We had a fantastic day learning to cook traditional Vietnamese food that we wanted to be able to enjoy once we got home. It was a great lively fun atmosphere.

This class was so much fun. We had Vi-nas as our teacher, and she was great. Very accessible for kids and the results were super impressive. We learnt so much from Vi-nas and the dumplings and pork we made were totally bussin. Thank you Vi-nas! This was a real highlight of our trip.

Vina is a wonderful host. She is a lot of fun and full of energy. We needed to have the menu adjusted as we cannot have sugar. This was no problem for vina and she accommodated this with ease. We cooked stuffed quid and beef bettel rolls. Absolutely delish and plentiful. Ho picked us up and took us for a market visit to buy some ingredients. This is a very personalised cooking class which we HIGHLY recommend. A most wonderful way to spend a morning. Thank you Vina for being a nana ing host.

My teenage daughter and I wanted to do a cooking class and initially picked Gioan because of air conditioning. The class turned out to be great. We enjoyed all 4 dishes and learned a lot. Vina made us laugh throughout the whole experience. We would highly recommend.

This was a great cooking class in Hoi An. It started with a seamless pickup from Da Nang, followed by a visit to the local market for some fresh ingredients. The cooking instructor, Han, was fantastic at guiding us through the preparation and cooking process. The venue was clean and the ingredients were fresh. The food was delicious and the recipes were easy to follow and replicate when we return home. I would highly recommend this activity.

Wow!! Simply the best! My family and I did Gioan’s cooking class today and had the best time. We were picked up at our hotel, provided a fun tour at the market where we shopped and explored. Finally, we cooked 4 dishes from start to finish including spring rolls, pork in a clay pot, fish wrapped in banana leaves and pho. Everything tasted delicious. Most importantly the amazing staff were friendly and funny. We laughed as much as we cooked. This is a must if you are in Hoi An. Fantastic activity to do with a family. Thank you to Happy!

This cooking class is excellent, very well run and entertaining. You can choose 4 from a long list of dishes that you want to cook on the day. Then you get to eat them.

This was for inexperienced cooks, the recipes were simple with ingredients that were not authentic. It was overpriced.

This is our 3rd time cooking with Hanh, the laughs never stop, the food absolutely gorgeous with so much flavour and so easy to follow. You choose from a list of dishes, and prepare and cook from start to finish. Flavours so amazing. Thank you so much ladies so good to see you again. We will be back.

The whole experience was amazing, from fast replies even though we booked late to the informative market trip and of course a wonderful homey cooking class! Chef Hanh was so welcoming and created a fun atmosphere! Was the perfect chill activity to do with friends and we will definitely be trying out the new recipes leaned! I have to say, having travelled now for 3 weeks in Vietnam I couldn’t wait to get back to Gioan Cocking Classes; having been there almost 8 years ago. With a group of 6 in our travelling party we fronted up to a private cooking class - and the fun began. After Mr Ho collected us and we visited the local market to gather ingredients for our cook we were then escorted to the kitchen. Chef Hanh and Chef ViNa are a talent that needs to be seen to be appreciated. They are both experts in their craft and they make everyone feel at home in the kitchen. It is a no pressure environment and most definitely a fun zone. If you want an experience of a life time cooking genuine Vietnamese cuisine ; just do it! We have done many cooking classes in Hoi An and Gioan is definitely the best. This was our second trip back to them. Chefs Hahn & Vina know their stuff and go out of their way to make you feel like family. It was such a fun experience, the girls are both such fun and full of personality! We booked a private class for 6 adults and cooked 4 dishes which were all packed with flavour. We also got recipe books to take home and Chef Hahn gave us heaps of tips for preparing and storing the sauces and pastes. Make sure you only have a very light breakfast as there is heaps of food to eat. This is now our go-to cooking class when we visit Hoi An and we highly recommend Gioan as so much more of an experience than just a cooking course! What an absolute blast! Had a great time with the chefs creating easy and delicious Vietnamese food! After taking a trip to the market we made 4 sensational dishes and spent hours laughing in stitches with the chefs! A great day, would 100% recommend!!

Amazing! This is our second time visiting chef Han and chef Vi na, and they didn’t disappoint! We cooked four fabulous dishes and they were delicious! The class was so much fun, and very easy to follow along!! great for all levels of skill and the chefs have a great sense of humor and make the experience so memorable! Best cooking class in Hoi An!! They also take you to the markets beforehand to buy all the ingredients! Loved every second!!

Fantastic fun and we learnt a lot too in a group of 20 friends. It's our second cooking class at Gioan (we were last there pre-COVID). We had even more fun than the first time - and our first timers loved it just as much. The teachers really tap into your sense of humour and learning style as a group, and teach you how to cook Vietnamese favourites at home - with ingredients available in most Western cities
