About
- Having a guide makes your trip that much more interesting -
When you travel, it's fairly common for your trip to end with you just having gone to the spots you picked out. However, it's often the little spur-of-the-moment side trips that end up being the most memorable part of a journey.
TRIP SPICE's cycling event provides guests with the chance to make your trip extra special, as if you're spending time with a friend from the area.
Our guides will introduce you to the history of Matsue Castle, of course, but also tell you about other details of the city as you visit local shops, learn about the local cuisine, and enjoy unique local scenery.
If you like history and culture, please select the Basic Course.
You will visit Matsue Castle and the surrounding castle town, which will give you glimpses of how Japan looked 400 years ago.
You will also visit local shops and enjoy sightseeing in Matsue and cycling along Lake Shinji.
At the end of your tour, you'll get a chance to sample the tea and tea sweets food culture of Matsue as well.
If you want to sample traditional Japanese scenery, please select the Nature Course.
You will cycle from Matsue Castle to a rice paddy area, where you can speed down the paths between the fields.
The scenery is much like that of large wheat field, and this is only something you can experience on a bicycle.
Treat yourself to some goat milk gelato and enjoy your cycling adventure in Matsue's natural surroundings.
We will use E-Bikes on this course, so feel free to sign up even if you're not an experienced cyclist.
Enjoy an original tour of the city with your guide, and feel free to stop by any places that grab your interest!

I had the opportunity to experience two cycling tours.
The first was a course to experience Matsue's castle town and tea ceremony culture. Shogo-san, our cycling guide, took us through the scenery of Matsue, which has not changed in 400 years, is changing, and will probably never change. He also showed us some interesting sights of Matsue Castle. The last stop on the tour was Gesshoji Temple, which is a bit far from the center of the tourist area and was very calm, quiet, and relaxing.
The second course was to enjoy nature such as the rice fields, and it was very pleasant to ride a bicycle through the 360 degree view of rice fields. The view of Lake Shinji after passing through the rice fields was spectacular. We also had gelato at the Goat Cafe. After cycling, gelato is the best.
The bicycles we rented were very light and cute, even though they had electric assist. Thank you so much, Shogo-san, for being our guide! I'd love to know more about Matsue, so I will come back again!

Huber's guides and cycling guides are very enthusiastic and friendly.
This was not my first visit to the Matsue Castle. However, this cycling tour with a guided tour helped me learn more about the history. I really enjoyed this tour. We learned about the culture and history while touring. This should be the most significant difference between touring on your own and having a guided tour. One of the benefits of the cycling tour is the flexibility of the route. We can stop anywhere we are interested. We can better experience the life of the streets and the vitality of the city.

I am appreciate Huber's guides and cycling guides because they are responsible for their work and very kind and friendly to me. In this cycling tour, I am getting a better knowledge about the History of Matsue Castle, though I knew a little. It was good weather for cycling. We were cycling for half and two hours, passing through the Matsue Castle, rice land and shinjikou. During this route, I am all excited because I liking cycling outside and the bicycle offered by the company is very suitable for long-distance cycling. The only one shortage is that it was very cold due to the strong wind. We ate the delicious ice cream and played with the cute goats, which were very enjoyable for me. I am very glad to experience this cycling tour. I wish do cycling again in the summer because I saw the photo of the rice land in this season that are much more beautiful than this time.

E-bike cycling tour with Huber's guides was a great moment for me. The E-bike is filled with style & comfortness. Their hospitality, friendliness, and kindness made the tour even more lively. Touring with guides made me know better about the city. I got an in-depth understanding of the history of Matsue City. I would like to thank Matsue municipality, Huber. Inc & the guides for their generosity. At the same time, I also would like to recommend to the experience once if you have not.

The e-bike tour with Trip Spice was wonderful. Our guide was professional, knowledgeable and very willing to accommodate our pace. He gave us a lot of information about Matsue and cheerfully answered all our questions. The tour was fun and not too strenuous (we're not athletic). There were several stops along the way. During the tour we enjoyed a variety of experiences that covered history, culture, beautiful scenery and tea and sweets by the canal.
