- Trail179143736310 contributionsThank you MaysiWe had a fantastic experience. Maysi was a very knowledgeable tour guide and presented the information in a fun and engaging way. The company seems very environmentally ethical and we liked that they don’t feed the animals. The driver was excellent which meant we felt safe and could enjoy all the amazing flora and faunaWritten December 5, 2024
- Seaside306581240240 contributionsKingfishering in LangkawiAs a life-long bird liker but quite recent birding hobbyist, this tour was exactly what we were looking for. We really wanted to see some kingfishers and ended up seeing three different species of them. On top of the kingfishers, we saw tens of different birds. Afie as a guide was absolutely lovely and knowledgeable. If we ever come back to Langkawi we will definitely do some more JungleWalla tours (and hopefully with Afie as our guide).Written November 30, 2024
- Sightseer461512365280 contributionsAwesome boat safari at LangkawiThis eco tour is filled with loads of great views along with informed guide.Understood a lot about mangroove and it's habitat. Company practices sustainable tourism and I truly appreciate their cause. Eg. Not feeding Kites and monkey A must do experience at Langkawi.Written November 29, 2024
- 357shashanks0 contributionsA serene way to cap off our trip.We had a great experience sighting birds on our final day in Langkawi with Junglewalla. Our guide Afie was very welcoming and knowledgeable. She took us to the best spots on the island for mangrove and rainforest bird watching and we spotted over 20 species in 4 hours. We saw all three species of the famous hornbills in a single location and Afie deserves special credit for bringing us there. Junglewalla team's pick up and drop service + accessories (binoculars) were very good too. I would recommend this to any nature lover who visits Langkawi for a relaxing time in nature. My wife and I enjoyed this experience tremendously.Written November 22, 2024
- Mobile528430121280 contributionsGreat tour and no animal feeding! We went to the UNESCO geoforest tour and it was well planned trip! Our guide Masyi told us lots of interesting information about the mangrove trees, the ecosystem and the problems with animal feeding. We were happy to book a tour that did not do the animal feeding. It was a nice small group and we got to see snakes, lizards, crabs, eagles, monkeys and walking fish!Written November 22, 2024

- jonielandt0 contributionsAn eco-friendly way of visiting and learning about the mangrovesWe did the mangrove kayaking and swimming tour with Shafwan as our guide. He was a very knowledgeable guide who explained us a lot about the local flora and fauna, as well as the mangroves and the importance for the ecosystem. Jungle Walla really cares about the environment and the impacts on the ecosystems and wildlife. We learned a lot during the tour. The tour was completely separate from all other kayaking/boating tours. During our almost four hours on the water, we did not see any other boats or tourists. This made the experience super unique. Overall we had a wonderful time during this kayaking/swimming tour. Also the food during the lunch was absolutely delicious.Written November 14, 2024
- hooisanc0 contributionsA great experienceI was an amazing tour! The tour guide Cik Afiqah is very experience and very knowledgeable about the wildlife and mangrove. We have learn a lot from her. We managed to see eagles, monkeys and snake during the trip. And we are very lucky that we saw a school of dolphins, they were swimming and jumping just beside our boat. Definitely this was not a everyday scene! What a great experience.Written November 3, 2024
- Cruiser4646000 contributionsA wonderful experience the UNESCO geopark Mangrove tour with AfieWe did the mangrove tour with our guide Afie en captain Me. Wow, it was a great experience, we see many birds, fish and the sea eagles and kite’s! On the way back at sea we were with our boat in the middle of approx 30 dolphins. This was a wonderfull highlight of this tour. Afie is a very experience guide and it is good to see that also in Malaysia they take care about the earth and improve the eco system and the biodiversity👌 Thank you very much Afie and captain Me!!!!Written November 1, 2024

Afie was an amazing guide who knew where all the birds were and how to identify them. Very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. We even got to see both the oriental pied and great hornbills. Had some amazing views. Could not recommend a better than this if you are visiting Langkawi. Saw so many birds, and even monkeys, and a black giant squirrel, and other creatures.Written October 27, 2024

Not only was she extremely amiable, she helped spot a number of birds for us and was able to communicate clearly where the birds were (this is important!). We were delighted to see a wonderful flock of giant hornbills with her! There is nothing like experiencing something special with a nature guide who truly loves what they do.Written October 24, 2024
- Global650948586340 contributionsMarvelling at God's creation thru the Geopatk Mangrove River Cruise. The transfers was punctual and the vehicle clean. The guide, Ms Afi was very patient and knowledgeable in walking us thru the mangrove river cruise. Her passion to maintain the ecosystems of the Geopark was evident both in her explanation and actions - why the animals should not be fed by external sources, why some leaves of mangrove trees are yellow etc. We have learnt much from her. We highly recommend this cruise for both young and oldWritten October 23, 2024

If you wish to learn more about Langkawi’s rainforests, this is the walk for you. Our guide Shafwan was, in addition to being friendly and helpful, extremely knowledgeable. We learnt a great deal about rainforest trees and plant life from him. He’s a true nature lover who enjoys jungle trekking and exploring and we enjoyed hearing his stories. He has given us a deeper appreciation of rainforests and that is exactly what you want from a walk like this. Absolutely highly recommended.

The Rainforest Walk took about two hours and was led by Shafwan, our very well informed and helpful guide. Shafwan told us a lot about trees, animals, birds, insects, and more, and stopped regularly to point out items of interest and to explain what we were seeing. He helped us to have some sense of the complexity of the rainforest. The walk is not very strenuous but you do need to be reasonably fit. This was an excellent experience. Enjoyable and informative and I recommend it in the strongest terms.

We went with our two daughters, aged 5 and 7, on the night time wildlife tour. We set off around 530 up the mountain stopping to see some interesting wildlife and learn some facts about the local area. Our guide Afie was knowledgeable and articulate and great at spotting birds. It was very relaxed, and the children had a great time too. The walking part in the dark was a highlight as we saw a flying squirrel glide from tree to tree. We also spotted a toad. Fantastic experience thank you xx

We did the morning jungle trek and it was fantastic! The walk was steep, but not hard to do. It certainly is a jungle trek - you walk deep in the lush forest. The guides were amazing! They had so much information on the plants & pointed out lots of wildlife - which we adore! We spotted a rare mouse deer and it got very close to us! We even saw a giant black squirrel which is again not a common animal to see! We also saw lots of birds, lizards & insects. I would certainly recommend it!
We got picked up at 8am on the dot and we were back at our hotel in Cenang by 11:30 so we had plenty of time to fit another activity in for the day! Great job!! A trip highlight for sure 😊😊

Sabah has 55 years of experience living in Langkawi’s jungles. He shared many experiences as we identified different trees and plants. We also learnt how they are used and if poisonous what the antedate could be. The walk does require a little fitness.
Our trip was on a cloudy day so there was limited wildlife. However learning the uses of the trees was great.
Thanks Sabah

This is a relatively easy morning walk under dense rainforest canopy. Sabah is a wonderful guide. He enjoys sharing his knowledge of the plants and animals. He points out ecology and adaptation in action. Recommended!

Totally stunning hike to the top of second highest mountain on Langkawi Island. I signed up for Matchincang Trekking at my resort Datai Langkawi. My 2 guides Abdul Fuad Bin Ahmad and Heddy were meeting me at the bottom of this about 5 km trail. They were great knowledgable guides who made sure my trekking through the rainforest was very safe and rewarding in experience. Abdul introduced me to flora and fauna of the rainforest, he was showing me multiple plants trees, bushes describing their specific qualities. Heddy was amazing pointing out to multiple little creatures like insects, birds. At the same time they were making sure my trek is safe and gave me great tips how to hike ( esp at the last part where the trail became narrow and extremely steep). This hike is a steady ascent with last part being very steep.
It was incredibly amazing experience
Loving adventure- amazing hike- trekking through the Langkawi jungle to the 2nd highest mountain 850 meters high. Only 5 miles but incredibly challenging trek esp past U-turn sign( warning this trail is only for good fit hikers) where the trail gets soooo steep you have to find your foot stepping right on exposed labirynth of trees' roots, use ropes ( not always available) or hold on rocks bulldozers ( making sure you look before put the hand there, do not want to disturb a snake that may be hiding there) or holding on trees trunks to climb. My happiness comes from these incredible nature adventures, it is what I love so much. And the view from the top was Amazing! I am so glad I did this hike. It was one of highlights of my Asia's trip. I would highly recommend this activity and I would highly recommend to have Abdul Fuad Bin Ahmad and Heddy for your guides!

I'm very interested in your company's tours which emphasise real nature tours. I am coming to Langkawi alone and therefore I would like to participate in the tour alone. Are there any possibilities to arrange for the private tour, because your company provide mostly only regular tours for two more participants. I would like to participate in 4. October.
