This walking street food tour was excellent. Lu, our guide, was very informative and knowledgeable. She was friendly and engaging. We enjoyed an excellent selection of local cuisine. Lu was very conscientious about dietary requirements and allergies, ensuring strict standards around such issues. The ancient town requires overseas tourists to obtain a visitor pass, these need to be purchased separately from counters within the ancient town for approx $6 US. However, if you are unsure or forget, Lu will assist. You will need this pass anyway to access the ancient town whilst in Hoi An.... however it doesn't seem to be heavily policed at all (we were never asked to produce the pass and didn't see anyone asking for them). This tour was 2 and a half hours, with an easy meeting point at the post office. It was a wonderful way to try the local food and take in the beautiful sights in the ancient town. A must do!! Thank you Lu, it was amazing.

My partner & myself had such an amazing time on this food tour all thanks to Luong!! We got to visit the old city which was a special experience and we had the opportunity to try so many different foods that we wouldn’t have tried otherwise. Every single place that we went to, we were greeted by friendly faces and our tour guide Luong was beyond helpful, friendly and so knowledgeable. She made the tour so much fun and provided us with interesting information. We definitely recommend doing this tour if you are in Hoi An. Plenty of food, so we left feeling extremely full and very pleased! :)

We are really enjoyed the old town food tour. Kim, our guide was fantastic, a local girl who knows the area and speaks incredible English. She went out of her way to make the group feel comfortable and maximise the experience. We tried many different foods and visited shops I would never have known existed. I particularly liked the savoury doughnuts and the drinks on the rooftop bar, which in order to access you needed to walk through a silk shop and access some hidden stairs. I’m glad we did this tour. I will definitely re visit some of these places again. Thanks Kim!

The tour did bring you to places off the beaten track, like a footpath or a indoor market which was nice to see. However the food was bland, and when finished I had to go to get supper myself as still hungry. although service was quick, I found the pace of the tour quiet slow and was wondering what was the delay. I don’t think I’d recommend this as the meals I found myself around hoi an were much better quality and value. Also the price of this evening food tour was very expensive for what you actually got. The guide was very polite and friendly

This was a great experience in Hoi An. The food was delicious, it was a fun way to see different parts of the city, and Bong was a wonderful guide. What was especially cool was that the tour brought us to places with Vietnamese food that I hadn't ever had before, even in other parts of the country.

We did the food tour with Luong on the 4th. We've done a few Urban Adventure food tours in different places - this was one of the best thanks to Luong. She was very dilligent about food allergies and gave us lots of extra information, explaining how to eat the meals and chatting to us the entire tour and making sure everyone was looked after, getting plenty to eat. These tours enable you to eat at places you won't find on your own and may not have been confident trying. We've been back to a few of the places on our own afterwards for some more great meals. We had a great group of people for the tour, which also helped make it a fun and relaxed evening. I highly recommend the tour. Thanks Luong!!!

This is a really great way to see hidden gems in Hoi An that you’d otherwise miss, learn more about the local food and spend a great evening with new friends. Our guide “Lu” was a delightful and knowledgeable host. She knew all the fabulous stalls and alleys to eat that we’d have otherwise walked by. If anything wasn’t to your taste then there was soon something else to try. We were all stuffed full by the end. This place is a fun way to spend an evening.

Our guide, Nam, took us to 5 different locations. Each place was very local and authentic food. It was great being taken to these places as we could then return to these spots throughout the rest of our trip!! I would recommend to everyone!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was the first thing we did as soon as we arrived in Hoi An!! Highly recommend you do it early on. We met at the post office, although my friend and I seemed to be the only ones that went to the wrong post office (it’s a private one, same street name but the number is a fraction 45/7 or something like that). Even map.me directed us to that one. It’s WRONG! Luckily we called the guide and Buong (I don’t know how to spell her name) came to pick us up, it’s just a 5 minute walk.
Anyway, the tour was fantastic! There were 11 of us in our group, I think they do a maximum of 12. Our guide was fun and enthusiastic!
The food was delicious! We ate it all! I can’t even decide what we enjoyed the most. We were definitely full by the end of it, and got to eat where the locals eat!
The next day, we went back to a few of the spots! It also helped us get our head round Hoi An so early on.
I’d definitely recommend it!!

Would there be vegetarian alternatives as we have a vegetarian who would like to join?

Hanoi, Vietnam
There are always some vegetarian restaurants of food shops in almost every city in Vietnam. And Vietnam vegetarian foods are delicious too, but of course, it's impossible to alternate all meat stuff to veggies. All you need to do is ask the tour leader or local people to go to the right places and enjoy it.

Hi, we met at 5pm at the post office. And yes the guide can help you locate the ticket booths but there are plenty around just prior to entering the Old Quarter and also with the Old Quarter.
