Meet your guide in Palace Square and take in views of the Winter Palace. Pass the spot where the Beef Stroganoff dish was invented and continue toward the impressive cathedral in St. Isaac’s Square. Learn about the structure's many uses over the centuries and its architectural flourishes, and see the symbol of St. Petersburg: the bronze horseman.

Cross the Neva River and stop for panoramic views of the Palace Embankment. See the Hermitage Museum, the Chamber of Curiosities, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, and the Admiralty.

Next, follow your guide to the oldest structure in the city, and the site where the town of Peter started in 1703. Opt to take a look inside the cathedral, the burial place of Russian emperors.

Continue past the Field of Mars and the Summer Gardens to the most famous church in town, built where the Russian emperor Alexander II was assassinated in 1881.

Then stroll along Nevsky Prospect, bustling with restaurants, theaters, museums, and ornate palaces of the ex-Russian aristocracy, and learn the history behind the area as you go.

Afterward, make your last stop at a traditional Russian cafe to try traditional dishes such as Beef Stroganoff, borsch (soup), or blinis (pancakes). Your walking tour will end here.
