We have had over 40 different Safari guides over all our trips to Africa and Charles is the best. Charles has an ability to spot animals that is amazing. He set up a 27 day itinerary to Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. All the lodges were excellent with excellent food, service and accommodations. Spending time with Charles is enjoyable. He is knowledgeable about the animals and the parks. He partners with great companies in Kenya and Tanzania that ensure a delightful trip. He is easy to work with and set up a customized tour for us. The most impressive thing about Charles is his heart for the education of children. He uses the profits and tips to fund the education of children in his native village of Mubaku. He founded Mubaku School, which is bringing hope of a better future to an entire community. This was our third time with Pamoja Safari and it will not the last.

After researching several different tour companies, I decided on Pamoja Safaris and am so happy that I made the right decision! I cannot say enough about how easy it was to work with Charles in planing a tailor made itinerary for the 12 days my friend and I spent exploring Uganda. Charles was the perfect guide. He is very personable as well as an excellent driver and problem solver. (When our luggage didn't arrive in Kigali as planned, he worked with the airlines and the airport in Kigali to locate and return it to us. The lodges were all wonderful, but when one of them assigned us to a room we did not like, he worked with the owners to give us one that exceeded our expectations.) Charles is extremely knowledgeable about his beloved country, its history, its people and its wildlife. Not only was he an absolute pleasure to be with, he was able to spot (from a distance!) animals that other tours missed. He also arranged for us to spend 4 hours with the gorillas of Bwindi instead of the usual 1 hour. This "habituation experience" was amazing and I highly recommend it. Every day was a new and unique experience. We tracked Golden Monkeys in Volcanoes National Park, Gorillas in Bwindi, Chimpanzees in Kibale. The game drives and cruises on the nNile were fantastic! Charles knew exactly were to take us to view lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, baboons, hippos various antelope and so much more. We also were able to track rare Rhinos in the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Another unique advantage to traveling with Charles is that he took us to the Mubaku Community where he grew up to meet its people, visit its school and learn about the life of people in rural Uganda. This experience was very special and not available with other tour companies. The 12 days spent with Charles surpassed my expectations by far! I highly recommend choosing Pamoja Safaris!!

Our trip was actually 12 days Rwanda/Uganda Primates. Pamoja Safaris provided a perfect and unique in a lifetime experience. Our guide collaborated with us to devise a diverse and doable trip tying safari, cruises, road trips, National Parks and opportunities to become culturally enlightened by way of engaging with people in their communities. Getting close to animals in their habitats on foot, deep into the National Parks and on the waterfront was life changing. Seeing animals from a vehicle with suspension that was surreal with a driver who navigated it better than Parnelli Jones was impressive. Pamoja Safaris made all the arrangements including reservations for Gorilla Habituation, Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park, game viewing, Murchison Falls and more as well as park entry fees and accommodations. The 12 day journey went smoothly. We felt confidant, comfortable and well cared for. Our guide Charles greeted us with a smile each morning at breakfast, very early and before a full day of wonder. it doesn't take long to see why Uganda is called the "pearl of Africa" -- a beautiful and welcoming country! But, as an American it's not easy to get around. Charles Oyer and his partner, Sebby, managed the logistics of our travel beautifully. From mountain gorilla tracking to visiting a chimp group to game drives in the amazing national parks, Charles and Pamoja Safaris couldn't have been better: organized, knowledgable and always a pleasure to be with. Charles is a wonderful ambassador for his home country, and I highly recommend Pamoja Safaris Uganda if you plan to visit this pearl!

This was my fourth trip to Africa, and Uganda was my eight country visited. I can state without hesitation that the itinerary, activities, lodgings, food, and especially guides were second to none. Pamoja certainly knew their clients wishes when they devised the itinerary, and each location always delivered maximum sites and excitement. Fred, our guide and driver was probably the best I've had. His driving skills alone were amazing. In addition, the price point was also the best. We spent a great deal of time reading thru many, if not all Uganda tour companies literature and Pamoja certainly was the best with cost and value optimization. I, without hesitation strongly recommend choosing Pamoja for any African adventure you may be planning.

This was the best trip that I've ever been on, and it's all thanks to Pamoja Safaris. Charles and Sebby made this the best trip it could be and ensured that all of our needs were met. All the accommodations were above and beyond my expectations. The food was great and the experiences were indescribable . Charles and Sebby were amazing. They made us feel like family. They answered all our questions and were very patient with us. They made us laugh and smile the whole trip. They are definitely they best around here and do the best job of accommodating. When I needed things that I did not have they instantly went out and got what I needed and made sure I was safe and always having a good time. They will definitely be forever friends and I am forever grateful for the experience they provided. I wish I was able to spend more time with them and I wish all people got to experience time with them! This trip was surreal thanks to them and I cannot thank them enough for helping us. Leaving I know that I have made friendships that will go past this trip with Charles and Sebby and I’m excited to see Pamoja continue to grow! Words cannot describe the experience I had with them and how much they have impacted me.

Had an amazing experience with Pamoja Safaris. Our guides Charles and Sebby were so knowledgeable and fun! Every experience we had was incredible and Charles and Sebby were the perfect guides for every part of the trip whether it be gorilla trekking or game drives in the savanna.

Best ever safari! The tour guides made my trip! Sebbi and Charles are super funny and I found myself staying up late at night and talking with them while sharing stories. We got within 5 feet of wild gorillas, chimps, golden monkeys, lions (from a car) and more! This trip was life changing and I can’t stress enough how much you need to book with Pamoja. Also the places you stay at have views of the rainforest, volcanos, lakes and more, the places are better than anywhere I have stayed in America.

From day 1 on, my family and myself, we accompanied by Fred our driver for a 10 days trip in Uganda. We all had an awesome time, it was a fantastic human and geographic experience. We just over two weeks in Uganda and I think we covered everything we could of ever imagined and more, the holiday was more then we could of ever hoped for, we had a fantastic time, Fred our tour guide was brilliant, he was very knowledgeable, friendly and always had us laughing, he’s a credit to Pamoja safaris. I picked pamoja safaris as I was the most convenient being able to be picked up Kigali Rwanda airport I was met with Charles my guide for a three day gorilla trekking which was mesmerising being able to see the mountain gorillas up close and personal I will never forget also I highly recommend hiring a porter as it very steep inclines the accommodation at lake Bunyonyi was an excellent choice on the final day we did the Uganda equator line and dropped me off at my hotel in Kampala Uganda If I were to come back to Africa I will definitely choose them again 🦍🇺🇬
