About
Leaving Antalya early in the morning, you'll arrive at Lake Salda after a few hours' scenic drive. It's been compared to the Maldives for its long white beaches and multi-toned blue waters. You'll have free time to take some photos of this otherworldly spot. We'll head to Pamukkale for lunch. Afterwards, catch a peek of the bright white calcite terraces – they look like icy stalactites dripping from pools of sky-blue water.
At the top of these travertines is Hierapolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through the Byzantine Gate and marvel at the ruins as you stroll towards the vast bowl-shaped theatre. It's epic. Then relax with a dip in the warm water of Cleopatra's Ancient Pool, where you swim among ancient columns. Dinner in a forest restaurant on the way back is included. What's more, for every sale of this experience, there's a donation to CYDD, a charity that helps in the education of underprivileged children in Turkey.

About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Kaylie G0 contributionsGreat Boat TripWe booked this directly through our rep at the hotel as another boat trip had been cancelled without notice. We are a family of three with a 7-year-old, we were picked up at our hotel at 0740 in Belek. We did not get to the boat until gone 10 am due to other hotel pick-ups and the driver did not know exactly where he was going. We left the port at about 1030/11am and returned at 1530. The boat trip was lovely we sat down stairs at table and chairs and upstairs was plastic mats under shade. The three swim stops were great and it was very clear and snorkelling was fantastic. There were life jackets if needed and a fresh water shower which was nice to use after the swims. My 7-year-old had no trouble getting a life jacket there was plenty and we took our own snorkelling/googles. Food was fish/chicken breaded chicken breast more like a big chicken nugget, rice/pasta, salad, and bread roles which was all edible. Drinks were included, you had to pay for ice cream and crisps. the vibe on board was relaxed. Overall, we enjoyed the boat trip, there was an English-speaking guide who was very informative pointing out points of interest. The scenery was beautiful and the staff friendly. There were photographers on board called "paparazzi" who charged for the photos they took if wanted. When it was time to get back on the bus it was a long walk back following the guide. The bus took another two hours to get back to our hotel as we were unfortunately the last drop off! we really enjoyed the boat trip; we did not enjoy the 4hr plus hours on the bus! with inadequate air conditioning!Written August 22, 2023
- 898lyns0 contributionsPhaselis & Tahtali Mountain LONG Day TourDon't book this trip unless you are prepared to spend hours on a coach picking up at other hotels! We were based in Side and were picked up at 7.15am, we then travelled to the centre of Antalya where we waited for a transfer coach. We then spent another 2 hours picking up other guests. Once everyone was on board it was clear that the majority of the guests were not English and their guide spent the rest of the journey to Phaselis talking very loudly on the microphone and our poor guide couldn't get a word in edgeways. Once at Phaselis, which is lovely, our guide was finally able to find his voice and explained in great detail all about the site. We then travelled to the cable car on our ride up to the top and lunch. If you are claustrophobic this is not for you as they cram as many people in as possible. Lunch was pre-ordered for us and was passable. The journey down in the cable car was again pretty crammed. Luckily, after complaining to our guide, he was able to arrange a transfer straight back to Side without us having to make all the hotel stops. We were very grateful to him. He did say that he didn't understand why TUI sold this experience to guests in the Side area as it really is too far to travel and we totally agreed. Note to TUI, if you are going to continue to sell this excursion, I suggest that you arrange for coaches to transfer people straight to Phaselis & Tahtali Mountain.Written May 18, 2023
