We throughly enjoyed our day with Tudor (Curly Tours) exploring the salt mine, hiking Turda Gorge, visiting a beautifully frescoed monastery and then a good dinner and an evening stroll around a little mountain village. Our guide’s knowledge, desire to share his love of nature and Romania, and his pleasant easygoing personality together made this day more than just a tour. Hiking was the main reason for us in booking the tour. Tudor’s knowledge of the trail took away our stress of not getting lost while assuring we’d find the perfect views. He accessed the group to determine the best and safest trail for our conditioning. I highly recommend him for this hike and any others in the area versus going it alone without a guide.

Very nice tour, with a guide that can't be better. He showed us more then we could imagine and took us to impressive places we normally would have missed. Down part of trip was that it was over at the end of the day.

We were in salt mines, a nature trip, in an amazing village with amazing views. The guide was caring, patient, friendly and with a lot of knowledge.

I did the Curly Tour - Climb Day with Tudor and had an amazing time! Tudor is really good at communicating safety techniques, before and during the climb. We went to Cheile Turzii, where the scenery during the hike and climb were incredible. The via ferrata was challenging, which is to be expected. We took a lot of beautiful pics along the way, and at the top, where we ate fruit and snackbars while enjoying the view. So many beautiful flowers in the canyon too! Tudor shares his local/history knowledge, making the trip special indeed. If you want a good challenge with great views, book this Climb Day with Curly Tours!

In spite of our original trip being cancelled due to the weather, Tudor planned a fabulous alternative trip for us including racing down a zip line, a fascinating tour of the salt mine at Salina Turda, a beautiful scenic hike and a visit to the picturesque village of Rimetea and the stunning Comana Monastery. We saw some amazing sights, had a great day and Tudor is a very knowledgable guide who takes good care of his clients. 100% recommend!

Tudor was so knowledgeable about all aspects of Romania. This day is such great value for money. It's been the best introduction to Cluj and the surrounding mountains. Don't hesitate, just book it, you won't be disappointed!!!!

Every part of this day-trip was perfect. Tudor is a great guide and host, providing memorable experiences while also sharing knowledge of Transylvania, Romanian history along the way. I did the Curly Tour - Day Trip from Cluj and enjoyed it so much that I booked the Curly Tour - Climbing Day after I got home. This review is about the Day Trip from Cluj -- The Salina Turda and its history need to be seen/heard to be appreciated. This place is massive, incredible ingenuity. Next, after riding the zip line just outside the gorge, Tudor gave me the option of a 5k or 9k hike in Cheile Turzii, exploring a cave and providing more history during the hike. Afterward, we visited beautiful Rimetea and got a delicious traditional lunch in a nearby village with a great view of the valley. While eating, Tudor provided another wonderful history lesson. On the way home, we visited a hand-painted Monastery. I'd love to experience this trip in fall/winter too. Book this trip and you won't regret it!

Our tour from Curly Tours was unforgetable. In only 1 day we had so many great exeperiences. Each stop on the tour is great, the salt mine is so interesting and our guide was able to tell us all about the history. The walk along the ravine had breathtaking views. We stopped in a small village for lunch and ate some tasty Romanian foods, then our last stop was a small monestary with amazing frescos. I highly reccomend the tour to anyone who wants an experience that's not availalbe to most tourists.

I had a great time on this day trip! All of the stops were fun - the Turda Salt Mine, the Turda Gorge and Rimetea village. We were a small group and Tudor, our guide, was really kind and knowledgeable about the area. If you are looking for an authentic way to explore an area near Cluj I would highly recommend this trip!
