This tour starts from your hotel lobby. We on a luxury VAN pick you up to head to Toyosu Fish Market where our master chef shows the fish procurement in the wholesale area, where only professionals visit to buy fishes and not open to public visitors.

We get the best ingredients for later sushi class there. After the Toyosu new market, our guide will lead you to the original site of the fish market: Tsukiji where old-good food stalls and lively shops are operating in atmosphere of lively food market to walk around to sense the difference of two different market. Then we on a luxury van head to our private Sushi Mafia Lab in the vicinity of Nakameguro. There with the private sushi master, you learn how to prepare fish, and fillet them into sushi pieces with advanced skills and the art of work.

Afterwards, make sushi together getting taught by the master, and savor it as brunch. The duration is 4 hours: 8 – 12 am, and finishes at the Sushi Mafia Lab unless arranged to be hotel drop off.

What to Expect
After pickup from your hotel, you’ll head to Tokyo’s well-known Tsukiji Fish Market to meet veteran chefs for an insider’s walk through the largest seafood market in the world. Learn about Japanese cuisine firsthand with a guided walk through the world-famous fish stalls, where you’ll hear about the history of the market and learn how to choose the best ingredients for your meal, depending on the season. After an informative shopping trip, you’ll head to a hands-on master class in sushi preparation, located in the heart of Tsukiji. Under the instruction of a bona fide sushi master, you’ll learn how to open and fillet the fish you’ve selected, using traditional techniques perfected in Japan’s top restaurants. Beginners are welcome, so you’ll enjoy in-depth demonstrations. After you’ve prepared your own delicious creations, the group will gather to sample their sushi. As you munch on fresh fish, you’ll also get a chance to enjoy a selection of sake, with anywhere from five to seven bottles available to taste. Your tour ends at Sushi Mafia Lab.

Excellent tour, lots of fun & wonderfully fresh food. Walk though the market was fascinating. Guides & chef were friendly, knowledgeable & professional. Sushi making was great fun. Sake tasting delicious. Terrific tour. Highly recommended.

Sushi mafia is a great way to get an insider view of the wholesale fish market. Being able to see the fish there and then make sushi from it is a great foodie experience!
