- Trek157449452360 contributionsGreat day!It was a great day out on a boat fishing, Jo the deckhand was very helpful and cooked a fantastic yummy lunch! Lots of little fish caught, would be perfect for families with kids! The only downfall was out transport to and from the wharf with our driver going to 3 wrong hotels to pick people up and him picking up a hitch hiker on the way back, which I thought was a little bizarre! Overall a great day and would highly recommend.Written September 12, 2024
- 129pollyg0 contributionsExcellent day out at the Anthong Marine ParkThe trip was excellent value for money. All the staff were super helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and we felt safe at all times. The trip was very smoothly timed and organised - we didn’t feel rushed and lunch was delicious! Constantly offered water and cola which was so appreciated. Amazing trip to see the beautiful Marine park - would highly recommended Mr Tu toursWritten September 12, 2024
- 245valeryr0 contributionsGreat private tourWe took the tour on Aug 31st and it was only me and my boyfriend. We are so grateful they did not cancel the tour and were still able to get us through the whole experience. Our tour guide picked us up at our hotel and drove us through a lot of local farming fields and always making sure to provide great local facts. The raft house hotel was better than what I was expecting. There is only a ceiling fan but this was enough as it was not hot during the night. All food was exceptionally great and abundant. Cheow lake is such a beautiful lake and it is worth visiting.Written September 10, 2024

- Stevensfam4travels0 contributionsFun & informative cooking classFun & informative cooking class! The teacher and staff were extremely helpful. Nice options to choose from, although would have liked Phad Thai as an option. Great ingredients though- very fresh & locally sourced. You choose 4 dishes as a group which was a little surprising since we were paired with a larger group. We worked it out though. Also, in the group there were vegetarians and some with allergens and they were extremely accommodating to all providing great suggestions for options. A fun way to spend an evening. Prepared to be full and takeaway for later enjoyment!Written September 5, 2024

- Pathfinder5638750 contributionsBest Thai cooking class and experienceWe had a wonderful time at Chef Apple's Thai cooking class. Her expertise and enthusiasm made learning both fun and easy. We explored a local market, cooked classic dishes like Pad Thai, and enjoyed a delicious meal together. Apple's personal stories and tips added depth to our cooking experience. Highly recommend this immersive and enjoyable class! We are family of 6. All the family live it. Suggest to Come hungry 😀Written August 30, 2024
- goandude0 contributionsConvienient way to travel from Hua Hin to Koh Phanang/ Koh Samui islandsThe bus started from Lomprayah office in downtown Hua Hin. We were told to report 15 mins prior to departure which was scheduled for 0845. Our luggage was tagged for Koh Phanang with orange tags and the others were tagged with different colors depending on where you are alighting. The bus took us to Chumphon jetty where we alighted and waited for the ferry. The journey to Chumphon took about 3.5 hours. The bus was comfortable BUT the toilet was extremely stinky and the smell permeated the whole bus. While waiting at the jetty we bought lunch of which there was a wide variety of Thai and western type of food. Then when our boat was ready, we boarded and our luggage was kept separately. The Catamaran ferry was fast, GPS clocked it at 49 kmph, and we reached Koh Phangan after dropping off people at 2 islands at 1600h.Written August 29, 2024

- SebastianSimSS0 contributionsA Gastronomically Fun Time!Such a great experience for our trip to Krabi! Started with a pick up direct from our villa. We were the only students so we had all the attention from Chef Mew! She was sweet, kind, attentive and patiently imparted her knowledge of Thai cooking to us! She and the staff even prepared a little birthday surprise for my girlfriend and presented her with a birthday gift! Truly a memorable experience plus a digital cookbook to continue dishing out our Thai favs when we get home! Highly recommend!Written August 21, 2024
- JasperCatRip0 contributionsHorrible experienceThis was just such an awful experience. We boarded at Railay and got off at Phuket. It was hot which is expected, but no breeze as no air can flow through the sealed windows. Think squished shoulder to shoulder with others and sweat from strangers everywhere. can’t see out, even though we asked to sit up front where my husband can see so he didn’t get sick, reception told us that would be ok, but at second stop we all as to sit down the back next to the motors with black smoke and fumes all we could breathe in. No view you just sit looking at the people opposite you who seem equally uncomfortable. I would not do it again that is certainWritten August 20, 2024
- MichaelHealy12340 contributionsHorrible Service! This boat is a terrible service. If you have a red Phuket sticker they say you have a free transfer, went in fact they make you pay 400 baht per person! Absolutely ridiculous, I would not recommend them to anyone. Do yourself a favour and spend your money elsewhere!Written August 20, 2024
- Quest6679870 contributionsVery enjoyable and good value for moneySuper day out and very well organised. 'Sunshine' our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and spoke good English. The crew were great also, making sure we're safe and well hydrated. The day is quite long and it takes about an hour to get to/from the islands but we'll worth it. Very pleasant lunch buffet with plenty for all. A large boat carrying about 40 passengers, but certainly not over-crowded. Good value for money and highly recommended.Written August 20, 2024

We booked this very last-minute and were SO pleasantly surprised by the experience!!
The tours were terrific, Jasmine (our guide) was really helpful. The tour offering was really unique for this US tourist and a truly memorable experience. The river bungalows were air conditioned and clean. The raft house was a most unique experience --- allow yourself some time at the end of the day to get a glass of wine and watch the sunset. The location allows for a most-perfect viewing.
There are a few suggestions I'd like to offer to make your experience really satisfying:
1. bring a copy of your itinerary --- the tour might rearrange some visits for good reasons (weather, construction, etc) and your guide may not be as fluent in your language as you might hope. So to have a copy on hand to share and review together will help you both communicate more clearly.
2. make sure you bring local currency --- many places in Thailand do not accept credit cards. So if you want any beer or wine during your trip, you will need cash.
3. plan for enough cash to have at the end of the trip to be able to tip your guide -- our guide was dropped off near her town en route to our hotel and we were glad to have planned ahead.
4. don't bring luggage --- it will be very inconvenient in the lodging areas. The bungaloes are raised one story so the stairs would be difficult to navigate with traditional luggage; and the raft house on Cheow Lan is entirely on pontoons. Recommend you leave it with your hotel and pack just your necessities in a duffle.
