About
My story has started since the year of 2016 when I decided to quit my job and moved to Hoi An to follow my dream since I was a child (to become a handicraft person). I started a new life quite hard by doing a lot of works for handicraft workshops here and I had studied many things during this time.
The year of 2018, I knew its the right time to stared doing something new, with the desire to share the knowledge and having a chance to meet friends come from all over the world who have the same hobby. My leather and bookbinding workshop was born. I hope it would be nice experience for everybody.

I learned so much about the art of drink making, about the bar itself, about the teacher teaching and got to take lots of notes and learn so many new things. Our waitress LAMNIE was very attentive and efficient. Night city view along the river is gorgeous. Live music was not bad. I think this activity is a must when visiting Ho Chi Minh City. Suggestion for improvement : * Security guard on the PORT need to be more hospitable to visitor especially visitor who has shown PAID ticket upon entering the area. * Song selection from live music must suitable with age of the audience.Written March 12, 2025

- drivingmissdaisy10 contributionsDo not use company they will let you down with an hours notice but take your moneyAn hour before pick up I was contacted by WhatsApp to say they had over booked but if I paid another £56 which was outside my budget we could still go. My only option was a peddle bike tour I’d booked mopeds for a reason. I went back to tour operators Viator who said they would get back to me in 72 hours. If you don't have a guide you won't understand anything, no where anything is written in English. Cave was dirty, not maintained well, inside the cave had horrible statutes with no explanations...marble mountain: again everything looked man-made and spoilt and UN maintained...nothing felt natural. We just left as soon as reached....wasted money and time. Da nang has a big problem of English ...locals don't even understand basic English words...who are dealing with tourists. Before the boat leaves, there is a simple, non-traditional dance show. We - and local guides - had huge difficulties to find our reservation, while there was no stall for this company. Come at least 40 min before the departure. The best of this tour was some nighttime pics of the town. I do not recommend joining.Written January 4, 2025

I booked this experience via Airbnb (not part of Da Nang Cooking tour). I was the only student and she was able to meet me in the afternoon instead of the morning option. I really enjoyed learning how to make a book from selecting the leather, the paper, the stitching, etc. Zen was patient with me and was really detailed on making sure my finished product was good - making adjustments and correcting any mistakes I had made. I loved my leather journal!
