- stacylK4888DA0 contributionsFun with Funda in Ephesus!Absolutely the way to go. We came to this port twice. We did a “panoramic tour” through our cruise ship and it was terrible. I booked this one independently the next time and it was a night and day difference. Our tour guide was Funda. She was fantastic and led according to our interests. The City of Ephesus is the thing to see. I want to come back and book Funda again and have her take us to the “Terrace Section” of Ephesus. If you can, book a tour with Funda and go for the extra $15 and time to include that section. Highly recommend no matter what you choose. This tour was exactly as described, safe, clean, and fun!Written February 6, 2025

- vanidav20250 contributionsA Turkish Delight(ful) TourBooked this tour last minute with GetYourGuide and was pleasantly surprised. Our guide, Ugur, was amazing. We were his first group of the season (6 people total) and he did not disappoint! Ugur was completely knowledgeable and thorough. He and his driver took us to Ephesus, gave us the option of going to the Virgin Mary's house (we skipped it), stopped by an absolutely beautiful ceramics shop (super talented artists) before heading to The Temple of Artemis. Afterwards, we arrived at a carpet weaving store where we learned how the Turkish handmade rugs were made and how they make their silk fibers - very intriguing! Lunch there was also included in the tour (entrance fee to Ephesus (40 euros) and drinks were paid) - it was fresh and delicious Turkey "tapas". After lunch, before we headed back to the cruise port, I told Ugur I wanted to get some Turkish delights and so we made a special shop at one of his favorite places for olive oil and treats. We were never rushed and yeah, the ceramics and carpet men were doing their sales pitch but they were never overly pushy. Overall, incredible time!Written February 1, 2025

This was a great day trip, takes about 45 mins to get up into the mountains but once you are there its a lot of fun & the staff really make it. The water fights were really fun, you hire the guns for 1 or 2 Euro's each and then stop along the way for water fights with the other Jeeps. Nice food at lunchtime apart from there were a lot of wasps. The kids loved the trip and we would definitely recommend it, stopped for a swim in some caves on the way to long beach. Unfortunately we didnt make it to long beach as our cruise was leaving but they made sure they got us back in time to board. Great fun

The only reason I haven’t rated it 5 stars was because I paid for the usb stick and when we got home there were no images of the first half of our trip (Zeus cave) which we were really looking forward to seeing.
The safari overall though was a great day out and very well priced. Great tour guides with great food too!

It was really fun. The guides were really cool and funny and did a lot to make us have fun. We saw a lot of cool and fascinating places in the national park. Also we did multiple water fights sich left us soaking wet but were reallyyy funny. The barbecue was nice and the food was fresh and delicious. Die Zeus Cage was very interesting, the water was freezing but crystal clear. Would absolut recommend

We found it quite commercial tour. At the first stop, you are almost obliged to buy a dust mask or scarf at 3 euros each, when you could also have reported this in advance. Afterwards, it is especially important that they can take their camera footage and you will be performed exactly in a show. Little safari feeling. Cigarette butts everywhere: old monastery, beach, ... food was in Miami beach, but that place dated from the 80s I'm afraid. Food was limited, no drinks included. If you want a plate of fries you pay 6 euros... In short, a tourist dairy. Not recommended.

We did the jeep safari at the beginning of May 2024 with our family (three children aged 14, 13 and 10). The first stop was at Zeus' cave and that was definitely a nice start to the day. The cave looks almost magical and is ideal for beautiful photos and a refreshing dip in mineral water.
The rest of the day could have been a bit more active and more jeep safari. We simply drove up the highest mountain in Kusadasi (750 meters) on a dusty semi-paved road. We stopped to make an echo with a loud scream and to take beautiful pictures, and to dance and have a water fight at a well somewhere. Further up the mountain we stopped at an 11th century monastery (very beautiful and photogenic) to enjoy the BBQ later. Then back down the same way to have a drink at a Beach Restaurant and enjoy the sun. Then back to the hotel.
All in all we had a nice day and the kids really enjoyed it (which is the most important thing). The drivers are also really nice people who like to joke, don't drive dangerously and there are English, German and Polish speaking drivers, but we expected a bit more action (more off-road, through a river or a bit more dust collecting).

Jeep MISADVENTURES!!!
The tour was called "adventures in the villages of Kusadasi and a panoramic tour". For 2 and a half hours we took a Jeep tour through the remote countryside, seeing only olive trees, stones and blackberries. In the last half hour, we saw the statue of the Virgin Mary, the ancient city of Ephesus but at such a distance that we didn't know where to look. To conclude, before taking us to visit the beach, one of the Jeeps breaks down, the other two continue on to the beach. Once we get there, the guides let us off and disappear with their cars to help the other Jeep, in the meantime a storm arises. After about 20 minutes they return but one of the cars sinks on the beach. All in all, the commitment of the guides and the characteristic super good lunch are to be appreciated.

This was such a fun day for us (might have been more fun for us because we brought our own drinks and bought more along the way lol)
Speedy was a fantastic tour guide full of energy and very eager to help and make sure you were having a good time.
The cave stop was a bit underwhelming but it was still cool to see - little place there were you can buy some wears or drinks. Then it was a fun ride up into the mountains (but very dusty so bring sunglasses or something as I didn't and my contacts had a tough time for awhile there). There was a stop for some included cut up fruit and bread etc at a store with a bathroom along the way.
The stop for dancing and the water fight was a blast as well! If you don't want to take part, you don't have to, but I got completely soaked which was great as it was pretty hot out.
The bbq lunch up in the forest we thought was very tasty...the meat patties they make had a ton of flavour. We skipped the tour up there to something in the bush, so we just had a nice time relaxing - then the final stop was the beach club where you can just chill on lounge chairs for an hour or so and you can also purchase drinks there (maybe food too? Not sure as we weren't looking for any).
Overall, fantastic value for money on this one for an 7-8 hour day! Would highly recommend if in Kusadasi.

The Jeep Safari does not involve a great deal of quality activities to be honest and could easily be a half day trip. Enjoyed the cave and swimming in the dark cave pool. The monastery was a bit of let down, as was the echoing valley and beach visit, as it is where most of the hotels are. The guides tried hard to fill the voids and the water fights while travelling was good, but stopping for the additional water fight and random dancing was unnecessary. It was fun at times but nothing compared other Jeep Safaris I have been on in Turkey.

Fun jeep tour for all ages. Water fights cooled us off and the lunch was amazing. Cave and beach were nice as well. The guides were very friendly and their English was excellent. They gave a great description of the monastery and explained some history to tie it all together. They also took a lot of photos and a few videos that are available for purchase. Highly recommended.

Good driver and pick up time! But food was awful not much of it! The Miami Beach was also awful we sat in jeep instead! You had to be really fit to visit Zeus caves so we didn’t do that either so all in all disappointed

Hi, we are staying at the tui blue Ephesus hotel and would love to book the jeep safari trip for next week. Do you pick up from this hotel? Also are you still doing the water guns as I’ve heard a lot of the jeep safaris are not at the moment due to low capacity of people wanting to go on trips. Thanks in advance e
Written August 13, 2020
Yes they do pick you up from the hotel and take you back once done. Cannot answer about the water guns but ask when booking. This is a must so don’t go on unless they do have them.
