Do not miss the tour with them!
We went with 28 friends for a Tour on May 12. We rented a luxury boat. The team was amazing: Sohel tour guide ,Juhail Captain , Anwar and Raju. They went beyond the call of duty to make our cruise the best one. The team who prepared our trip was very flexible and did everything to make us happy. Highly recommended

It exceeded expectations, just us on the boat and caring guide and boat staff. They did a great job with spotting dolphins

Fantastic 1-day Dhow Cruise and Mountain Safari
The 1-day Dhow Cruise was so good, and Miss Fatma's customer support is fantastic, which made us decide to take another tour with them (Mountain Safari), and that was another wonderful experience. Miss Fatma supported us all the way, guiding us and patiently answering all our queries. And they didn't fail to deliver. We were elated by the dolphins in the wild, and there was an abundance of good food, fruits, and drinks on the boat. The fjords mesmerised us and made us think to go to Norway to experience another fjords cruising experience. Up on the mountains on our second day, we were again awestruck by the beauty of Musandam, this time at the Jebel Harim and its surroundings. Our guide and driver Mr. Joy Amunthirathu showed us everything we needed to see and took several photos and videos of my wife and myself along the way. He's an awesome guide and photographer! 😀 I will not hesitate to recommend them for their tours and services because of their professionalism. You'll get back your money's worth for sure.

        Must-do
Fantastic trip. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel, which had arranged the trip for us, cost was 15 Rials per person for a half-day cruise on a traditional dhow. We had to pass through a number of other shows to get to our one but this was easy, even for a scaredy-cat like me. Show was very clean (including the western-style toilet) with thick carpets and lots of cushions. The crew, Sohail and Raju (apologies if spelled incorrectly), were friendly and so helpful. Lots of soft drinks and fruit provided. The cruise itself was so beautiful and we saw lots of dolphins (Sohail speaks fluent dolphin) plus beautiful fish near Telegraph Island. No one wanted to swim (only 6 of us on board) but am sure we could have done. All in all, a thoroughly good trip.

        Good experience
Price wise this was the best deal we could get as opposed to the other tour companies . We took half day tour and did see some dolphins, colored fish etc . They served us cold drinks , tea, coffee, water and fruits for refreshment. I just feel that the tour is a bit too long and some where in the middle of it you feel like the boat is endlessly going and going without much to see . Also as it’s low tide these days, we didn’t get to stop at the telegraph island . But to be honest this is the only acitivity you could do in Musandam so no regrets . Staff on board was really sweet.

Sadly do not book this company
We booked a full day tour and beach camping trip back in August for a October trip. It’s not all bad but it’s not a great review of this tour company so I would search and go with other tour companies than Dhow Khasab Tours. The overall trip was good - perfect boat trip saw dolphins, snorkelling etc. but the staff on board did not tell us anything. They were polite and lovely chaps but there was no explanation or itinerary of where we were going, what we would see etc. they just drove the boat around to the places I guess they are told. Lunch was basic and nice. Thankfully I took alot of extra snacks for my kids. When it came to the beach camping drop off they seemed to forget and took us back to port. A speed boat then collected us and we arrived 10mins later at what I can only describe as a rubbish tip and random beach. A fishing dumping ground! With two tents and a table + lighting that was broken. We then helped the staff (who again where lovely and apologetic) clean the beach of plastic, glass and dead fish. I almost asked them to take us back to land but it was dark and we had no where booked to stay. It turns out we were the first customers of season…. We booked in August so why they where not ready for us is a shock. Anyway we ate some again basic but ok food - no bbq, no music, no badminton, no kayak etc like the description says. We ate and went to bed. Breakfast was ok and we returned by speed boat by 8am. All in all it was a great day/night but totally disorganised and at times we had no idea what was going on. Some very simple improvements could make this tour company great but I would not book with them again sadly. I think the staff who looked after us were wonderful but left in a very poor and unacceptable position by the management.

        Khasab Tour
You need good weather to enjoy Khasab for 2 days max. Highlights are drive up Jabal Harim and boat tour of the fiords and tour of the fort. We spent a night sleeping on deck of a Dhow under full moon and an early morning swn around the dhow before breakfast. The local were very friendly The corals are in poor shape. Warning flights to and out of Khasab can be cancelled at short notice due to cloudy weather and you may be stuck there for severakl days. Amore reliable way is a drive from UAE usi ng a hire car but you need a 4WD to go up Jabal Harim.

        Breathtaking views and experience
Amazing experience . My wife and our 4 year old booked the overnight dhow cruise and it was wonderful experience. Boat: equipped with toilet , sink shower and large deck for seating . Very clean . Large plate of fruits is available throughout the trip . Lunch , bbq dinner and breakfast were provided , the variety was nice and vegetarian option available . The sceneries are breathtaking and plenty of dolphins who come close and follow the boat while cruising. Fishing is available as well, u can catch ur fish and the amazing crew will grill it for u at night . At night they have mattresses ( sealed and came out fro cleaning ) and they give u warm blankets , they were as well clean and smell refreshing . And the beat part was the sunrise , the colors in the sky, the sound of waves , the clean air and tranquility were out of this world . Will definitely do it again . The skippers Mohamad billal and his colleague were amazing , truly eager to make ur experience memorable and very friendly ppl too.

Afternoon mountain safari tour, after morning dhow cruise
Great way to visit the mountain tracks of Musandam. Fantastic rocky landscape combined with great views. After the morning dhow cruise our guide arranged a place for some lunch. The 4x4 track was an adventure, leading to a bedouin valley and to Jebel Harim. Back on the tarmac we climbed again to the view over the gulf of Oman, Khor Najd. Friendly guide/driver and nice combination as a one day adventure into Musandam ( we stayed in Ras al Khaimah and drive to Khasab).

        Dolphins and lovely nature views
Such a lovely and comfortable tour, even worked really well with a baby and we saw many many dolphins. The one downside I guess is that I thought the snorkelling bit would be better, the water had poor visibility. However, overall quite a nice tour and the dolphins alone made it well worth it.

        Dolphin watching
The dhow boat is beautiful. It was a bit shaky to get on but when you got your sea legs it was great. The tour through the fjords was magnificent it’s an awesome experience. We stoped at a cove and the dolphins stared to follow the boat it was brilliant. It’s hard to set a photo of the dolphins as the guide was keeping an eye on the water and letting us know when they surfaced. It was great. Lovely 1/2 day tour.

First class dolphin watching and great snorkelling in stunning scenery
We took a half day tour from Dhow Khasab Tours and had a lovely day. The boat was comfortable with the option of sunny or shaded areas and it wasn't too crowded. The scenery was well worth the visit and the dolphin watching was world class with plenty of good sightings. I wasn't expecting the snorkelling to be as good as it was but there were tons of interesting fish to see. I'd also like to thank the staff for helping my elderly father so kindly. My only two criticisms are that I could see no indication that the snorkelling equipment was disinfected or washed between guests and I am worried about the number of anchors being dropped on the reef areas for snorkelling. I understand that in developing tourist areas you can't expect regulatory processes to be perfect, but I would like to see some evidence of environmental protection policies being agreed and implemented in order to protect the fish and the dolphins in the long term.

        Unsafe! - Risk to Life!
I took the dhow tour, having booked it through my crusie ship. It was super half day cruise with about 60 onboard, friendly staff, free snacks and drinks, beautiful scenery, lots of dolphins and a lovely swim. Great! However, I have given it a bad review, because the trip was not safe! I know a lot about charter boats and could not find any approved safety equipment onboard. There was no safety brief from the crew and I looked everywhere on deck and in the accessible cabins but there was no liferaft or proper lifejckets anywhere onboard. The sides of the dhow did not have railings and a small toddler nearly fell overboard. I could see a radio but no handset or aerial and no spare. No chartplotter, AIS or even a compass. The only visible safety gear was an old fire extinguisher that was fixed to a post by gaffer tape! I don't know if there were any flares, but doubt it. All the other dhows were the same and had no visible safety gear. Quite frankly I was appalled by what appears to be an industry wide totally ignorant approach to safety....If these vessels caught fire or sank, people could die! The cruise ships should not be promoting them as they do not reach even the most basic safety standards, let alone SOLAS as implemented by the UN.

        Excellent all round
What a marvellous boat trip! Good value for money, crew friendly. The boat was spacious. We were given a bottle of cold water, fruits and coffee. Beautiful scenery and crew tried to spot dolphins, and indeed they did with success! Dolphin family were swimming along our boat for more than 5 minutes, spectacular experience! At the Telegraph Island, we had an opportunity to snorkel around the island. Snorkeling gear was provided. We fully recommend this boat tour company to everyone.

We booked this excursion through the cruise line. This was the most relaxing day out on the water, with views of the mountains that are breath taking. They offered beverages and fresh fruit to snack on during the cruise. Stay alert as dolphins are likely to show up and play around the boat. We had about 45 minutes to take a dip in the water. Our excursion stated that the water currents can be strong but they were very calm the day we went.

My friends and I booked this trip only the day before and I was very impressed with how quickly Muhammad Iqbal responded to both my email and what's app messages. He provided easy and clear communication. We were picked up at our hotel at 9.30 and driven to the boat. We had a really fabulous day out. Even though it was the end of August, we didn't find it too hot as there was nice wind. We saw dolphins both on our way out and back, did some great snorkeling with so many fish and had a very delicious chicken and rice lunch on the boat. The boat crew were very friendly and ensured we had a great time. I would highly recommend the full day dhow cruise and this company.

Arranged for a dhow tour to the fjords to see the dolphins, directly with Muhammad prior to leaving UK and arriving on a cruise ship into Khasab. We were met beside the ship (at the port gate) exactly as promised and taken to a larger than average dhow which meant plenty of space to sit and wander about.
The scenery was truly spectacular and worth the price of the trip. However we saw a lot of dolphins in the main fjord which obviously made the trip. Our dhow pilot seemed to be very respectful of the dolphins as they went about their feeding, unlike one or two of the other dhows. Instead of approaching a group of dolphins slowly so that everyone could enjoy them, their tactic seemed to be to race at high speed straight through the middle of the group and then turn round to come back for a closer look. They'd obviously gone by then!
I'm sure the dolphins are used to this but it was unnecessary. However, that was NOT what our dhow did and we all felt on our boat that this particular company has the right approach and obviously tried to maximise the enjoyment of their customers.
Fruit, water, soft drinks were all freely available and brief stop was made on the way back for those who wanted to swim.
All in all, an excellent trip and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company.

This tour was very well organised and Muhammad contacted us to confirm our pickup time from our hotel. We were picked up in a minibus and joined 8 others. The border crossing was straight forward and they didn't even stamp our passports.

On board the boat, we joined other groups - around 30 of us in total but the boat could fit 3 times that amount. The team on board were excellent and provided cold water and soft drinks on a regular basis. We had two snorkelling sessions which were both great seeing giant rays and huge parrot fish. The lunch buffet was also excellent. I would definitely recommend you go on this tour.

I e-mailed a number of operators for help with our trip to Khasab. The only one who understood what I wanted was Muhammad Iqbal of Dhow Khasab Tours. He arranged our pick up at Khasab airport and transport to the hotel, half day drive up Jebel Al Harim, full day dhow cuise and road transport to Dubai. His representatives were always reliable and on time and the tours were excellent. We greatly enjoyed the drive up the mountain (Jebel Harim) and especially the dhow cruise - seeing dolphins, jelly fish and swimming in the lovely blue sea. What a great experience!

We visited Khasab on a cruise and booked this trip at the port exit with locals for about half the price charged by the cruise company. We were driven to where we picked up the comfortable dhow and enjoyed refreshments aboard, great scenery, chasing dolphins and a swim off the boat. Most enjoyable.
