About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- W6291EGkellyw0 contributionsGreat Tour, Amazing English speaking driver, awesome scenery and sites!!!Rickshaw ride around Arashiyama with driver Shuji. We went on the Rickshaw ride with the best driver, he was very friendly and spoke with us the whole time, funny and entertaining with great English, also very fit and strong pulling us along in the heat and also running, it was a very humid day and also we had a bit if rain and Shuji transformed the carriage for wet weather and was mindful and considerate of everything involved in our Rickshaw tour, including us, other vehicles and other people. Also he is a great photographer, snapping some good shots for us. We got dropped off at the JR line at the station, we were walked right up to the entrance with an umbrella, and Shuji stood there and waved and waved and waved us off until we were out of site. We loved the rickshaw ride and I recommend it to everyone to do. Well worth every Yen!! A great and very special way to see the beautiful area of Arashiyama 😃😃Written August 29, 2024
- CyndiPoh0 contributionsPolite and knowledgeable rickshaw pullersYou may think these guys are training for the Olympics, they are all so young and cute. Amazing strength to pull two adults sitting on what already looks heavy to pull by itself. The puller knew the city well and would stop for intro and recommendations. The ticket stub can be kept for a complimentary ride during your Kyoto trip as there’s the same company there too, valid for 3 years!Written September 17, 2019

- PhuFahT0 contributionsWonderful memories in OtaruIf you feel tired from walking, try "ebisuya" service. At first we were thinking to take the cruise along the canal but "power boy" or "Mikuni" change our mind! He said it took him 30 mins for the same distance as if we could walk in 1 hour. And he can be our tour guide plus he can take photo and he can make memories!! Plus he can drop us off anywhere we want..so why not! We take 3 carts.. Our tour guides are "Mikuni, Matumura and Ito" they are amazing, funny and absolutely can make ur trip a wonderful memories!! Really recommended!!Written August 16, 2015

We did a 2 hour Rickshaw Tour Of Otaru with Ebisuya. This is our second Rickshaw Tour, first one was last year in Arashiyama in April during Sakura Blossoms. As with our first tour our guide, “Toshi” was amazing. We went around in Otaru in the snowy street and learned a lot about Otaru’s history and it’s buildings and scenic sites. We ended up with the best photos of our vacation, taken by Toshi. I brought a gift from San Francisco for our Rickshaw Guide, last time I had to force our guide to accept our tip. I brought a hoodie with San Francisco, CA logo and See’s Candy. I’m so glad I did because we really appreciate our guide. It was a beautiful sunny day with snowy slippery roads which made it harder for our Rickshaw Guide. Thank you Toshi for a wonderful trip.

My driver, Mr. Yama, was very knowledgeable in every aspect of Otaru. He gave me a great tour around the canal of Otaru, and provided several recommendations for restaurants which were all superb. He also took pictures of me on the rickshaw at many spots during the ride, using my camera. I generally stay away from typical tourist activities, especially in cities I'm familiar with. This ride well exceeded my expectation. Thank you for a great ride, Mr. Yama!

Our driver Kotaro took us on a 30 min rickshaw ride around Otaru and it was definitely one of the highlights on our trip in Hokkaido. . It was a cold and damp day with a little bit of rain in the starting of the ride. Kotaro took us around the city with enthusiasm and big smiles. He is informative, funny, and spoke clear English. He is a good tour guide and a good photographer as well - not just good but expert !. he took many great pictures for us during the trip. We really enjoyed the trip with him. Thank you Kotaro !

I had a great time there. and the driver(?) or rider TADA航太 brought me and my sister to many places with the history, and took lots of beautiful pictures. I'm looking forward to the next time to Otaru again.

I've lived in Japan for years, but while visiting Otaru with our family, my wife and I decided to tour around the old town area with the kids in jinrikishas. Our guide was Yama, and he is a very kind, cheerful, and knowledgable worker. I can easily give him the highest rating, and pass on my advice to other tourists to seek him out when you are in Otaru.
