- 734jans7340 contributionsGreat wine-tasting tour.Delightful way to spend a morning by touring the countryside and seeing a great endeavour - Monsoon Valley Vineyard and the Mongkol Temple.Written December 10, 2024
- ivok7610 contributionsA+ experienceElephants were beautiful and there was many of them there. There were also different kind of birds and buffalo. Tour guides were very helpful and professional.Written December 9, 2024
- Misch S0 contributionsGreat trip to Nationalpark, below standard dinning possibilityNice trip, great careful driver, informative guide for the Nationalpark. The restaurant for dinner doesn‘t correspond to the level of the rest of the trip. Average, not Thai food, situated next to the highway, with a mediocre setting. It just doesn‘t add up.Written November 18, 2024
- H847KJjonass0 contributionsGreat trip to Kui BuriThe trip to the national park was a great experience. We got picked up at our hotel and on the 1.5 hour drive to Kui Buri the guide had a lot of interesting/humourous information about the surroundings. At the park we did have that much luck with spotting elefants until we managed to see three elefants last minute. But even if we would not have encountered any elefants, I would definitely recommend the trip because the guide made it very interesting!Written October 11, 2024
- 844jaynew0 contributionsA worthwhile excursionA very pleasant trip. Well organised. Nice minibus and an excellent guide who spoke good English. A great way to explore somewhere a bit different to Hua Hi. Highly recommended.Written October 11, 2024
- Explorer107042353350 contributionsFun 1/2Great 1/2 day excursion. Comfortable mini bus with cold AC. Picked up from the property we were staying in a timely manner. Our guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. The cave was mystical. Good idea to wear slip resistant shoes while on this part of the tour. A good many steps and slippery rocks. Nothing too crazy, but you needed to watch where you were stepping. The castle was like stepping back in time. The lunch was authentic, fresh, and deliciousWritten October 10, 2024
- mjbrichardson0 contributionsA truly memorable safariThis was a really special trip. We were picked up from our hotel in a comfortable van by our driver Mr. Yonk. The drive to the park was easy and pleasant, and then we transferred to an open safari truck to drive through the park. It was very quiet in the park the day we visited - hardly any visitors at all. Looking at previous reviews, and based on my own experience of wildlife safaris in Africa, it's clear that you need a moderate slice of luck to be able to see the elephants - after all they are wild animals living in a big national park not a zoo enclosure - but the success rate seems to be pretty high overall. And we got really lucky. The first indication that we would have a lucky day was almost as soon as we entered the park we saw a great many hornbills flying overhead and through the trees. Apparently this is quite unusual - they are more usually seen later in the day, on leaving the park. We also saw other beautiful birds, such as a kingfisher. Within a few minutes we caught our first glimpses of a group of elephants, and as we tracked them we eventually ended up in the perfect spot, where we were able to exit the vehicle and view them pretty close-up on foot for at least 30 minutes. The landscape in the park is truly spectacular, and even though I've been lucky enough to see elephants in Africa up close many times, this was a uniquely beautiful experience that I won't forget, seeing these majestic and serene animals in this paradise. We also saw large numbers of gaur, which are also majestic and fascinating animals in their own right, but the elephants are certainly the stars of the show here. This was a really memorable trip that exceeded expectations. We also hired the same company to take us on a long excursion from our hotel on check-out day to Ayutthaya, and then onwards to the airport. Again they were outstanding with kind and professional service. Mr Yonk also took lots of photos on both days - both with my camera for family group shots, and with his own phone, which he shared with me afterwards. He really helped me get a great collection of memorable images from the two days.Written September 30, 2024

- chrispcobbold0 contributionsLast minute visit to summer palaceWe booked the tour last minute and thanks to the speedy response of the tour operator we were confirmed very quickly. The tour included the summer palace and visits to caves and a temple located in the town. The guide was very professional and gave us invaluable knowledge on the culture and history of the places we visited. Would thoroughly recommend as the organisation of the tour operator and guide were second to noneWritten August 13, 2024
- chrispcobbold0 contributionsA rewarding well worthwhile day out to the cavesThis is a great experience and thoroughly recommended. The guide was great and very flexible to adapt the tour to our pace. We also had a lovely lunch which was very tasty. Just one point, the highlight of the tour is the cave , reaching it requires strong legs, knees and ankles and a good pair of trainers! A lovely day out.Written August 11, 2024

We were collected from our hotel and the whole excursion was ran very smoothly. Our driver and guides were very happy to answer our many questions as we traveled around park and we learned about the agriculture, culture and landscape as well as lots about the wildlife. We finished with a lovely traditional dinner on the way back to the hotels. Great experienceWritten August 7, 2024

1. Transport - picked up on time; comfortable air-conditioned van; driving time around 90 minutes (including pick-ups of 9 people); good driver; vehicle had lap-belts
2. Meals - water provided in van; lunch at restaurant included in price - very tasty (drinks extra)
3. Cave walk - sea was too rough to allow boat transfer from car park so had to walk to the start of the cave path (took about 10-15 minutes over a small hill; good steps and footing); walk to cave over another small hill took a about 10-15 minutes and again, good steps and footing (N.B. I am above-average fitness and walk fast); I also had hiking poles which were very useful for stability)
4. Cave - I come from New Zealand where we have an abundance of limestone caves so overall was a bit underwhelming (but still glad I went)
5. Fishing village - had a brief ride up and down the river in one of the classic Thai motorized boats (only to the river mouth and back) which was good
6. Pineapple plantation - on the way back stopped on the roadside at a pineapple plantation where the tour guide gave a brief talk about the plantation (about 15 minutes)
7. Tour guide - very knowledgable, personable and spoke good English

The tour was just as promised and out guide shared a lot of history with us as we visited the cave and the monument constructed in it. The cave itself has interesting rock formations. While not a particularly long hike up the mountain and the trail being covered by the natural canopy, this hike should be considered strenuous due to the heat and humidity. All tour guides were checking on everyone on the trail, even from different tours. We learned that there had been several medical emergencies recently. It would be wise to bring some additional water. If you don't need it, someone else will appreciate your sharing. The monkeys along the path were adorable and not aggressive. The views were breathtaking. We were able to arrive by boat and didn't have to walk over another mountain to reach the trail to the cave. There is a restaurant at the trail head and it was typical prices for food and drinks. Inside the park the restrooms are free.

We booked this trip with the premise of seeing the cave, this was the only reason we booked it. The agent informed us the day before that the trip might be cancelled due to bad weather. On the morning of our trip, the weather was terrible however, the trip went ahead. No cave visit! We went on a boat trip it was not very uneventful or exciting and went to a temple which was probably the worst temple I’ve ever seen in Thailand. Went to see the Lotus pond, was very pleasant however was not a cave. All in all very disappointing and very expensive for what we actually saw.

Hello dear guest. I am sorry that you did not like this tour and we had to change the tour program due to weather conditions. Unfortunately we can not give a weather guarantee and the weather sometimes changes hourly or there are rain showers during the tour. We called the National Park in the morning before you were picked up and the weather was still normal at that time and the National Park opened. When the guide picked you up, he told them that it might be necessary to change the tour if the weather changed. He also offered to cancel or postpone the tour. That's all we can do.

It was a highlight of our vacation! Extremely polite and courteous guide, as well as a good minibus driver. We were picked up from the hotel on time and on the way to the cave or the boat, we were shown and explained a lot about the surrounding area. They also made sure that everyone in the group was able to climb up and down the stairs easily. After the tour, we were given an excellent meal, even special vegetarian food. 🙏🏻

This trip is worth doing because the cave is spectacular. We had a nice guide. We had a brief stop at a pineapple field and a fishing village before getting on a boat for a short journey around the headland to the beach. A hot and sweaty walk for about 30 minutes up and down rocky steps to get to the cave. The cave is stunning. We spent about 30 minutes at the cave, plenty of time for photos, before a hot and sweaty return to the beach. Lunch was provided at the local restaurant. A few minutes to relax on the beach before heading back on the boat and in the van.

The cave tour is a fantastic way to spend the day. With that being said, there is quite a bit of hiking in order to achieve your goal. If you are not from a humid climate, factor that in as well. There are outlooks along the path where you can stop and rest and get pictures. If there has been rain in the area recently, some of the areas can be quite slippery. There are typically handrails in these areas. I saw people wearing flip flop sandals all the way up to lite hiking boots, so you will have to decide on foot wear. Once in the cave and temple area, take a moment and relax and enjoy the sight. Remember, this was built in 1890. The way out is the same way in, just in reverse.
Take water, take time and enjoy.

Everything about this excursion was amazing. The hike up is a moderate one but well worth the finish line! The lunch they served was delicious and no one left hungry. The last hr or so we got to just hang out on the beautiful semi deserted white sand beach and hunt for shells. Perfect in everyway! Highly recommend... THANK YOU!
