Dilser and Norte Expedition were subcontracted by our tour company to look after the two of us for 4 days in N Peru, seeing us to and from airport/buses, and taking us to sites in and around Chiclayo and Trujillo. Dilser was an excellent, knowledgeable English-speaking guide (who knew everyone!), prompt and reliable as well as flexible and good humoured. We really appreciated his contribution to our great 3 weeks in Peru and for opening our eyes to the pre-Incan civilisations in the north. We definitely recommend his services!

We spent the day with Dilser, who gave a very detailed and interesting walk through of La Huaca de La Luna y Sol, and Chan Chan. The size and level of detail of these sites is amazing, but we learned so much from Dilser that it was most definitely worth hiring a guide. Would highly recommend.

Despite it being the off-season, he was extremely dedicated and enthusiastic throughout the entire trip. His 13 years of experience truly showed as he provided high-quality, detailed information about the site, sharing many interesting and insightful details. The entire tour was filled with friendship, joy, trust, and knowledge. Highly recommend!

I contacted and arranged for two full day tours with North Expedition in Trujillo. Communication was always prompt and clear, with tours easily arranged and flexible when having to change dates. Pick-up was on time and transport very comfortable. The tours were very well organised with plenty of time at the sites with excellent knowledge shared. Also helped to arrange tours for me in Chiclayo and Chachapoyas which was very much appreciated and also of a very high standard. Highly recommend this tour agency for your tours in Trujillo!

Excellent and interesting tour to the surroundings of Trujillo. I was very happy with the guide that explained very well all the details, from the paintings to the ancient buildings. All in all a great daytrip to/from Huanchaco.

Highly recommend choosing Norte Expedition for your tour guide. I was with Dilser for a full day tour in English - he is incredibly knowledgable and answers your questions with a lot of passion and detail. One of my favourite tours I’ve done in South America! They were also super helpful in finding availability for me.

While on a cruise, a group of 8 of us booked a private tour with Norte Expedition in Salaverry, Peru. Instead of booking through the cruise line Dilser gave us a fantastic tour of Huanca del Luna and del Sol and Chan Chan archeological sites. Dilser did an excellent job of explaining the ruins and guiding the tour. We got much more value for the money than if we had booked through the cruise line. I highly recommend Dilser if you have a stop in Salaverry.

We wanted to go sandboarding and our tour guide brought to an amazing spot for it and was so informative during our journey from huachoco to the dunes!

Dilser Alfaro Oliva is an excellent & professional licensed guide with very good English skills. If you want more than a taxi driver, this is your man. Fantastic day spent with Dilser!!! Dilser has excellent English skills and completely helped us understand everything that we had questions about. Visited Temple of the Moon, lunch in Trujillo, followed by Chan Chan. Not once during the day did we feel rushed or like we were asking too many questions. I can’t emphasize the quality of this tour - his patience with our questions, knowledge of the historical and archeological processes involved, as well as his local expertise far surpass many other tours we have been on. At times, we felt like we were with a celebrity - he is well known and locals always smile when he comes around.
