Everything about this trip was perfect
My review starts with my initial enquiry. Ramazan responded to my initial email with a suggested itinerary and was so helpful all the way along even when we had a late change of hotel. The minibus pickup and the tour checkin were seamless and so day one began with an afternoon tour to Troy, followed by an overnight stay in Canakkale. Cindy was our tour guide for Troy and she was outstanding with exceptional knowledge of the area. Canakkale is a beautiful seaside town worthy of a trip on its own. Day 2 was the real purpose of the tour for me and my son (21). We met our guide Bülent at 8:15 for our short ferry ride back to Ecebat. We selected the private walking tour so we loaded up on water and started approx 9am. Visiting all the same ANZAC landmarks as the daily tour, our trip also included a 2 hour hike starting at Shrapnel Valley cemetery walking up to Plugges Plateau taking in 4th Battalion cemetery and finally coming out near Lone Pine, it was a tough walk but absolutely would recommend it for the experience and for the knowledge shared by Bülent. Visiting the Aus/NZ/English and of course Turkish memorials was humbling. Crowded House tours were just a delight to deal with and their guides are so knowledgeable and friendly. Anyone with an interest in history should definitely look these tours up and without a second thought use Crowded House tours.

Highly recommend - tour from Canakkale to Gallipoli
Awesome tour with Crowded House and the best guide Burak. We did the Gallipoli tour from Canakkale for the day, starting at 10.45am and ending around 5.30pm. Burak was awesome - so knowledgeable about Gallipoli and the history, and a very engaging guide with plenty of Aussie and Kiwi jokes that made the day really enjoyable. Well organised, interesting and informative tour - highly recommend.

        An amazing informative tour
The tour was an amazing and informative experience. We really got to dive deep into the history and conditions of the ANZACs and their fight in Gallipoli. Would highly recommend!

        Great Anzac Experience
Professionally run tour with Crowed House delivering everything like clockwork. A huge day with a 6.30am pick up and 9.30pm drop off. Moving experience with our guide providing a very detailed commentary.

SO worth the drive from Istanbul!
We were in two minds about booking a tour from Istanbul as it’s 4 hours each way but it was SO worth it! We were picked up at 6:15am and returned back at our hotel at 9pm. Our driver to and from Istanbul was friendly and attentive throughout our journey. The stops on the way to and from the tour were perfectly timed. Our guide, Burak, throughout the tour of Gallipoli, was absolutely fantastic! His level of knowledge and passion was impressive and he was highly engaging. He also had a great sense of humour and enjoyed getting to know everyone throughout our tour. We learnt so much throughout the day and felt very emotional walking where the soldiers fought and lost their lives. I would highly recommend doing this day trip, even though it’s a long drive, it will definitely be a day to remember!

Highly recommend using Crowded House Tours
We had a wonderful experience with Crowded House Tours. We learned so much from our amazing tour guide, Cagri Tok, who was so passionate about teaching us all he could about Turkey's incredible history. Communication was excellent regarding all logistical details. I would not hesitate to use Crowded House Tours again for my next trip to Turkey.

It was a really good tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour really interesting with his wit. Personally, I was not impressed with the food and options available. However, you don’t sign up for this tour for the food but rather for the history. Just pack some snacks along and you would be fine.

        Well.run and very enjoyable tour
We took the 2 day Gallipoli and Troy tour from Istanbul with an overnight in Canakkale. Crowded House provided great communication when we arranged our tour and accommodation and the tour was very well organised including splitting and reassembling groups depending on the participants travel and tour choices. Our driver Halil showed his skill in negotiating the streets in Istanbul and provided a comfortable ride to Eceabat. For the Gallipoli tour our guide Bulent was very knowledge and provide a great understanding of the campaign from the ANZAC and Turkish perspectives. We overnighted at the Grand ANZAC hotel which was clean, friendly and comfortable (if a little old and tired). After lunch time we were picked up for our Troy tour with a second guide, Burak. Burak is a laugh,  super engaging, knows a bit about every nationality's quirks and also passionate and knowledgeable about Troia (Troy). The ancient history of the city as well as the history of it's archealogical exploration is fascinating and gives a great perspective on the achievements of the ancient world (and stupidities of the modern one). The only part of the tour which could do with a little work is the included lunch on the first day which was a bit bland and dry and could have been used as an opportunity to show off the great local food. I'd highly recommend the overnight tour - the first day from Istanbul to Gallipoli and then over to Canakkale was long enough, but those going back to Istanbul that same night must have been exhausted. Overall it was a great experience and I'd definitely recommend anyone looking for smooth, well run, enjoyable tours in the area to book with Crowded House. Thanks Halil, Bulent and Burak (writing this on the way back to Istanbul.in complete faith that Halil will get us there in one piece 😄).

        Speechless … must do experience
My experience with Crowded House Tours on my trip to Gallipoli was truly unforgettable. From the moment I was picked up at my hotel to meeting our knowledgeable host and gaining a deeper understanding of Gallipoli beyond what movies portray, every moment was exceptional. Our fantastic host, Borak (I hope I got the spelling right), was a treasure trove of information, laughter, and warmth, transforming what is usually a somber place into a delightful and engaging visit. I am immensely grateful to Crowded House for providing such a remarkable and enlightening experience. Thank you for creating unforgettable memories.

Galipoli tour not to be missed
We are currently on a 12 day crowded house tour which has been outstanding so far but today visiting Galipoli was exceptional. The tour guide Burak was able to gain information regarding my grandfather who faught at Galipoli and was injured. The entire family are so appreciative to get the history, photos and a copy of a letter sent on his behalf. Talk about going above and beyond! He included everyone in the bus, had a great sense of humor, we are overwhelmed at such an incredible outcome! Thankyou so much! Helen

Totally worthwhile trip - thoroughly recommend
6.30am hotel pick up in comfy air conditioned mini van. Interesting driving through Istanbul out onto the highway driving past the coastal towns, beaches and beautiful fields of sunflowers. 1.5hrs into the drive stopped at roadside cafe for bathroom and refreshment break for 30 minutes. Ecabet for lunch which was included in tour price - 1 hour stop so time to wander along by the water and see an amazing life-size reconstruction display of soldiers in the trenches and bronze statue - worth taking the short before getting onto your allocated mini van for the tour (12.30pm). We visited all the significant sites for the Gallipoli campaign which our guide Burak spoke knowledgeably about and had a booklet of maps and photos. We were never rushed however kept to a schedule to ensure we got to where we needed when we needed to. He was well versed in English and could speak well with an Aussie accent - told heaps of jokes and about Aussies and NZers who made up most of the guests - lots of laughs. He had a great sense of humour. Tour ended at Chunak Bair 4pm and back to Ecabet where we had short wait for the mini van to take us back to our hotel in Istanbul by 9pm, again stopping for 30 minute break half way back. Well organised, friendly and efficient staff. Would thoroughly recommend and instead of the 17 hour day we expected it was 14.5 hours so even better. Thank you Burak and our drivers.

Road safety was a concern.Cateless manoeuvres by tour guide & driver.
The guide was good and knowledgeable for the Gallipolli part however he would focus on one or maybe two tourists and basically giving his attention to them rather than the group as a whole. The next day we had a different guide for Troy and he was very good, knowledgeable & attentive to all on the group. We then changed buses and the driver drove to Permagon for a few hours where he suddenly stopped on the freeway/highway whereby the tour guide jumped onto the small bus. It was a rather dangerous manoeuvre putting us at risk if an accident if some kind and secondly we had no idea what was happening. We were then driven to a place that makes and sells rugs and we're shown a demonstration of rug making process. This was very good however was not stated in the itenary and which did take a lot if our time and then by the time we got to Pergamon we were rushed by the tour guide as we had to leave for Kusadasi. Again the tour guide was dropped off at Izmir in the middle of the Highway again putting everyone at risk of an accident.

        Excellent day trip- very moving
Awesome trip with Crowded House. Great modern vehicle with air con. ( only recommendation would be to add wifi). Communication from start to end excellent- important for me as a solo traveller over 60. Our Tour Guide Hasan was a star. Excellent knowledge of this war involving NZ, Australia, Britain and Turkey. His picture booklet was great. We got taken across 10 sites and each were explained. If you get him, you will be lucky!. Transition township where we had lunch well organized also. Everything ran to time. Would highly recommend- Natalie New Zealand

We took a full day tour to Troy and Gallipolli, but each on two different days, because we stayed in Canakkale. Both days we were lucky to get Burak as our tour guide. Burak is an experienced professional tour guide. He does not only know all the answers to your questions, but he also knows all your questions before you make them.
The only thing we did not understand was lunch at 11.30 which was too early for us, but I think the day was organized like this because the Gallipolli tour takes several hours.
Recommended if you are interested in history.

As part of the Viking Tour via the Viking Sky ship, my wife & I had made a choice of a tour of Troy and the port of Canakkale when the ship docked there. The land tour was through Tura Turizm and the tour guide was a brilliant guy named Ibo. He had a fantastic knowledge and passion not only for the history of Troy but also for the memorial sites for the ill-fated Gallipoli campaign that resulted in a huge loss of life in The First World War which we could see on the hillside when we arrived back at Canakkale. He was really charasmatic which made the infomation he was imparting even more interesting. If you get the opportunity to visit the site of Gallipoli, Canakkale & Troy, besure to ask for Ibo. He had the ease of a seasoned historian but with relaxed personality that made the entire experience unforgettable. Attached 4 photos of the day, there were so many more taken at the site of Troy, too many to choose from.

Went on the Gallipoli tour which was really good! Had such an awesome guide, Burak 😊. Who was very knowledgeable. Was about a 4.5hr drive each way from Istanbul, stopped for brekkie, and gave us a lunch. Went into the tour not knowing much and left having such a better understanding of what really happened in 1915 and how much respect each side had for eachother. Very engaging and such a great experience. Lots of stops to the various points of the battle. Would highly recommend

Crowded House tours are really organised. Our first guide for Troy was very knowledgeable about the history and the myths. It was a fantastic morning. Then we went across for the Gallipoli tour which was equally informative and very powerful. Burak is a highly energetic guide who is passionate about this part of history. Both parts highly recommended

We went on the morning private Gallipoli tour with Cagri (Charlie) and afternoon group tour of Troy with Ibrahim (Ibo). Both guides were wonderful, very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Charlie even had old photos of various locations at Gallipoli to compare during the tour. Both men take a lot of pride in their work and go to lengths to make it enjoyable (Charlie is further a tourism inspector showing his dedication).

The company itself is also fabulous. We booked the tours before travelling to Turkey, through whatsapp with Bhutan. He was so wonderful, he even helped to book a tour to Pammukale after we left Canakkale, and helped arranged transfers to our hotel in Kusadasi. They were all so lovely to deal with, we cannot recommend them enough
