullet train. Once we hit the ground we never stopped, we went to the National Park and took a walk to see the monkeys. We checked into the hotel early evening and we were own on our for supper. The second day we took the bus to the top!! We took the glass elevator down late in the afternoon. Our guide took us to a very remote section of the NP for a great pic!! Nobody was there!! AWESOME views!!! On the third day we went to Tianmen Mountain which is on the other side of Zhangjiajie. We took the cable car to the top and we took the escalator down the mountain. We walked on the glass walkway!! We did not take the 999 steps down, but we got a nice pic at the bottom of the steps! We did have to wait in a few lines. The lines for the cable car were really long. It took us an hour from start to finish to get on a cable car. Maybe a skip the line option could be added? This area is busy but not overrun yet, but that time is coming! My advice is to go before the town booms!! There were not many westerners visiting this area yet. If you need a western toilet, look for the handicap facilities, but be careful some of them were locked! Overall the guide was nice and helpful. If they could offer some dinner recommendations that would be great!!!
- Bolo888800An outstanding experienceI went on this cruise tour at the beginning of August and want to express my great impression it made on me. Being the only Westerner on board among several hundreds of locals was a real adventure in itself:-) As for the boat and its staff, they were high-class, not to mention the experiences I lived along the route down the Yangtze river. Very appreciated the visit to the Fengdu ghost city as well as the excursion to one of the Yangtze's tributary on smaller vessels. While the final visit to the spectacular and breath-taking Three Gorges Dam was the worthy crowning of the entire cruise.
- AamirSK00River nite tourThis was a fun experience something to do when in Guangzhou. The ferry’s are nice n well maintained. They have diffent category of tickets depending on the area where to sit but all are allowed on the top deck once the tour begins It’s a nice way to relax after a long day The building and the light show is nice to watch and the lightning effects on the canton tower from the ferry are a nice sight
- brendanhoranhk00Good service, freindly staff, over all vey good day out!We booked this tour via their web site. There was no issues with communications, replies to email questions was prompt and detailed. On the day the guide met us in the hotel lobby on time with no issues. The car they had was pretty new and very clean and comfortable. They had enough free water as well to last the day. The driver was friendly and drove well. It is a 2hour drive at best from Guangzhou, sadly we hit road works on the way out and that added more time to the trip. Can't do much about the road works or traffic jams but do keep this in mind that the travel time can very a lot. The guide had decent English, and was quite knowledgeable about the area and also Guangzhou. She also made a point of asking about what we would like to eat for lunch and if there is anything we do not want to eat or can't eat. We eat everything so that made it easy but I get the impression that she would go the extra mile to help you if you have diet requirements. She guided us around al the tour sites and gave insight about each of them. The kaiping diaolou's have decent amount of English information about them as well. This was a nice surprise. The area and buildings are well preserved and maintained. At no point was the tour "rushed" or we felt like we had to stick to a set route around the sites. Lunch was at a local restaurant, we were well taken care of and enjoyed the food that was served. The guide went out of her way to ensure we enjoyed our lunch. We finished off the reaming diaolou's after lunch and the started the trip back to the hotel. By this time traffic was quite bad. the return trip was around 3 hours. This is no fault of the tour at all but a reminder to save extra time if you had somewhere to be after the tour. Over all we are both very happy with the service and the tour it self. Nothing felt rushed or forced. There was no "shopping" stops. Lunch was amazing. The guide and driver where helpful and friendly. I would be happy to use Silk Road trips again for any tours they offer.
