- Passenger7916960 contributionsHighly recommend!!!Wow! What an amazing experience for me and my family. We were picked up on time from our hotel in Old Town Hoí Ân and then we picked up (in a very organised fashion), additional participants on the way to meet up with our tour guide Trang. Trang spoke English very well and explained everything to all of us. We were the only family there as there were lots of couples in our group. Trang included my children and sparked up conversations with time. Highly recommend her if you are looking for an engaging guide. Trang walked us through the market and took her time to explain all of the food items, and answered questions we have on some different items in the marketplace. The in-depth knowledge of the history of certain items made the tour much more intriguing. Trang then bought us to ride the basket boats which was a great treat. We got to see other folks spinning in the baskets and also got to fish for some crab. My daughter caught one briefly before it jumped off. It was just the right amount of time on the boats. Then we were bought to our cooking class which floats (still) above the water where you were just passing by in the basket boat. Here you are welcomed by the smiling staff and then your class begins. We made some delicious fresh rolls, vegetable pancake, beef noodle salad and beef phó. Trang took her time explaining how to cook each item and we got to eat them immediately after each dish was complete. All the while she was attentively explaining why certain ingredients are used in order to balance against other flavours. When the class ended we were asked if we wanted to be dropped off at our hotel or the city center- which was a nice option. They also gifted us some traditional cooking chopsticks!! Lovely touch. All-in-all, the food was amazing, our guide was perfect and I highly recommend this tour. Our family will remember this forever!Written October 10, 2024

- vonderluster0 contributionsHeart-warming tour despite a rain dayWe had a lovely time with Tin Tin as our guide today. Despite the weather is raining very hard for large part of the day, she tried to guide us through the old town with high spirits. She's been very helpful with handling our needs, like guiding us to try the MOT drinks and buy ponchos or water shoes due to the rain. The food at the dinner was also delicious.Written October 9, 2024

- H7647MGjamesd0 contributionsGreat food and knowledgable guidesHad a great private tour for me and my mate with Anh and Quin. Compared to other tours i've done, this is more like hanging out with some new friends - in a very good way. Quin and Anh were knowledgeable about the food and Hoi An but this is not a cookie-cutter experience. Much more like hanging out with some friends and chatting about food, culture, and history. Doesn't get much better. It may seem obvious, but try to skip lunch before you go - there's so much food!Written October 8, 2024

Nice tour for a family. I was able to WhatsApp the tour guide a few days before the trip, coordinating location and timings.
Unfortunately it wasn’t a true “countryside” bicycle trip as it involved a lot of roads so caution to those who want that as a highlight. For those experienced cyclists, it should be no problem as there was a fair attempt at making a cycling lane for some roads. In the end we had to top up 200k dong to switch to car as my folks were intimidated by the weather and busy roads.
Vegetable farm was short but a nice glimpse into the Vietnamese local farming culture. Sadly we missed the rice paper making as it was a Sunday.
Bamboo boat ride was as expected - a short jaunt down a sea side.
Highlight was the cooking class held by the guide Quan. Delicious food, entertaining teacher with a good grasp of English. Noted they catered to the adjuvant Vegetarian group.
Overall it was enjoyable with hit and misses. A good way to spend 4 hours in Hoi An.

Lovely tour … when one of our bikes got a flat tyre there was a replacement there within a few minutes. Well done. This was three separate activities joined into one. All were great, and the food we cooked under Lily’s expert guidance was delicious. I was particularly impressed by her attention to dietary issues.

Most of this tour was really great, the basket boat was better than i expected as we tried to catch crabs and the people made us little leaf items like a ring, glasses etc, the cookery class was a good experience and a lovely location. The buffalo ride was a little disappointing as you only go maybe 15 meters, it would be great if maybe you could go into the water with them or wash them.

My son and I really enjoyed most of the experience. The bike ride was easy and scenic. The cooking class was well organized and easy to follow. But the boat ride and a lot of the time at the restaurant was completely spoilt by the extremely loud music- karaoke being blasted on the river and very loud music from the house next to the restaurant. If you don't enjoy a lot of noise, give this one a skip. We would have preferred peace and quiet to soak up the scenery and experience.
