It was a really great and informative tour! Our tour guide Beatrice is very passionate and knowledgeable. I learn super a lot from the intensity of the culture mix and history of Penang heritage! It’s a tour truly wothwhile!

A great introduction to the huge variety of food available in Penang from different nationalities and cultures combined with a walk through parts of the UNESCO listed George Town with the opportunity to learn a bit of local history and customs. Beatrice was an excellent host and guide, ensuring that no-one left any of the stops wanting more and the 3 hours flew by. We were a couple but would be great for families with school age kids. Even fussy eaters would find something to enjoy.

Spent the day with Eng our assigned Tour Guide. Was a great day, money well spent as we would not have got to all the places we visited in one day. Was great that it was flexible as we had already spent 1 whole day in Penang and had been to a few sights of interest, so we chose the places we couldn't get to by vehicle and walked to the ones ourselves that were close by. Highlight was Penang Hill. We caught the funicular which was a quick and exhilarating ride up and down. Eng suggested we pay a bit extra to get to the front of the queue which was great advice as there were queues of people waiting which I suspect would have been for quite some time. Eng was very knowledgeable on all aspects of Penang, history, political system etc etc whatever, he had answers to everything so hence we learnt a lot about Malaysia. Definitely recommend this package

This is an excellent tour. With James you’ll leave with much more than a full belly - this tour a wonderful mix of local food, history and culture delivered with much humour and entertaining stories from James. Don’t eat lunch!

Eng was amazing in terms of knowledge, making it fun, and being flexible. He got us in the fast line when too many people were waiting at key sites, which helped us save time for other places. His car was very comfortable, with first class and business class seating :-) A great day out for the whole group.

We had an excellent food tour with Janes. He was really knowledgeable and friendly, proving samples of most of main Penang food highlights. We definitely left feeling full. Added bonus was additional history of Penang as we walked the streets. Definitely recommend and do as soon as you arrive, Janes gave us other tips / recommendations for next few days. George Town definitely lived up to its foodue reputation 😋

Our guide, Jeffrey, was very friendly and knowledgeable, and also patient when we took a while in the batik factory! We saw old things and new things, historical and natural features of Penang. He was ready with a wealth of stories about the places we visited. Highly recommended.

This was a fantastic food tour and James made the whole experience fun and informative. There was so much amazing food along the route that it was hard to pace myself. James was happy to adapt the course to cater to our wishes which made it feel far more personal than other food tours I have been on. He even gave me an additional street art tour at the end which was most gratefully received.

My first time in Penang and CE, my tour guide was very friendly and I learned a lot from her. I particularly love the Penang hill, the street arts as well as the Kek Lol Si and green mansion. It was a relaxing and fund day with CE.

The tour was perfect. Four hours worked well with a little one and the flexibility to do the things we were most interested in with suggestions from our guide was perfect. Having someone who is extremely knowledgeable about the area and the places we visited was great. Plus we were treated to some surprise local goodies along the way.

We had a very exiting day full of decent views and places with Lester our guide. He was very nice and gave us so many informations and insights to all the places we visited. At the end of the day he sent us a link to all the pictures and movies he made of us at the stops. Great memories to watch and to show back home. We asked for a food recommendation for dinner. So he took us to a Hoka Food Market with some of the best local food, we had so far.

Marvelous tour with James today. LOTS of food. Perfectly curated with plenty of cultural tidbits. James tailored the tour for us (I’m gluten free/light) and was able to eat almost all the food. The best part is tasting foods you maybe wouldn’t know to order or perhaps wouldn’t dare. Highly recommended

King was a wonderful host! He is very knowledgeable about the food, city, and history. We learned a lot about the culture and foods. Everything was DELICIOUS! We would recommend this tour for everyone!

This was a tour for myself and my wife. Our guide Josh contacted us 24 hours before the tour. He arrived 15 minutes early at 9.45am but told us to take our time in joining him. He had a lovely spacious new air conditioned car for the two of us. We had a great day visiting many sites and Josh was very helpful in agreeing the itinerary. He took us to one of the local restaurants he goes to for lunch - we were the only westerners there. Good food and drinks were less than £4 a person. He dropped us back at our hotel at 6.15pm after a memorable day and he WhatsApp’d us the photos he’d taken of the two of us at various locations during the day. Can’t really fault the tour or his service. We’ll done Josh!
