This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Starichkov Island, Yelizovo Russia

Starichkov Island is located near the entrance to Avacha Bay. Its area is small - about half a square kilometer, but in this small area there are about 44 nesting colonies of ten species of marine colonial birds. Pacific seagulls, thick-billed murre, bering cormorants, red-faced cormorants, ordinary old men, after whom the island is named, and other species are found here. In 1981, in order to preserve the bird markets and create conditions for quiet nesting and breeding of birds, the island was declared a natural monument. Every year, employees of the Kamchatka branch of the Pacific Geographical Institute of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and visiting specialists carry out scientific observations of various groups of living organisms here.

Helpful and affable guide went beyond just guiding and recommended restaurants, made reservations, arranged for UBER to cruise port and confirmed price. Highly recommend.

Novodevich’ye Convent & cemetery
Much of the convent/monastery is under serious renovation so the buildings are clad in scaffolding and closed to visitors. Nonetheless the grounds are pretty and tranquil and some of the buildings already beautifully restored. We only realised as we left that there is a ticket kiosk away from the entrance with displayed fees of Rb300, but no one asked us for a ticket, perhaps because the usual price is not justified given the state of reconstruction. At the cemetery next door a burly guard directed us to an unmarked door and insisted we had to by tickets Rb300/adult and Rb200/student. No prices displayed but proper tickets issued. Lonely Planet says entry is free - we think it is for Russians and if you simply slip in, but foreigners are meant to pay. Actually quite impressive. Lots of impressive busts, statues, gravestones even if nothing written in English. Yeltin’s Tomb is out of place being multi-coloured and art nouveau, and surprisingly records nothing about him even in Russian as far as we could see beyond dates and name. Worth a visit.

Value for money, don't hesitate to book with U visit Russia
We wanted to visit Russia but found it expensive until we found U visit Russia, we emailed Anna and told her we wanted her to put a package together for 6 days in 2 cities, within 24 hours she had organised our itinerary and transfers with private tour guides in both cities. U visit Russia helped us with our visa's and everything went off without any problems. Victoria in St Petersberg was amazing, she was informative, knowledgeable, friendly and funny. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and absolutely loved Russia, it's got to be on your bucket list it doesn't disappoint!

Beautiful buildings
Once a palace now a parliament. Worth seeing. Only downside was you have to pay for everything. Should be one fee for all.

Fantastic Day with Anastasia
I was on the NCL Jewel ship on the transpacific cruise from Tokyo to Vancouver. Our ship had a port day in Petropavlovsk, Russia. We docked at 5 am and because of immigration, we weren't able to get off the ship until 11 am. Our wonderful tour guide, Anastasia, waited a few hours for us. We started off by driving to Paratunskiye Hot Springs. It was a resort-water park using the water from the thermal springs there. It was so interesting seeing the Russians wearing their bikinis/swim wear while there was still ice on the lake, the trees had no leaves, and there was snow all around. Personally, I had my winter coat, mittens and hat on. We had the option to swim there, but no one in our group was interested. After we spent some time there, we drove the 45 minutes back to Petropavlovsk. It was a breathtaking trip. There were snowcapped volcanoes surrounding us the entire way. While we were traveling, we were given a great understanding of the area. When we got back to town, we had a traditional, and generous lunch at a restaurant in a local mall. Other activities included going to the local history museum to find out more about the area, visiting a local grocery store (our request), taking pictures at scenic overlooks, going to the fish market (most of you will never see that much caviar in your lifetime), souvenir shopping, touring downtown, and visiting plazas and monuments. We got a late start, but Anastasia packed in so much in our time together. We had a fabulous time! The price was reasonable for all we got. I would definitely book this tour again!

Great tour with Natalia
Natalia is a great guide speaking excellent ENglish. She has explained us the different phases of the Stalingrad battle, directly on the places they took place. The factories and different locations are really impressive, especially when you are explained wat has happended. It is definitely needed to do this with a guide, as nothing is explained on signs or information panels. Natalia is the perfect person for this!

Traditional Russian Lunch - Unforgettable for ALL the wrong reasons
Just awful. Arriving at the restaurant we were 'welcomed' by a most unhappy lady, she clearly didn't want us there, we were the only customer in the room and it felt like we were there before they actually opened. All tables were laid out with napkins other than the one we were taken to which was at the back. When I requested a napkin pointing at the other tables she gestured to the paper napkins on my table, we were not worthy of cotton. The bottle of water on the table was all we were given, no offer or an another drink. The food was 4 courses of indescribable slop. A wedge of something to start that made me wretch with every mouthful which we weren't even given time to finish before the soup arrived, water with a few floating veg and still eating the sloppy starter with the soup on the side arrived the main 'something' stroganoff and I hazard a guess that it had some meat in it, there were a few chewy lumps and I have convinced myself it was beef. 6 plates of food on a small table for 2 so what better than to bring the vodka and the dessert which was the largest and heaviest apple flan/cake/frisbee. I couldn't eat it or drink the vodka for laughing so much. I have never felt so unwelcome or been served such slop ever before, tears of laughter spilled down my face - it was ludicrous. The experience lasted 40 minutes, in an out, and I have had hours recanting the story to much amusement. But don't book it, it is far too expensive a treat to waste that money. If you want to see the Ballet, just see the Ballet.

Good but not Great
We decided on this tour as we hadn't long in the city and had done the full city tour the day before. Our guide, Victoria, was charming and helpful and once again good English and knowledge. The first part of the tour was in the main Hermitage but because it was a private tour we were able to see different things from the day before. We had private entry and a guide for the Gold Room and the Diamond Room. The Gold Room was impressive but as with anything where it is plentiful it was slightly over drawn out. I was a little disappointed with the Diamond Room which although it had beautiful items including two very impressive diamond encrusted horse outfits!!! I was expecting to see, if not the original, then a good copy of Catherine's crown (pictured above) as was used to promote the tour and appears on countless Hermitage brochures.. This was not there. Nor where there any Faberge Eggs apart from a much earlier Egg which was not a Faberge creation. I enjoyed it more than my husband but perhaps a group tour would have been sufficient.

Highlights of St. Petersburg tour was amazing!
We were taken to see all the major palaces, churches and places of interest of St.Petersburg and the guide knew so much about each place as she took us around each one - ideal for first-time visitors. Congratulation for your team! Thank you very much for all your support. I am and my husband is also completely in love with your country. St. Petersburg is a diamond.

A great way to explore the Hermitage Museum
This Tour was exactly what was described in TripAdviser ... the guide whose name was Alina is a very nice and highly intellectual young woman who guided us through this amazing museum which contains millions of master pieces focusing on what 3 hours can allow us to explore including the beautiful works of Rambrant, Goya , Da Vinci and many other famous artists. The good part was that we were able to go directly into the Hermitage and not wait in long queues which is itself a great advantage. After we finished, Alina took us to a Russian restaurant adjacent to the museum and true to their word we were offered a 3 course Traditional Russian lunch which was also very good with Vodka shots. I strongly recommend this private tour , it was really a great way to explore the Hermitage as you cannot possibly do it alone in half a day or even in one day.

Disappointing dinner and ballet
The "traditional" lunch was a Caesar salad, mushroom soup and some kind of pork in an empty restaurant, so the dinner was disappointing at best and the restaurant was also very hard to find. The only thing Russian was the vodka. I went to many very good Moscow restaurants so the fact the tour picked this one is rather pathetic. The ballet was NOT at the Bolshoi and keep in mind if the weather is warm the theater does not have air conditioning and they closed all the windows during the performance. The performance was nice but not what I expected.

Trato personal y dedicado
