About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Jackline_Mcharo0 contributionsThe best Safari everWild Jungle Trails Safaris was a pleasure to work with from our first contact with Joyce in the office to saying goodbye to Twaha and Frank after a fabulous 9 days! We started in Murchison Falls and made our way down the west of Uganda, including incredible game drives, chimpanzee trekking and gorilla trekking and stunning river cruises! I highly recommend this Ugandan owned safari company to anyone interested in experiencing the lovely hospitality of the Uganda people and the diverse and beautiful national parks of this very special country. My group of 11 are well-travelled people and we agreed this adventure was the best of all of our travels! please book with them - Thanks wild jungle trails TeamWritten November 27, 2024
- H4723LMpetrah0 contributionsUganda TripA great experience of chimpanzee trekking in the Kibale National Park followed by an overnight stay in Lake Nkuruba, a beautiful accommodation in the middle of untouched nature. Then two game drives in the Murchison Fall National Park, a boat tour on the Nile to the Murchison Falls, or at least until shortly before, as the Nile carries a lot of water due to the rainy season. Watching the Lions at Game Drive was the highlight. In Kampala still an overnight stay at the Redchilli Hideaway, a very nice accommodation. A very big thank to Twaha and his great team, Frank and Warren.Written October 25, 2024
- EnricoK1790 contributionsAirport pick up and drop. Lions. Zebra. Elefant. Antilopes. Rhino. Hipp. Wild hog. Kampala nightlife. Great accomodationcouple: 31 / 29 The tour was incredible. Our guide Klaus (local name Twaha) was that well prepared, that we never had any problems or missunderstandings. He picked us with a sign at the airport and drove / convoyed us the whold trip until he brought us back to the airport after 7 days. Every single guesthouse / lodge was realy nice and we has very good breakfast / lunch / dinner. The highlight was for sure that he did everything for us to see as many animals as possible. Some rides in the early morning / some during the day and also some night rides. I never thought that we can come so close the all of these animal. Everytime he explained very good abd he was very helpful. Even during the rides he did everything for us, e g picking some fruits at the street market / buying local lim cards / showing us the local nightlife in Kampala and the streetmarkets. And important was, that we never felt afraid. We got that nice photos and videos of all animals and we can definitely recommend the ride with a 5 star vote. We became good friends and i m sure we will still keep in contact with Klaus :) Thanks for that incredible experience :)Written October 18, 2024
- flyerfan220 contributionsAn amazing personalized adventure through Uganda over 10 daysWhat an amazing adventure! We knew we wanted to travel to Uganda for gorilla trekking, so we started the great search for a tour company in the spring of 2023. We knew permits were limited and we needed to book at least a year in advance. We looked at some of the typical tours (Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth Park, Kibale (chimp trekking) and Bwindi (gorilla trekking). We decided we wanted a more personalized tour for ourselves. We found Wild Jungle on Safari Bookings after contacting a few different highly rated vendors. We immediately connected with Tina and worked with her to customize the trip the way we wanted. She was very patient, listened to our requests, and made sure she gave us the best options possible. We provided a deposit, and our tour was booked. Along the way, Tina accepted a position with another company, and our booking was reassigned to Twaha, the owner. Of course we were concerned when Tina departed, but Twaha stepped right in and reassured any concerns we had. Twaha has several guides he uses for tours. We were originally assigned to one of them, but his group extended their stay, and Twaha became our guide himself. Twaha has been doing this for many years, and he has the knowledge and connections to ensure a memorable trip. Everywhere we went, he made sure we arrived early and had the best guides. He meshed quite well with our “type A” personality. For future travelers reading this, let me assure you that Twaha is genuine and I don’t hesitate to recommend him.Written August 24, 2024

- Peace B0 contributionsUnforgettable Experience!I’m a huge fun of nature and every time I travel I make sure that’s part of my itinerary. I’m so glad Wild Jungle trails had all I wanted. I did a 3-day Murchison falls safari and it exceeded my expectations. The package comes with the hike to the falls which was so magnificent. Another thing I loved was the fact that they offer many opportunities to view a variety of wildlife. I would definitely recommend! I’ve gotta say this was such an awesome tour. Thank you @wildjungletrails!Written August 3, 2024
- georgeanna20190 contributionsGreat safari - Great guideThe whole trip was amazing and our guide Oscar was top notch. He took us around the park spotting endless antelopes, giraffes and elephants. We saw a leopard and a lion and many hippos. The birds that we saw were beautiful as well. We saw three crested cranes. The highlight of the trip was the hike to Murchison Falls. We saw a rainbow burst out of the water as the sun rose. The whole trip was just amazing. We absolutely loved Oscar. He shared his knowledge of the various animals and history of the area. I highly recommend using this tour company.Written August 2, 2024
- claudiaQ3889HT0 contributionsA lifelong dream comes trueFor wonderful 9 days I was on safari in Uganda with Wild Jungle Trails and coordinator Twaha. An individual program was put together for me according to my wishes. QENP and Ishasha, Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Lake Bunyonyi and Mburo National Park. I am amazed by the wonderful landscapes and magnificent animals of Uganda. Twaha made it possible for me to see the big 5 and many other animals - we were often the only vehicle there! The special thing about Wild Jungle Trails and tour operator Twaha is that as a guest I was shown and able to do so much more in addition to the announced "program". I look back very fondly on our trip to the tea fields and to the Ankole cattles, the visit to a Ugandan village cinema and the wonderful hike around a lonely crater lake. I will never forget our spontaneous trip to the Democratic Republic of Congo and the happy meeting with the market women there or the last day of our trip, actually only the return trip was supposed to be on the agenda. But Twaha organized something very special for me: I hiked with ranger Rebecca (such a great woman) for 2 1/2 hours in the Mburo National Park with the giraffes and zebras. Just beautiful. I was very impressed with the choice of accommodation. In addition to the beautiful lodges, I also spent two nights in the lovely guest house of a project for women in the Bwinde region, Ride 4 woman. Here I was able to purchase beautiful, authentic handmade fabric Ugandan gifts for my family and friends at home. I was even able to visit the Batwa Pygmy Women and it gave me great pleasure. For me as a woman traveling alone, Twaha's reserved nature and always forward planning was a very pleasant experience. He made sure I was well equipped and always made sure I had the best spot, whether on the boat trip or visiting the wonderful gorillas. Humor was never neglected on this trip. I want to come back with friends and one thing is for sure, Wild Jungle Trails and Twaha will host our trip.Written July 19, 2024

- jerrymC4782LX0 contributionsamazing fishing experience and wonderful Safari!Fishing and Safari! Not only are the land animals amazing, don't forget about the water :) Twaha was our guide on land and he always delivers the best experience. His knowledge of the animals and where to find them in the park is second to none. It amazes me how many people at the lodge say they didn't see much , when my group ALWAY sees the best . (my 3rd trip with Twaha) This time Twaha organized a one day fishing excursion for me on the Nile to seek out the elusive Nile perch....and did he deliver. We started with a well equipped boat and made our way up to the Falls, stopping to catch small tilapia to use for bait...after we had our live well full we made our way closer to the Falls. After a short hike over a bluff, my guide Edwin rigged up the tilapia and we casted our bait into the turbulent water of the Nile....within a 10-15 minutes time span , we hooked up on a 20+ kg Nile Perch....the fight was amazing! truly a great experience and i recommend it to all adventurous fisherman. Word of advice, wear pants and long sleeves as the flies are aggressive and use bug spray ....you are in the their world !!Written March 4, 2024
- MonikaLangen0 contributionsMaking the very best out of our group trip!Once again Twaha made the very best out of our 4 days trip to Murchison Falls NP, Rhino Sanctuary and Budongo forest. He made an excellent planning and organized very special boat trips, game drives and walking tours. As always he was absolutely reliable and helpful, also in issues concerning our NGO. And of course: always in best mood! Thank you, Twaha , for this great experience!Written November 3, 2022
- 321birgitz0 contributionsPure AdventureTwaha planned our 4 day trip to Murchison Falls perfectly. The adventure started at the Red Chilli Camp, where you get a very warm welcome. He showed us "the top of the falls" at sunset where beautiful photos were taken. Rhinos in the wild, chimpanzee watching, Nile delta trips with metre-long crocodiles, spectacular thrills are inevitable when you meet an elephant on a night drive and stop right next to him to watch him eat. He knows how to behave when encountering extraordinary animals like lions. He put our wishes together for an all-round feel-good weekend. In the evening by the fire, the day's experiences were told. It wasn't the first tour we did with Twaha and his super nice guides (this time a big thank you to Jamahl).... and certainly not the last 😍 Thanks guys🤝🏿🤝🏻 Brighet 😃 aus Morsbach, DeutschlandWritten October 14, 2022
- senfz20220 contributionsThe best man you can get in Uganda...Let's be honest... Twaha is the greatest guide you can get. There is no problem/request he can't handle. (He always answers: "No problem!") His drivers are patient and very polite. Even off the trail you can have so much fun with them. For safaris he will do everything to show and explain the true nature of Uganda. So if you want to visit Uganda and need a ride or you want to see the nature, the animals and get some background of where you are, Twaha is your man! We've been there with a group of 13 and all had the same great experience with him and his crew. Twaha, we will visit Uganda with you again! Cya, Ben.Written October 14, 2022

We started to look for midrange safari tour and found the website of Wild Jungle Trails Safaris. We asked a lot of question to Teresa from the online chat and she helped us to make the best decision. She was super nice and helpful.
Once we were in Kampala, hotel picked up was on time, Twaha was our driver, he is super nice, knowledgeable, knows his animals and know how to spot them.
On the way back, we asked to be dropped not on our hotel but on our covid appointment and it was without any problem.
Wild Jungle Trails Safaris in Uganda is a great option for Safari! If you have doubt or still thinking about it, don't think and just do it.
We truly recommend them!!
