Chucky is a 4th generation islander, and a 2nd generation taxi driver. Hands down the best taxi experience I’ve had anywhere. Over this week I’ve learned about the beautiful mentality of the Mauritian people, and Chucky is the absolute embodiment of this. He drove us from our hotel to the hiking trial head very safely and securely, and kept us entertained on the way. All for a more than honest price. I could not recommend this taxi enough in 10 reviews. Look no further than here.

Chucky Taxi Mauritius. I contacted Chucky via Watsap following so many positive reviews. Communication was superb. He arranged taxis to and from the airport for us, much cheaper than the hotel offered. We also went on a South Island tour and Ruben was our outstanding guide. We had an excellent and fun day I would highly recommend. Lastly, we arranged for day hire to take us to the West Coast for a boat trip and return back to our hotel. Overall Chuckys service is professional, prompt, courteous and so much cheaper than I found elsewhere And his prompt communication throughout via Watsap was very reassuring. I would not hesitate to recommend this professional team.

Great day out to visit the South of the island! Got to see all the places we wanted with plenty of time at each stop. Our driver Adesh was really knowledgeable, friendly and all around great guide!

We did the North Taxi trip and also the South. The South was more of a disappointment. We did not go to all these places listed on the itenarary. We did go to La Vallee des Couleurs which is quite average and expensive. We went to some ship factory which was ok and then some small shop that had Rum and Cashmere for sale and the Shop people were really pushy trying to get us to buy things. We went to Alexander Waterfall which was nice but again that was not as per listed Itinerary (which says its Chamarel Waterfalls). We did not go to the Rhumerie de Chamarel either, so I feel like this isn't quite how its advertised. The photos you see here as well are literally from La Vallees de Couleurs. They have Zip lines and Quad bikes (just on a normal walking path is where you quad bike). The cost was approximately $650 Australian dollars for the 2 of us, and we managed to avoid that cost as you can actually enter the park and walk around it (it's about a 1 - 1.5 hour round trip so it's not even huge). I wouldn't recommend the South island Taxi tour, you are better off just hiring a car and doing your own trip (it's really easy to get around in Mauritius if you have a car).

We booked a South tour and Chucky was our driver. A really kind and knowledgeable man. He made sure we were comfortable throughout our day with him. He even called a friend and got us a better deal for a dolphins and snorkeling trip. After how well he looked after us, we then booked him or the airport trip back. If you want any tour done in comfort and professionalism, book direct with Chucky. Better price and well looked after.

Brilliant day out with Chucky ! He was engaging, knowledgeable and fun to be with. We were able to create our own itinerary and take things at our own pace, and he recommended a super lunch place along the way. Don’t hesitate to book Chucky - highly recommended (and a great driver! ).

Everything was smooth and Chucky is a great driver. Buy tickets for entrance and activities online to avoid the queue and plan at minimum 5 hours in the park if you booked special activities with the big cats.

Chucky was an excellent tour guide: extremely reliable, discrete, on time and with nice, clean car. He’s a local’s local - knows all the best roads and places to stop. An excellent driver and superb tour guide - he tailor made the agenda for us and made it a fun and memorable day, with lots of insights on local culture along with some amazing sights. If only we had more time in Mauritius we would do the North tour as well. Thank you Chucky - that was awesome fun!!

From the first encounter to the end of Journey Chucky was the most pleasant and professional guide and driver. He went above and beyond to show us around and help with anything we needed. His knowledge of the island is fantastic p there is a variety of places he can take you to explore. But this tour was most definitely worth it and foe the price it's a no brainer. The rum tasting wax fantastic. The 23 coloured earth is like no other place you will ever see or experience definitely a must to go and see and enjoy. There was plenty of activities like zip lining, quad biking, seeing waterfalls and acres of a beautiful forest. Would do this tour all over again

My wife and I recently explored Mauritius' south with Chucky's Taxi, and we absolutely loved it! Chucky was warm and accommodating from the get-go, and his immaculate and comfortable taxi made our journey even more enjoyable. Not all roads in Mauritius are suited for the faint hearted of drivers, but thanks to our skillful driver, we felt in expert hands throughout the day. We had our own rental car, but opted to give ourselves a break and chose this personal tour as a stress-free alternative with a knowledgeable local as our guide—and we didn't regret it. The itinerary featured all the must-see sites but left enough room to make adjustments to suit our interests. We'd choose Chucky again in a heartbeat!
