About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Judith D0 contributionsGreat day outGreat day out Fantastic day out exploring Rhodes the boat trip to and from was good, plenty to see in the old town lovely shops and plenty of places to eat and drink not expensive, the scenery is amazing will go again to see the new town A must go visitWritten October 11, 2024
- 67jemmam0 contributionsAmazing experienceAmazing ! Must do whilst in Turkey , tour guide very friendly and informative , the ruins were spectacular to see and to learn about , so much to take in , appreciate the enthusiasm of the tour guide which meant we had a fully informed tour and experience.Written October 10, 2024
- Sanoniem V0 contributionsComfortabelNice well organised. Comfortable catamaran to go to Rhodos On the island there was enough time to walk around and eat lunchWritten September 26, 2024
- GaiusMagnus0 contributionsExhausting day and little time in Rhodes.A day trip to Rhodes! Sounds exciting, but be warned, a trip that takes @ day but no5 that much time in Rhodes. Coach pick up time is 7.35 am. You’ll get to the the port at Marmaris in 30 minutes or so. Then, queue number one for passport check and obtain boarding cards. Then, queue number two, passport control. Hey, eventually the boat pulls out at 9am. Into Rhodes at 10.35 and into queue number three; passport control (Again!) By about 11.10 we were into Rhodes at last. We must be back at the boat terminal god 3.15pm. So, after 4.5 hours we are back at the terminal, into a queue (number four) for passport control. At 4.00 pm the boat heads for Marmaris. At 5.30pm we dock and into another queue, number five, for passport control. By Labour 6.15 we boarded our bus for Içmellor, getting back about 6.45pm. A relaxing day in Rhodes? You must be joking!Written September 25, 2024
- elainegroom630 contributionsGreat day tripWe had a great day out on this trip. We were picked up from our hotel on.time and was an hour drive to get to the boat. The mud baths were brilliant. There are changing rooms and showers there. Then had lunch on the boat. Then went off to turtle beach where we saw turtles. The sandy beach is amazing, so you will need a spare costume if you want to swim in the sea. There is place to eat and drink on the beach and also changing rooms and showers. You see kings tombs cut out in the rock. The boat went slowly past so you could take photos. Then 2 hour boat trip back to the coach then an hour journey back to our hotel. So out from 8.15 to 6.30. So, a long day! You can buy drinks on the boat and photo of you in mud bath. It's very well priced, too.Written September 25, 2024
- Lucy S0 contributionsLovely day but a couple of downsides!A lovely day out with very friendly staff! It was lovely to see the popular sites in the area too! However, for anyone thinking of booking the experience it is a long day (roughly 11 hours) and you are only able to buy drinks etc from the boat….no food or drink that has been brought yourself can be consumed. Anyone who is hoping to see a turtle just keep in mind that this is not guaranteed although we were lucky enough to spot one as we were leaving! Overall it was worth the trip but just a couple of downsides!Written September 25, 2024
- MattRR19720 contributionsFun day out, but food and all inclusive drinks averageWe had a really fun day out on the Davy Jones 2 pirate ship, we had 2 swim stops, visit to the caves and visit to Turunc where there are bargains to be had. The reason for the three stars is that the all inclusive package basically consisted of watered down draft Tuborg and spirits. There were premium spirits and bottled beer available in a fridge but this was extra. The barman never had a fag out of his hand, even when pouring drinks which I found quite off putting (I'm a non smoker so maybe that might not bother others) Our lunch consisted of a piece of barbecued chicken breast, spaghetti and a tiny bit of salad, there were fries but they too were extra and you got about 10 fries on a small plate. Not really "all inclusive" anything decent had to be paid for. The foam party and dancing made it fun overallWritten September 22, 2024
- Seaside247221213980 contributionsA lovely day out in RhodesReally easy to book and no issues through passport control on either side. A lovely day out in Rhodes with a comfortable crossing.Written September 7, 2024
- SueL6800 contributionsSpectacular views and good valueVery good value trip with spectacular views and very friendly guide and boat staff. The mud baths were busy but it was possible to find a quiet spot if you wanted one. Turtle beach was similarly busy but big enough to take it. We did see wild turtles which was a bonus. The cliff tombs were spectacular, an amazing engineering accomplishment and the river and Dalyan were lovely. It was a long day and you cannot take your own food and drink on the boat but they did sell drinks and snacks - we've all got to make a living right! - lunch on the boat was tasty and we also sampled blue crab later in the day. A lot of travelling but a good value trip all in allWritten September 7, 2024
- kevinhZ7492HZ0 contributionsI think the saying goes. It's a pirate life for me & It definitely wasThe overall excursion was satisfactory, with the exception of some initial confusion regarding boat assignments. Upon boarding, we discovered that all the sun loungers were occupied, making it challenging to secure a seat. Despite this minor inconvenience, the actual trip proved to be quite enjoyable. The crew demonstrated great enthusiasm and entertainment skills, and even the cameraman was exceptionally helpful. The food was of high quality, served promptly and at an appropriate temperature, surpassing the standards of many restaurants. The music selection was excellent and encouraged participation from all attendees. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that everyone had a memorable experience, with a few individuals standing out for their exceptional service. The locations we visited were visually stunning, and the water was crystal clear, providing an excellent opportunity for swimming. However, for individuals with limited mobility, re-boarding the boat presented some challenges due to the round and small rungs on the ladder, making it difficult to maintain balance. Steps would have greatly facilitated this process. Additionally, general movement around the boat was effortless. In conclusion, we thoroughly enjoyed the excursion. I would advise taking this trip for anyone hereWritten September 2, 2024

- paule1020 contributionsAvoid Barkas BoatTraveled with a boat named Barkas and let me tell you if you want to end the day on a good note and your transport drops you off in front of this boat, turn right back around and ask for a refund. The trip started off well enough and we had a short swim break, we then moved on heading to turtle beach, again this was fine. Now is where things get interesting, as we got to the mud baths I asked for a locker or safe place to store valuables as this I was informed priot to the trip would be the case and told no problem! I raised this with a Barkas boat staff member who said just leave it by a bench, in full view of everyone present! As it was a see through water proof bag I informed him that this contained a lot of valuables I would not feel safe leaving out in the open, he kindly offered to hold onto it as we crossed the mudbath which only takes 15 minutes. Upon my leaving the mudbath, he was gone, likely to the river boats and so I was unable to pay for anything in the gift shop! Upon reaching the boat a few people were already there waiting, and my bag was there, I immediatly opened it to take out some change to run back to the shop only to find my walled had been cleared of all cash I jad jist withdrawn, thankfully no cards, mobiles or tablet e reader was taken. I raised this immediatly and the river boat captain said he hadent touched it. We got back to the Barkas Boat wjere I raised this with their staff, knowing there would be little that can be done bit to raise the issue, I jad also emailed the tour operator about this who responded immediatly. Now here is my issue, sure my fault for leaving the bag taking a stupid risk, and as the staff here depend on torlurism, I don't believe either the river boat captian stole the money, and upon speaking to the guests who arrived first back on the boat I was informed that the bag was already present left at the front with only the river boat captians son I presume, who served as some sort of entertainment and sails rep selling ice cream and drinks while on rout to and from the mud bath. Likely he was tempted and took his chance and it paid off, good for him! Anoy8ng though that when someone offers to look after something for you and then leaves it unguarded out in the open, had I know this was the case I would have skipped the mud bath and let the mother and children go. My problem here is that every where we went people are kind, here, knowing that I had just been robbed of all my cash didn't even offer as little as a bottle of water in this heat to my children. I guess business is business but for me this kills any prospect of ever going on this boat again amd making well sure no one on my circle does. Luckily I jad my digital wallet on my phone and paid for refreshments after moving some funds. Now we get to the cherry on top, I took the loss on tje chin, a little annoyed but it could of been worse, the phone and tablet were far nore important than the 2000.00 to 3500.00 TL lost. They brought out a parrot, and all the children ran to it to take photos, my two included, my son was jumping with joy and waited in line, striking tje parrot as it was passed from ha dler to other children, he was pushed aside twice to allow other children to take their photos, when my son was the last one in the line the handler walked away ignoring him. Not 5 minutes later they send a young boy with parrot photos and photos from the swimming, stop trying to sell them to us, the seiming photos were not proffesionally taken and I had taken better photos with a 10 year old Nikon coolpix AW120. I raised that we wanted parrot photos and my children were shooed away like some dog with rabies and then ignored when they both went up together to ask tje second time.Written August 27, 2024

- kaylouisek20240 contributionsAvoidThis was an experience and a half not even for the actual horse riding but the journey there on the road the driver nearly took us off the road! The whole mini bus gasped as we were very close to tipping over the edge of the mountain. Trust me I know people in Turkey drive fast but this was the most dangerous reckless thing I have ever experienced! When we got there to the stables we had to immediately lock our phones away so we could not take any photos whatsoever. You are then given a brief and asked who has ridden before etc. You are then walked over to the horses and given another brief of what not to do and what you should do and then off you go. You are told twice and the instructor even says it again keep your horse away from the horse in front however the horses have been trained to walk in a line and they are just constantly biting and kicking one another and if you are not an experienced horse rider there is nothing you can do as the horse just does whatever it wants to do. You get to walk through a river which is COATED in horse manure so if your footwear is covered in it and the bottom of your legs. You are asked constantly if you are ok which is nice that they check. When you get back to the stables you can buy the horses food which is £3 for one apple. Then you are pulled into a little room to be shown your photos which have been photoshopped and charged £40 per person to have your photos WhatsApp to you so as a family of 5 they wanted £200. We were offered £15 per picture which of course they make sure not to get a group photo so we would of had to buy 5 different pictures costing £75. When walking they keep you away from whoever you are in a group with which was a huge worry for me as my son who is 9 had never ridden a horse before was right at the front my partner right at the back and my daughter was somewhere in the middle. Another thing which was just a big blow was on the way back with the manic driver again my partner was talking to another family and they booked through a person on the beachfront and they paid £40 which was £20 for both adults and the kids went free. I however booked using TripAdvisor and paid £140 DO NOT USE TRIP ADVISOR TO BOOK EXCURSION AS THEY ARE QUARTER OF THE PRICE ON THE BEACHFRONT. My daughter was told that her horse was lazy and greedy and as punishment, it is made to run around outside in the heat non-stop for a few hours and this was for all the horses. One of the horses that just belonged to a worker there had a huge sore on its back which was an open wound. There is a baby donkey tied up to a pole in the middle of a field with no shade. Very sad that we have no pictures to remember this excursion as the price of the photos AGAIN is just ridiculous and you are physically made to lock your phones away.Written August 24, 2024
- sanders090 contributionsGreat visit to RhodesGreat day out to visit another country whilst on holiday! Can be a lengthy process at the port to check your passport, port fees security, But once passed all the normality the boat is air conditioned, has a bar on board for drinks and snacks. Takes about an hour or so each way, great way to view another country as you enter the waters, plenty to look at and see. You pull into the port in the Old Town of Rhodes, great to experience the little alleys surrounding the castle full Of shops, restaurants bars . Not too expensive.Written August 14, 2024

Booked via trip advisor as great price. Smooth communication from agent what’s app messaged with pick up times also if I had any other questions.
Agent replied within minutes.
Pick up was on time it was about 30 bus trip to small port where you catch the boat.
On board the boat it was very clean and tidy, staff friendly and explained everything about the day ahead.
Loads of places to sit and there was shade. The advert did state max 55 on the boat but this wasn’t the case not that it mattered.
You set sail in what all I can say is one of the most stunning areas ever with crystal clear waters.
We had two hours on cleopatras island which was heaven the time was perfect. It was stunning!! We snorkeled in the waters with all the fish. There are also free sun beds, and clean toilets.
Also it gave us time to walk around the island.
The only thing that I think was a little expensive was the entry fee to go onto the island 250lira each about £8. Even children. The boat is excellent as you can buy the ticket before you go on at the same price.
Once returning to the boat food is served which was very nice chicken pasta and salad with options of prawns fish chips payable to the boat. We had chips which where 100lira.
Bar is open with free cola, sprite Fanta tea and coffee.
The boat also had ice creams at 70lira which was cheap. As we did another boat and there where 100.
After lunch you stop at two other bays.
We loved this trip so did the children.
The only one thing they do not allow people to jump off the second floor of the boat which other boats where doing. My son really wanted to jump from the boat higher up like the other boats.
Once returning to the port bud was waiting to collect us again nice smooth transfer back.

It is very easy to book the Cleopatra boat trip online and is the lowest price guaranteed. The booking operative was very communicative and responsive to my questions online. The booking also included free cancellation upto 24 hours prior to the start of my booked trip.
On the contrary, when I booked another Marmaris boat trip via a local tour guide stationed in my hotel, the guide overcharged me £25 extra per person. After payment, I then found out my payment was non-refundable which was printed on the payment recipt. However, the guide never told me this non-refundale booking before I paid. The Marmaris trip was completely a waste of money and time. It was supposed to be a day market for shopping but there was no market at all, except some basic jshops. The sea situation was disappointing too. You might as well swim in any sea water.
I absolutely recommend this Cleopatra boat trip to everyone. It is money well worth paying for the boat trip and spending a day out there swimming in the crystal clear water. It was so beautiful and relaxing. The boat stopped at four different locations for swimming. Some were at a swallow water level and others were at deep sea level.
The lunch was delicious. However, we didn't like the Turkish tea which was too diluted. We enjoyed this well organised boat trip very much.

Fantastic trip, smooth and easy communication from the minute we booked. It was lovely to receive texts confirming our pick up time and when we got on the transfer bus we were told all about what the plan was for the day and which bus to get back on after the trip had finished. We had a lovely time on the boat and visited cleopatra island first - I was a little disappointed that we couldn't sunbathe on the sand and we spend 2 hours on the island and it would have been better if there was more time at the other swim spots as they were gorgeous, you could jump in, dive off the boat and swim in the caves and snorkel or swim and it was beautiful surroundings. I would highly recommend as it was a great boat trip with food and soft drinks included, the only additional cost was entry to cleopatra island which was just under £10 per person and any ice cream, chips or alcohol. Thank you guys!

This trip we found was a little missold so I'd like to explain as to why.
Firstly Cleopatra island is a bit of a wasted visit. The whole beach ( a small area of sand I wouldn't even call a beach) is approximately 15m long and 3m wide. It is blocked off by barriers and looked over by security. You cannot walk on it, touch it etc. All you can do is sit on uncomfortable splintering sun beds/ a small coned off area of water which is nothing exciting and you could achieve the exact same effect going to any other possible beach.
Good points,
Coach was on time picking us up. Boat trip was nice/ the swimming points were good fun. You stop at 3 points for 30 minutes each.
Lunch is what you would expect. We had a breaded chicken breast, spaghetti and some salad. Not the best but it gets you by. Chips can be purchased at an additional cost.
Key bad points:
All boat staff where grumpy. Bar was closed 90% of the trip eventhough it's mean to be (soft drinks all inclusive) when it reality you can only get drinks for a total time of 1 hour on the boat and the queue isn't the best.
Cleopatra island is a waste of time. Very small and very shabby + you have to pay £10 per person to walk around the island to the beach which is absolutely laughable personally.
To summarise it is a wasted trip and it was an experience but I would definitely never do it again

Overall this was a good trip, quality was not so good though. Beautiful views and a great experience. You have to pay an additional 300 Lira per person to get on to Cleopatra Island and you're there for almost 2 hours. The food was very disappointing and a very small meal, chicken schnitzel (the minced chicken type) with some spaghetti and lettuce. The unlimited drinks are not offered throughout the tour, they did offer a Diet Coke option which was a positive. Bring a water bottle to refill as the tiny cups are a pain.

The whole day was really good, the bus transfer was on time, and it was just a 50 minute drive to the harbour. After that we set off on the boat to the cleopatra island, note that there is a 300TL charge to enter the island, the price does not include that. The island itself is very beautiful and small, but the crystal clear waters are very worth it! We stayed on the island for just over 2 hours and then we set ashore again to 3 stops. At each stop we got to jump into the blue and teal waters and the scenery was beautiful as well. The food/lunch that was given was ok? Spaghetti was cold, and there was no BBQ it was just a piece of chicken with salad. But it was ok, filling enough. There was plenty of seats and sun beds on the boat for everyone to sit and relax or get a tan on. I highly recommend this trip!

An excellent day trip and we all enjoyed it. It was well organized and timing for everything was perfect. Nice crew on boat and great to get 4 swims in different places. We are happy!
Make sure you buy the entrance ticket to the island on the boat 300 Lira (not inc in your price) and do go for an explore around the island on the boardwalks.
We stopped in 4 places and had great fun jumping off the boat into the clear water, such a great way to spend a day.

Absolutely awful boat trip with many hidden extras.
The actual boat is terrible, you have to sit on not very comfy chairs, unless you want to try and get a 'sun lounger' upstairs, they are just mats attached to the floor. The smell from downstairs where the toilets are will turn you sick. The food is mediocre at best, and if you wants chips (which most kids do), that's an extra 150 lira each. The soft drinks are all inclusive, but I hope you like coke, fanta or sprite, and I hope you like full fat, the bar is barely open anyway, and even if you do get one it's basically in a shot glass.
There is an added charge to enter Cleopatra Island which is £12 each, this is after paying over £30 each for a ticket, and it's advertised as a Cleopatra Island Tour boat, but you get 2 hours on the island and if you go over your time then you have to find your own way back. The Island itself is absolutely beautiful, and the surroundings are spectacular, but you could swim in the sea for a much cheaper price with a different boat excursion.
Save your money and book something else, there are many other boat companies who will take you to just as nice of a beach and sea, for a much cheaper price, and they won't charge you for entering a bit of land that for the most part, you can't even walk on.
Stay well away from this absolute con and money grabbing excursion!!!!!

Blue seas and sunshine made for a beautiful day.
We were pleased the large ship out of a beautiful bay wasn’t full to capacity or it might have felt too much like a cattle truck.
As it was we had plenty of room on the top deck to lounge about and enjoy the short cruise over to Cleopatra island. The special sand is much lauded but it’s the beautiful blue bay, shallow water, and boarded walk around the island!s ancient ruins we enjoyed the most.
The lunch on board was great value and enjoyable food and the free flowing soft drinks welcome refreshment. The tour and stops to allow for more swimming and jumping off the boat a delight way to fill a relaxing day. The usual music was blaring.
Our hotel transfer was timely , comfortable short ride along the coast snd back with a friendly driver.

We never got to go on this trip. I was sent a map with my hotel on it asking if this was correct which I replied 'yes'. On the map was a rudimentary arrow drawn on by the provider which was where we were to meet. The map arrived half downloaded so it looked like the meeting point was our hotel as there was a big red icon on it such as you see on Google Maps. It is a 30 second walk from our hotel but after waiting 45 minutes they never arrived. 10 minutes later, I received a text from them saying "Good Morning". I replied 'good morning' and they went on to say they'd waited 10 minutes and we never showed up. It appears that we had waited at our hotel when we should have waited 30 seconds up the road where they'd apparently sat for 10 minutes waiting on us. You'd think that they could have made a quick call to us maybe thinking we were running late or something - it's 30 seconds from our hotel but apparently they didn't have time because they have "3000 guest a day". So they could find the time to message me "good morning" after they'd left without us but not a quick message or call to say we're at the meeting point?! If you are ever in Marmaris and want a boat trip, don't bother with this lot. Kept our money and don't care. Book with Chucky Yalcin Akbas instead. Such a lovely guy and goes above and beyond to accommodate. Was cheaper too!....
