We booked a trip for 2020 which was cancelled due to covid. I have requested numerous times for a refund which has fallen on deaf ears. Personally I believe this is a scam business and they take your money and don't meet their obligations. STAY AWAY. I WOULD NEVER BOOK EITH THEM AGAIN

That travel agency has to be shut down. I paid my whole trip for 2 persons and i have to fight to recover my money. I have to cancel because two months before departure, they can't show me any proof about one réservation. We doubt somebody will be at the airport to welcome us. The owner, Michael, has been arrested by ugandan tourism police the same year we originaly bought our package, end 2019. Our journey has been reported twice because of COVID-19. Now, they are still operatng but i believe they are short of money and don't respect their obligations. Don't take the risk to go with them. Believe me, i an an other victim of this travel agency.

Primate Vacations canceled my gorilla and golden monkey treks while I was in Kenya. I signed up in June The trip was supposed to be in September and in Rwanda. After I paid them $1,500 for the gorilla permit they never responded to my emails, whatsapp message and phone calls except for one email while I was in Kenya when I was supposed to be in Rwanda within a week. The gorilla trek was supposed to be Rwanda. I asked them to signed me up with another tour group. They never responded. And they did not refund my 1,500 dollars for the permit. My airfares were not refundable. They screwed me bad. STAY AWAY.

PRIMATE VACATIONS UNTRUSTWORTHY & DONT HONOUR THEIR REFUND POLICY Beware of this company as their address is not correct and their promise to refund you 100% is not honoured by them. I would highly recommend that you do not use this company when you go on tour as the mere fact that they do not have an address that is correct, apart from them not being trustworthy when making promises to their clients, should be enough of a warning sign that this company may not be legitimate. I have been waiting for 8 months now for their promised refund which is even documented through emails, without success.

Primate Vacations do not keep their promise of a 100% refund if your trip is cancelled. Beware, they promise to refund you, but despite numerous promises for the past 8 months they are still to refund me. Beware, think twi e before using them as they take your money and lie about their 100% refund policy. If they lie about this, then what else are they lying about?!

Being able to observe a family of 16 + chimpanzees interacting with each other and having one walk just is a truly surreal experience. Finding the troop was not a given as they move continuously in their search for food. Our rangers had to double back and search a different area before we had the good fortune to come across the family. The trek was not difficult but be ready for it to take longer than stipulated. At the end of the day, being able to spend time with these highly intelligent and human creatures was worth it all. Highly recommended regardless if you are a nature lover or otherwise

First safari in Africa. Every issue we had was addressed and communication during the planning stage was great. Irene was always honest and was able to make great recommendations. Our only concern was accommodation in Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda but it turned out to be more than we expected. Throughout, the team at Primate Vacations provided excellent service and the travel logistics went without a hitch. The less-known Lake Mburo in Uganda as great. We loved staying there, the same way we did in the Serengeti. We have had a wonderful safari and recommend Primate Vacations.

Primate Vacations is the only way to go! The trip to Kidepo was our second in Uganda during our extended journey around East Africa where we volunteered in a school near Arusha. And once again, our expectations were far exceeded. Last time we visited Bwindi and Serengeti early this month. Our last has been Kidepo National Park in Uganda; all trips were amazing and full of breathtaking variety. Hassan (from Primate Vacations in Arusha) put together the most amazing itineraries for Serengeti and Kidepo, and every stop was a delight. He seemed to know what we wanted and all aspects were taken care of. My partner Elizabeth recommended Primate Vacations to dozens of people before and I want to do the same. Primate Vacations superbly organized our gorilla trekking tour to Uganda. There is no finer adventure than meeting the gorillas of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Our guide Martin clearly loves his job and the depth of his knowledge will impress anyone. And his energetic dedication to teaching us about the natural beauty was legendary. He was constantly attentive to our comfort, to the environment around us and to the angle of each person's view. Primate Vacations taught us constantly as we traveled through Uganda and you will find them to be entertaining and skilled.

I have traveled extensively and dealt with other travel companies, I honestly believe this company gave us more than we paid for during our tour of Murchison Falls, Kibale National Park, Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Park where we trekked gorillas. The lodges in Uganda were very nice and our guide Robert was knowledgeable. We are already planning our Summer 2010 trip to Masai Mara with Primate Vacations. My children and I had a great tour of Rwanda. We have just arrived in Uganda for our next 10 day tour of Uganda. Our Rwanda guide Fredrick was awesome and very professional. He had great knowledge about the gorillas and we saw many birds in the Volcanoes National Park. We trekked to Dian Fossey Tomb and bought crafts before our flight today morning. This is our first night in Uganda. We are excited to start the tour tomorrow. I will review this company again after the Uganda tour and share pictures if I can. I highly recommend Primate Vacations.
