- danpr040 contributionsOne day in Zambia? This Tour is for You!Evans was an amazingly friendly, helpful, communicative, and informative guide. It is always a delight to have a guide who is passionate and proud to share their culture with you and with Evans, this was never in short supply. A first class experience as far as service was concerned. The sights were an excellent way to see the real Zambia if you only have a short time there. Amazing history, current culture, and where the country is heading can all be expected on this tour. We were grateful for this opportunity and recommend to anyone hoping to learn about Zambia!Written September 29, 2024

- Sightsee7658060 contributionsWonderful Cultural TourThis tour was excellent. The first stop was Mukuni Village where a local guide took us around the village and explained their history, way of life and customs. We also, were shown the insides of several of the huts people live in and watched someone who was making crafts from wood which they sell. At the end we strolled through the village market. I wish I had purchased more things there since there were many great hand crafted items to choose from and the prices were very reasonable. The sellers will negotiate the price with you so be prepared to haggle. My one regret is that I had nothing for the children of the village. I had bought coloring books and pencils for children but gave them all to a school we visited in Cape Town, South Africa. If you plan to visit Mukuni Village please take things the kids can use. The rest of our tour included visiting the Livingstone Museum where we were given a guided tour by one of the museum's guide. The tour was extensive and very informative. After that we were driven around Livingstone and our tour guide shared with us lots of information about the town. The final stop was a market where locals shop. It was great to get some insights about how locals live. Overall this was an excellent tour and well worth doing.Written July 24, 2024
- Regi S0 contributionsExcellent Victoria Falls (Zambian side)Fantastic tour of Victoria Falls. We were picked up and guided by Evans directly from our Livingstone accommodation. Evans gave us local knowledge, history, current events and lots of helpful contextualising commentary. We passed through the elephant corridor, had a comprehensive tour of the Falls, and then stopped for some handicraft perusing after. This tour was great for us- it was arranged very last minute and toured from Livingstone (Zambia) without border crossing while many other operators are unclear that they operate from the Zimbabwe side. Evans was open to being flexible with our interests as well, and recommended us a great evening tour experience as well.Written June 27, 2024
- 618emman0 contributionsGreat guided tour on the Zambian side of the FallsEvans was an exceptional guide. We booked last minute and he was organised, accomodating, flexible and knowledgeable. Victoria falls is absolutely stunning and we thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to anyone.Written June 27, 2024
- Stay101290416240 contributionsAmazing service to enjoy Victoria FallsThe service provided was really good. I had to travel from Lusaka to Livingstone, then from Livingstone to Zimbabwe and back. I explored Victoria Falls from both sides of Zambia and Zimbabwe as well as enjoyed a helicopter tour and the Zambezi river cruise. My guide Shepherd was just the best one can dream of: very kind, caring, respectful, humble, genuinely willing to make my trip unforgettable, and he succeeded in this. There were some hiccups on the side of the others and he took extra efforts for me not to miss anything and enjoy the experience fully. What a wonderful human he is. Many thanks to him. p.s. I still can't believe Shepherd full of energy, youthfulness and life is 47, he looks like a 28 year old man 😊😊😊😊😊Written February 12, 2024
- 614greens0 contributionsA must-do experienceAs an Asian and a first-timer in Africa, this is a must-do trip. I attended a workshop in Livingstone, Zambia and after the event, we decided to go on a game drive in Botswana. We looked for tour operators in Viator and decided on Royal African Experiences since they were the first to respond to our query and their listed quote in Facebook was cheaper. The tour was fascinating and informative. Questions on animals, plants, habitats, and even socio-economics were answered by the very articulate and knowledgeable guides (one on the Zambian and Botswana guides). They also guided us with Botswana immigration since we needed an entry visa for Botswana.Written February 10, 2024
- JoyceNorthBerwick0 contributionsHalf day trip to Mukuni village and Livingston. Our driver and guide Shepherd first took us to the local traditional village where we were shown round by an inhabitant. The tour finished at the craft market where the many vendors were vying for our custom. Buying is encouraged as it’s their source of income. Shepherd then drove us to Livingston. First stop the museum where we had a guided tour. It’s a bit tired but quite interesting and has a good section on David Livingston. Shepherd then gave us a tour of the town and market which was very interesting. He was great at answering our questions. Finally, back to our hotel. All in all, a very worthwhile experience and a great way to spend the afternoon.Written September 6, 2023
- Minksy990 contributionsAmazing tour of the beautiful fallsThe tour guide was great and very well prepared, he brought us rain coats and carried it for us until it was time to put it on. He was very engaging and we enjoyed the overall tour!!Written July 27, 2023
- Clintjamz0 contributionsA Bespoke Experience That Made Us Feel Connected And Secure With the Locals. This was a well tailored tour that gives visitors a good feel for life as the locals live it in Mukini Village where we went and around the larger city of Livingstone in Zambia. Evans, the driver/guide, was punctual in picking us up from our hotel. He was also patient enough to stop and allow us to take pictures at various places we pointed out along the way to the village. He was even kind enough to stop and take us off route onto another hotel grounds to take pictures of giraffes and zebras that roam the property located in a national park. He was well spoken and articulate as he gave us the history and background of Mukini Village, the local hamlet near Livingstone that we would be visiting first. When we got to the village the local guide was waiting for us. The local guide was very informative and took us on an extensive tour of the village where we met and chat with several villagers in their huts as well as craftsmen making artifacts for the local and tourists market. Next Evans took us on a tour of the city of Livingstone, which is much larger and commercial than Victoria Falls. Evans explained that Vic Falls was developed by the British Colonial powers as a holiday resort town; whereas Livingstone was founded as a commercial center of manufacturing and trade. Hence the difference in size and character of the 2 towns. We went on to visit the city center and its markets, the city hospital and the Livingstone Museum. We ended the tour with lunch at the kitchy Zambezi Cafe with its colorful African themed murals and its extensive menu of local and international foods. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who appreciate getting beyond the tourist traps and see life as it really is beyond the resort towns. Evans commanding calm and the cordon of confidence and security you feel while in his presence, makes this all possible without any unease. We enjoyed and appreciated the service of Evans and his company so much that we booked another tour with him to Victoria Falls from the Zambian side for the next day. Thank you again Evans for your kind hospitality🙏.Written February 26, 2023
- shalinic20230 contributionsAn experience of a lifetime! This was most certainly a trip of a lifetime. We were simply in awe of the breathtaking Victoria Falls. Zambia and it's wonderful people made a huge impression on us and we truly enjoyed our experience. Evans are wonderful guide at Royal African Experiences was an absolute professional who took care of every detail right through from all the bookings even before we arrived. So many cherished memories including a sunset cruise on the Zambezi, a visit to Mukuni Village, a walk with the mighty elephants in Zimbabwe and a spectacular heli flight over the amazing Victoria falls. The highlight of course was a very up close and personal encounter with 3 majestic White Rhino. We can't wait to visit beautiful Zambia again!Written January 29, 2023
