Uganda is an amazing country to experience wildlife! It is difficult to not like it. I did a 11 day trip of Uganda in Dec, 2024 with Ngoni Safaris.Had a great experience thanks to my guide Charles Friday, he is very friendly and knowledgeable. Communication from Sedrick, the owner, is not the best. Many things were not mentioned in advance and had to remind him multiple times to send confirmation and other details. Two of my hotels were changed mid-trip without any prior notice. I was just checked into different hotels from the ones I had been told during booking. I was a little sceptical because of the communication but thankfully the trip turned out great. I suggest confirming all the details multiple times while booking although that might be a challenge.

A group of 8 from Russia, experienced Africa visitors, had been blessed by gods and weather to see and admire the pearls of Central Africa - Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi with gorillas (exciting!), chimpanzee (closest relatives!), elephants, hippos, rhinos etc. - with plenty of encounters with Mother Africa’s wonders (Murchison Falls, game rides, river cruises, cultural villages, Burundi drummers etc.). Guide Eddy was most helpful and effective - driving hundreds of km per day and giving profound info; guide Hillary is on his way to be as effective (but this will take some time!).

I had an amazing time with Ngoni and most notably Eddy my guide. I traveled solo for this trip so the person I spent 9 days with was key to the experience. Eddy was a pleasure to be around - very personable and knowledgeable. There is a lot of travel time between locations so having the right travel partner is key! The accommodations were as described and added comfort plus enjoyable meals at the end of each day. They were equal feel of being one with nature but offering the creature comforts I want while traveling. All animal encounters were incredible but the gorillas stole the show. It was clear they were just as interested in our visit as we were to see them. I loved the challenge of getting to them to see them in their world. If you are considering a trip to Uganda then I definitely recommend putting your trust in Ngoni to give you a memorable vacation!

In July 2024, we traveled with Ngoni Safaris for a life-changing trip that included gorilla trekking in Rwanda and a safari in Tanzania. The overall experience was fantastic, with stunning wildlife encounters and incredible landscapes. Starting in Rwanda, the gorilla trekking was absolutely spectacular—a bucket-list experience that did not disappoint. We also visited the genocide memorial, the Ellen DeGeneres Gorilla Center, and other meaningful stops that added depth to our trip. Our guide/driver in Rwanda was polite and professional, though fairly quiet. We would have appreciated more engagement and local insights, as his commentary often focused on Uganda, his beloved home country. Still, the experience was well-organized, and Rwanda left a lasting impression on us. Pro Tip: Kigali Airport is extremely (almost laughably) disorganized and stressful, so we were especially grateful that Ngoni arranged our internal flights. This is something many companies don’t include, but it made our planning smoother and saved us a lot of hassle. In Tanzania, things really stepped up. I had designed an ambitious itinerary, and Ngoni was very adaptable to our requests, ensuring we fit everything in. Our guide (Shedrack) in Tanzania was outstanding—knowledgeable, proactive, and the perfect match for our travel style. Over four days in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, we saw an astonishing variety of wildlife. A standout moment was when our guide adjusted the schedule to take us to the northern Serengeti for a glimpse of the wildebeest migration, even though we hadn’t originally planned on visiting that area. We also explored Olduvai Gorge, Materuni village, and the Shira Plateau on Kilimanjaro, all of which were incredible additions. One activity we tried was a balloon safari, which offered a unique perspective of the Serengeti, and Ngoni arranged that as well. Despite the packed schedule, everything came together smoothly, and the lodging was consistently very good for mid-to-upper range accommodations— safe, clean, and often in stunning locations. Ngoni is a Uganda-based company and subcontracts out guides and services in other countries, which worked well overall but occasionally led to small delays or last-minute changes. While this trip was a significant investment, Ngoni may appeal to travelers looking to trim a small amount from their overall budget without sacrificing key experiences. Their policy of not charging extra for credit card payments was a nice touch as well. While there were moments where communication felt delayed or disorganized, the overall experience far outweighed these minor issues. I had a 13 day custom trip of Rwanda and Uganda. It was a trip of a lifetime. From the time I started planning the trip until the execution everything was as expected. There was a slight glitch in my itinerary at the very beginning and Sedrick immediately took care of it and made sure I was happy. Allanie was my guide and driver, he was very customer oriented, I was traveling solo and never once did I feel unsafe. He was very punctual and made sure I had the opportunity to see the big 5. He showed me more birds than I can remember. On my last day I wanted to add Mawambe Swamp to go see the Shoebill and Sedrick made it happen. Sedrick replied to all my messages promptly. I cannot say enough good things about this company, Sedrick and Allanie made my trip memorable.

Actually I search on the website and there are only few info about the gorilla trekking travel agent, finally got the contact with Ngoni safaris Uganda, and the response is rapid and answer all my concern, they are willing to pick up from Kigali airport to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, even I am solo, the best part is I can pay the deposit with credit card via their website, not tax, it helps me a lot, and the tour guide Smith is very nice and responsible person and willing to make friend to everyone, it seems like everyone is his friend🤣 he will make sure my request got fulfilled or not, highly recommend for the travel agent, the hotel is nice arrangement, really lucky to see gorilla family! Totally worth for the trip!

It was an experience we will never forget. The nature and animals in Uganda are amazing, as well as the culture. The places we stayed in were all decent and we were treated excellent. Our guide Eddy has a great knowledge of Uganda and he will let you taste all assets of the country. He was very punctual and responsible. If we have to give one tip, it is that some of the afternoons were a bit slow and could be filled with some other activities. Some extra options during these times would have been nice. Regardless we would highly recommend Ngoni Safaris as travel partner for your trip to Uganda. We couldn't have wished for a better guide than Eddy!

We travelled with Ngoni Safari for 10 days in Uganda and Rwanda. Eddy took us through Uganda with exceptional professionalism and showed us the beauty of the country, through its marvellous landscapes and rich wildlife. We met so many nice and kind people. Eddy is so knowledgeable and professional and you can tell he loves his job. In Bwindi we met Smith, another guide working for Ngoni. He was as professional as Eddy and probably the most joyous guy I've ever met, always smiling and always happy. He took us over the border to Rwanda and to Kigali. He showed us around in the city, explaining and accommodated all of our needs. On the same day we decided to book a gorilla trekking the very next day at the Volcano NP in the north. He picked us up at 3.30 am and drove us back and forth with utmost excitement. Smith is just a marvel be around with. Both our guides, Eddy and Smith are the real deal.

It was absolutely amazing to be able to experience the gorillas in their natural environment. Our guide Smith was very knowledgeable, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile. We ended up having flight issues and Ngoni Safari was able to accommodate and make things work despite a challenging schedule. Would absolutely recommend as it’s a once in a life time experience!

I and 2 friends had the pleasure of just completing a 9 day tour and safari in Uganda with Ngoni Safari Tours. From the very beginning we found Sedrick the owner to be most responsive and flexible in arranging an itinerary that suited all of us and at a price that was very agreeable. Our guide Eddy was the epitome of the perfect guide, extremely knowledgeable about the history of Uganda, and facts about wildlife. His amazing tracking abilities had us seeing the big 5 animals in Murchison NP and Queen Elizabeth NP. He was kind and courteous and became more of a friend by the end of our tour. Would highly recommend booking a trip with Ngoni Safaris.

Ngoni chose wonderful lodges for our friend group of three and we were able to customize our itinerary to give us two days at each location so we didn’t feel rushed. We had the 9-day tour of Murchison Falls and the savanna, Kibale National Park to see the chimpanzees, Queen Elizabeth National Park for a morning and evening game drive (saw leopards and lions), and finally, Bwindi where we hiked to see the gorillas. Amazing trip and we felt well taken care of and our guide, Eddy, was considerate and knowledgeable and we felt fortunate to have him.

Rwanda Safari Experience of a lifetime! Smith our tour guide was amazing. Such a friendly, caring and knowledgeable person. He picked us promptly from the airport and took us to the da vinci gorilla lodge. We visited the fosey museum, cultural village and hiked with a group of 20 mountain gorillas. I have been on an uganda safari with another company 2 years ago but the safari with Smith from ngoni safaris was fantastic. We will forever remember Smith and this excellent expedition.

I had an amazing time doing the 3-day gorilla trek! It was truly one of the most incredible experiences! I was picked up Friday and transported to Bwindi Forest, spent Saturday trekking in the forest and visiting the nearby community, and then was transported back to Entebbe on Sunday. The gorilla trekking was incredible (I saw TWO gorilla families), and I really enjoyed the community walk, as well, where I learned about the Batwa people. The lodge was also lovely and had great food. My guide David was excellent! I was a solo traveler and he really helped to make the experience as great as possible. I highly recommend this tour!!!

My wife and I loved this amazing experience. Our guide, David Gaudi made sure we saw everything and were comfortable throughout the experience. We saw so many animals during our time (leopards, lions, elephants, hippos, rhinos, zebras, and birds of all kinds). The resort was great and located inside the national park. We also did a boat tour of the Nile and visited a Rhino preserve. I would strongly recommend the tour and David Gaudi as a guide.
