Young or old will definitely enjoy these bamboo boat rides.
Our bus sent 16 of us right near the riverbank where we got into 8 bamboo boats. The paddlers are very friendly especially the women. I was lucky to ride on a female boat that didn't rock & roll. They don't ask for tips , it's free will of the tourists. Like me I pity their hardwork so gave my female paddler RM. After the boat rides enjoyed very yummy coconut desserts.

          Hoi An town & cooking
Great day with Andy & his team as a shore excursion. Our guide was very knowledgeable. After a walking tour of Ancient Hoi An tour see the highlights we visited an organic farm away from tge tourist area where we cooked a dish & had a delicious lunch followed by an relaxing shoulder & foot massage. All in all a great day. We did however visit a touristy marble & embroidery showroom, which you could probably ask guide to skip if you are not interested.

The Magic of Woodloch never fades
Once again The Lodge at Woodloch exceeded my expectations. Each time I visit, I enjoy many NEW activities. I have been fortunate enough to have been to The Lodge nine times. I still do my favorites, and have done many new things that are now part of my favorites!!! From making decorative birdhouses, to picking produce from their farm and all the activities I did in between, they were all spectacular. You will not be bored. You will never be hungry. You too will want to book your next trip! Truly Woodloch is MAGICAL!

          IMPRESSIVE ANCIENT HINDU TEMPLE RUINS
A REALLY EDUCATIONAL TOUR AND ABOUT RUINS INFORMATIVE GUIDE, re Vietnam war you would think you WERE BEHIND THE IRON CURTAIN {AS I WAS IN THE 1970S} 70 YEARS OUT OF DATE, LAUGHTABLE SPIEL . Vietnam is a wonderful country to visit and its people the most friendly in Asia . Re the war he conviently forgot to mention that the North invaded the SOUTH , then the US got involved. Poor US stragedy to bomb the VC H Q there, ATTROTICIES ON BOTH SIDES , guide sounded like he was just released from 8 years of RE EDUCATION by the NORTH .

          Vietnams Disney land
This is essentially vietnams Disney land It was crowded , exceptionally busy and of no historical interest (despite suggesting there an old French village up there) It was built in 2018 ish , everything is new , there are theme park rides , lots of restaurants and empty buildings with the occasional show put on Our tour guide was lovely and well organised and if you have children and like this sort of thing then maybe you’ll enjoy it but we as two travelling adults really didn’t The only thing that was different and maybe worth the trip was to experience the cable car - this was long and you got to see the whole valley but I’d recommend you do this solo and not on a trip so you can leave rather than have to wait for the ref of the group

          Wonderful tour with Mr Ken!
The only thing more fascinating than My Son was our tour guide, Mr. Ken. He shared the most amazing personal stories & many historic facts about Vietnam, as well as a wonderful tour of My Son. We really enjoyed our time with Mr. Ken & our driver too. Pick-up was punctual & driver was very safe. The boat ride was also pleasant. Mr Ken also went out of his way to drive us through Marble Mountain on our way home. We are so happy we booked this tour. Thank you, Mr. Ken!!! You have a place in our hearts forever.

Mr Ken was a punctual and engaging guide! Very knowledgeable and always ready to share more about Vietnam’s history when asked. The car was very comfortable and had strong air-con, very important when it’s so hot outside. Our family of 4 enjoyed the tour very much. Thank you!

We had a very early start leaving our hotel in Hoi An at 5am and arrived at My Son by 6am. Gates open at 6:15am and then you get shuttle close to the temple area. A short walk of 300m and you can experience the beautiful temples.
Our guide Lam was very knowledgeable and happy to help take some photos for us.
There was only 8 other people looking at the temples this early so it was easy to get photos of all the temples without strangers in them. Apparently the normal morning tours that start at 8/9am are very crowded & you can’t get great photos.
The light at sunrise was still quite dark because the temples are in the bottom of a valley. The best light started to appear around 7:30 when we were leaving.
If photography is important for you make sure you stick around longer.

Fantastic tour. Pick up at 5am in Hoi An, interesting early morning drive to My Son. Mr Ken our guide was very helpful and had very good knowledge of the site.i learned so much about the history. Mr Ken is also a v good photographer and took photos of us both- great pics. Our return journey we had a very good history lesson about Vietnam. Very interesting journey. We loved it and I highly recommend.

My Son is definitely worth a visit. Though the temples are largely in ruins, you still get a good idea how great the complex must have looked when they were intact. It's quite the change to find such an old and serene place so close to Hoi An, whose charm is a result of much more recent history.

Doing the sunrise tour is a good idea, as it allows you to dodge most of the crowds. My guide was Mr. Ken, who spoke great English, was very knowledgeable about the place and Vietnamese history in general, and was able to point out all sorts of fascinating details.

There are some tours that you want to leave a review of even before the excursion is done. This is one of them. The tour operator called to confirm pickup the night before, they were on time, and Ken was one of the best guides on our whole trip.

He was incredibly knowledgeable and spoke from first-hand experience and his own extensive research.

Also, do the sunrise tour! We were the only ones at the site and the morning sun made our photos superb. Plus you get in and out before it gets too hot. As we were set to leave, a bunch of large coach buses pulled in. We were picked up in Danang at 5:30 and got back at 9 am.

For one day, you can wake up early (for us it was before 5am to leave at around 5.30am from Da Nang, I believe) to be able to have such a smooth, crowd-free experience of Vietnam's history. We were the first group walking around and only one other tour was there at the same time, but that is nothing compared to the masses that would've arrived a few hours later!
As someone mentioned, it does give you great pictures as well, especially if you had a guide, who was a former photographer like we did! I can't recall his name, but he was such a friendly and happy old man, who loved to share his great knowledge about the buildings and people that used to be and live there, and is open to any of your questions. It is quite a nice experience in itself and I would therefore highly recommend the sunrise tour to everyone wanting to visit My Son!

We had a good tour organizer, who had arranged a very experienced guide on the tour. He knows almost everything and was very kind enough to take very good shots that highlight the beauty of the site. The driver was a young guy, otherwise, drove well. Overall rating, excellent!
