Yayo shared a wealth of contemporary and traditional history knowledge including the Shogun and Samuri era when the Nakasendo Road was one of the main ways to travel between Kyoto and Edo. She had a great sense of humour and was always pointing out interesting things to see, not just explaining the obvious. I really enjoyed spending time with Yayo, walking part of, and learning about the Nakasendo Road. I highly recommend this tour.

Nagoya castle itself was very interesting, but Keiko san’s tour guide made it more special. I was able to learn about history and details about the castle. She was considerate enough to give special towel to protect me from hot weather and recommended me nice spots to take good pictures. I had a great day thanks to this tour!!

Yuki Ichikawa was an excellent tour guide! Her expertise in the culture and history of Inuyama was perfect for our needs. We explored Inuyama Castle, the Karakuri puppet museum, and the festival float museum. she took us to an adorable little dango shop as well as a local restaurant where we ate some fantastic Kishimen noodle soup. My wife and I highly recommend Tourism Designers, and especially Mrs. Ichikawa.

I enjoyed learning the history of Ise Jingu. It made the tour meaningful. My tour guide was knowledgeable and showed me all the things I wanted to see.

We really enjoyed the tour with Lily! She’s super kind and has a perfect English. Timing was smooth and we felt free to take all the pictures we wanted, stopped at shops, and hiking at our own time. Recommended 100%

Our 2.5 hour tour with Hiro was informative. We got to explore places we would normally have walked past and try treats (savoury and sweet).

Our favourite part was seeing all the beautiful things and the nature, also we had a great time enjoying the food here! Also Kudo Naoki was a very nice guide and he did a great job talking to us.

The tourism designers went out of their way to customize an advanced Shibori workshop for us. I am so impressed by all the work they did.

We had a private all day hiking experience from Magome to Tsumago with Makoto. The trip was amazing. Makoto is an very knowledgeable about the area, its history, culture and natural beauty. We would recommend this tour to anyone looking to discover historical rural Japan.

I am from Germany and had this tour with one other person from France. It was such a fun tour and we learned a lot about the culture and history of Nagoya. She explained really well and often made us laugh. You could perfectly understand her English and you could easily communicate with her. She often took pictures of us and in general it was just fun to talk to her. Would recommend it to anyone who is in Nagoya for the first time and wants to learn more about Japanese culture.

The mix between historical parts and cultural experiences was well done by the guide. She is pationnated and pationnating, she really adapts her explanations to all people, whether in English or in Japanese. In a nutshell, this tour is a must when you travel in this region. The tour was much more than we could have hoped for or expected. We have lived in Japan for almost 9 years and never knew about the places and sights that we were shown today. The history and tradition behind this tour is more than we could almost fathom. We literally walked on streets that were older than our own country. It was amazing. Our tour guide (Hiro) was very knowledgeable and fun. His English was great. Such a great experience all around.

I had a lovely time chatting about Japanese culture and learning origami. I made a cute little silver metal samurai hat, a washi paper crane, a ninja star (shiriken) and a boat. It was really interesting to hear the back stories to each piece.
