We went with Lulusafari to both Rwanda and Uganda. It is already our second trip which we had done with this organizer and they did not disappoint again! We had an incredible trip and most of it was thanks to the flexibility and kindness or our guide Smith! I would not book another trip to Africa with another company, and for people who have been on safari or trips before know what a huge role the organization and the guide play.

This was a great experience. Our things with the gorillas was amazing. That was the highlight but we enjoyed the whole 3 day experience. Simon was very helpful and friendly. As an added bonus we got to have Allan travel along as well. They made a great team. I would definitely recommend Lulu's safaris!

We just finished a 3-day tour with Lulu Safaris and I cannot recommend them enough. We were met at the airport by Simon, our guide, and Allan, who was completing his orientation. We were so lucky to have two amazing guides with us during the entire trip. Even though we had been traveling for over 30 hours at that point, they both made the long drive to Bwindi fun and enjoyable. They took care of everything from start to finish, and made sure to add little touches along the way that made the tour even better. We were in Uganda to see gorillas, and it was so nice to have Lulu Safaris handle permits, lodging, food, and everything else we needed. Gorilla trekking was unforgettable — one of the best experiences of my life — and the rest of our short time in Uganda was also lovely learning about the culture and history. The lodge that they booked for us was also wonderful. This felt like a very good value and there is nothing I would change about our experience. Our only regret is that we didn’t book a longer tour! We will be back to Uganda again soon and will book all future tours with Lulu Safaris (and hopefully get to have Simon and Allan as our guides again)!

Smith was a fantastic guide during our four-day trip to Volcanoes NP to see the golden monkeys and Bwindi to see the gorillas, an experience of a lifetime. Upon picking us up in Kigali, he was immediately warm and friendly, and constantly went out of his way to show us sites we were interested in, and give us tips and information about local customs. He expertly guided us out of the city and across the border into Uganda, using his charm to befriend all the police and border guards and locals we interacted with, many of whom he knew personally. Before dropping us off at our hotels each night, he phoned ahead to make sure the staff expected us. We had absolutely zero problems. He is also an excellent driver, and we always felt safe in his vehicle, even with children darting into the highways, or on steep dirt roads in the mountains of Uganda. The journey would have been very intimidating without his help! We passed through Kabale, his hometown, where he introduced us to his lovely family and showed us the local markets before we stayed the night at beautiful nearby Lake Bunyonyi. We think he is an excellent guide, a kind person, and somebody we would seek out again whenever we are in his region.

We did a 12-day tour which was completely taken care of by Lulu Safaris. Together with our guide and driver Samuel, we have been to all the interesting places in Uganda from Kampala. What a wonderful experience that was. Samuel completely unburdened us and expertly drove past rhinos, giraffes, elephants, chimpanzees, gorillas and what not. With a lot of expertise he showed us what beautiful birds there are. During the rides in nice conversations he told a lot about his country, life in Uganda and many other interesting things. 11 days together in a car could lead to discussion or unpleasant silences. That was not the case with us, we talked about anything and everything and got along just fine. We made the trip with the two of us and the nice thing about this setup is that you also make the game drives with your own vehicle so that you can stop where you want and take as long as you think necessary. The planning with all lodges and organizations was perfectly arranged, we were expected everywhere and were on time for all appointments, which deserves a compliment. The car in which we made the tour was an original Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series with a roof that could be opened, perfect for the game drives and completely in style for an optimal experience. We really enjoyed our trip through Uganda and thank everyone who contributed to this.

This experience was amazing! I saw everything I had hoped for and more. I photographed 141 species of birds new to me and another 100 or so that I had seen before. I was able to see the Shoe Bill and also the Chimpanzees and Gorillas. The falls at Murchinson were amazing. All the accommodation was of a high standard and I enjoyed the food. My guide, Robert, was a wonderful driver and very patient as we stopped to see numerous birds along the way. He was also good company at various dinners and breakfasts and in the long car journeys. Overall I could not have hoped for a better experience.

Big thanks to Audence (Odin) aka "The King of Asgard" for making our first trip to Rwanda and Uganda as memorable as it could be. Odin was a friendly, helpful and well informed guide/tracker who made our safari trips so much more entertaining and is one of the best as we was able to see a leopard thanks to him spotting it in the dark! He was also nice enough to teach us how to spot the difference between a rock and Rhino lol. He even helped us with any extra travel or activities even after we parted ways which was really appreciated. Would definitely recommend him as guide for anyone planning a trip in Rwanda and Uganda

On any guided tour, the guide will be the determining factor between a good trip and a excellent one. On this 4 day Gorilla tour, our guide was Smith. He is energized, enthusiastic, and clearly loves his job. I would recommend him for anyone coming to Uganda to experience the Gorillas. As experienced travellers, we never expect things to be perfect and will likely forget all the things that exceeded our expectations and will laugh about all the things that weren't quite what we expected. Come to Uganda with an open mind and enjoy it for what it is. I believe that we got good value from Lulu and would recommend them to future travellers.

What an amazing 4 days in Rwanda and Uganda with Lulu Safaris! We booked the wildlife and gorilla trekking safari. My partner and I were lucky enough to be shown around by our wonderful guide, Hillary. Hillary was warm and friendly from the first day to the last. Each day was filled with new information, enthusiasm and pleasant conversation. We always felt that our interest was the priority and Hillary would do whatever he could to accomodate. We were even invited for a meal with Hillary’s beautiful family in their local village - something we would not have had otherwise! The tour itself was well organised with Elvis answering any questions we had beforehand. We stayed at beautiful places across Rwanda and Uganda in the 4 days. Lake Bunyoni was a beautiful stop! The hour spent with the gorillas was the highlight and definitely worth every cent. It is great value for the incredible experience. We would highly recommend Hillary and Lulu Safaris!

Incredible tour. Smith was the absolute best guide one could ask for. It was me and him for five days and he'd bend over backwards to make me happy and make sure I had everything I wanted and needed. Our eleven-day safari was one of the best experiences of our lives. Mr Elvis Masiga of Lulu Safari was very easy to contact and made all the requested modifications to the original offer. The genuine kindness of Ugandan people, the wildlife, the great lodges we stayed at ... these all make up a dream holiday, but the decisive factor was our guide, Audence. We went at the end of the rainy season and had quite a few adventures (couldn't get back to our hotel due to a road completely washed away by rain, fallen tree blocking the road, mudroads impossible to cross), and somehow Audence arranged everything and overcame the difficulties, always cheerful and extremely resolutive. All our requests were fulfilled on the run. He was great at animal-spotting, often better than the official ranger-guides of the national parks, extremely knowledgeable about the plants, birds, animals, food, history and culture of Uganda. 100 percent recommended!

If you are planning to visit Uganda, Lulu Safaris is the best option. We made the trip with a group of 8 friends (55-60 years old) Elvis and his team designed a tailor-made tour for us through the best of Uganda (Murchinson Falls NP, Kibale NP, Queen Elisabeth NP, Bwindy NP and Lake Bunyonyi). The highlights of the tour were: -Big Five and boat tour to Murchinson Falls, the sunset was magical. -Monitoring the friendly chimpanzees in Kibale. -Animal sightings in Queen Elisabeth and the Equator line. -The highlight of the trip was tracking gorillas in the impenetrable forest of Bwindy, probably the best money spent in my life. -I would not like to forget to mention the wonderful views of Lake Bunyonyi. We made the trip in two comfortable TTs in very good condition and the quality of the hotels chosen, much better than we expected. Finally, I would just like to highlight and thank the work of Dennis and Victor, the Spanish-speaking guides, and Brian and Frank, who with their work and friendliness made the trip easier for us.

We did the 8 day Rwanda and Uganda safari. The whole organization process by Elvis was seamless. I definitely recommend booking in for an organized safari rather than going around alone; getting the licenses, booking all the accommodations and coordinating everything can take away from the experience. We were picked up at our hotel in Rwanda by Smith who was with us the first day and then we continued the tour with Odence. Both of our guides were amazing! Their positive energy, knowledge and kindness made our trip even more memorable. The lodges we stayed at were great some of them in the national parks. The wildlife was incredible and the guys made sure we leave with seeing the most possible. The experience just got better every day, golden monkeys, gorillas, chimpanzees, lions, giraffes, zebras, hippos, rhynos... If you want an experience for a lifetime I definitely recommend! The wildlife safari was an unforgettable experience. For sure because of this amazing country and what it has to offer but what truly made our trip so special was our guide Audence - he knows the country like his back pocket - finds the big 5 and spots a bird from miles away!! Appreciated the extra help with our Visa process, flight challenges, and bag recovery - none of which were Lulu issues, yet Elvis and Charles stepped up to help. We loved our Uganda vacation - the people, animals, land, language, food, and culture.
