        Not worth while
Not representative for spice farms in Zanzibar ! A lot of garbage so Not worth a stop over, better to go anywhere else than here.

We booked a tour on the Riu Palace Beach to stone town and we had the best experience. Very friendly guy, and then the driver and the tour guide were very professional. Couldn’t recommend it more!

        BEST EXPERIENCE ZANZIBAR 2023
We did every activity with Mawingu and his team, everything went flawless! Don’t believe the hotel staff when they tell you not to go near the beach boys. We did Mikumi Safari which was perfect, we also got to see two big male lions which is rare. Our guide took a detour to see them up close, which was very nice. The Blue Safari was also good, we got to see a sandbank where we were able to sit, relax, swim and tan for a while. After that we moved to Kwale Island, and island where you can buy a lot of souvenirs. There we saw one of the biggest Babuy trees. Unfortunately we had no luck with the blue lagoon, as the tide was low at that moment. However we did see the mangrove that’s in the lagoon, so in both cases it’s worth the watch! We did the Spice Farm, Jozani Forest and Kuza Cave privately in 1 day. This was an amazing day, the Spice Farm was surprisingly fun! We bought a bunch of organic spices for back home. We also got to see a local climb a coconut tree which is astounding! At the Jozani Forest we saw beautiful monkeys, they come very close to you and they’re not scared either. You shouldn’t be either, they are very friendly! The Kuza Cave was spectacular, you can swim in natural non salt water, fresh from the ground. This is a beautiful place to take pictures and videos. Last but not least, we did Mnemba Island first and Jetski in the afternoon. Mnemba Island was so beautiful, we also got to swim up close with dolphins and snorkled with amazing fish. This is very recommended, if you are lucky you can actually swim right next to a dolphin. Personal suggestion: get a gopro head band, swimming with it in these waves is difficult. The jetski was very fast and fun to do, had half an hour of immense fun riding with and against the waves. Thank you to Mawingu and his team for making our trip amazing. Greetings, Tony

        Incredible Experience
We visited Mnemba island where we did some snorkelling, on our way back we saw dolphins swimming in the open sea. They took an extra detour to ensure we were able to see more dolphins as we hadn’t seen any on our way out. We took a day trip to spice farm, Nakupendo island, Prison island and stone town. Nakupendo island was our favourite!!! we stayed until the island had almost disappeared with the high tide, the feeling of being in the middle of the ocean with nature at its best is second to none. The lunch they provided was also scrumptious! There was no pressure from the team to get us off. The tortoises on prison island we’re amazing! We also took the sunset cruise which was really fun. I just wish I had my swimming costume on so I could have jumped into the sea from the top deck of the boat! The turtle conservation farm was another trip where we got to feed and swim with the turtles!! It was an incredible holiday made so by Captain Mawingu and his crew! Thank you so very much

Mnemba Island, Sunset Cruise & Jet ski
We did a very nice Mnemba Island tour with a snorkeling adventure. On the way to Mnemba our crew searched for dolphins. We found a big group of dolphins and where able to swim with them very closely. After that we went to the island and did some snorkeling. On the way back to our Hotel our crew brought us to the turtel aquarium where we needed to buy an additional ticket for 10dollar each. In the evening we did a Sunset cruise which was accompanied with swahili music. We enjoyed it with fresh fruits and nice people together on the boat. The third adventure booked at Mawingu Tours was a jet ski ride. We receive as promised a very fast jet ski and could drive it half an hour as we wanted to. I can warmly recommend doing all these tours around Zanzibar together with Mawingu and his team. Thank you for your support.

        Unique adventure in paradise
An amazing snorkeling adventure chasing & swimming with dolphins off the coast of Kendwa, Tanzania. Plus visiting a beautiful reef with 100s of tropical fish. It was breathtaking.

Exciting Wildlife, Lion Tour to the Serengeti
You should not miss the chance to visit one of the most popular wildlife destinations in the world in a short time and on a low budget. These destinations are home to wild cats. It is the reason the famous Lion King movie was based in the Serengeti National Park. This park is best known for its huge number of elephants and baobab trees. The snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro of Tanzania is the world's tallest free-standing mountain. It's also the world's tallest walkable mountain. Therefore take this trip to make successive days of trekking in a wilderness environment at high altitudes in the mountain. You can trek to the diverse landscapes of the Ngorongoro Highlands – Ngorongoro Crater and Empakaai Crater & eventually head to Lake Natron, a soda Lake, where you can find the breeding lesser flamingos and the waterfalls. The trail does wind through some of the greatest scenery on earth.

Nungwi fish market, Kokotony lobster farm, & steel nail makers for the Nungwi Dhows
NOTE! This review is only for Nungwi Fish Market and various interesting places along the way ... We had a taxi day trip up to Nungwi from Stone Town and what an adventure this turned out to be . We arrived towards the village and I am not entirely sure how our cab actually managed to get to the market!! All via little lanes with huge potholes ... but we got there! We saw various people making things on the beach. One guy was making his fishing lines attaching bits of octopus 🐙 to the little hooks - fascinating to watch!! There was another man beating the heck out of a dead octopus - presumably to make it more tender. I stood a little too close!! And of course some of it hit me 🥴 Luckily the boats had just come in with their catch so the auction was in full swing .. and what a wonderful sight. The smell in the intense heat was so over powering but it was certainly an experience to be there and to watch the goings on - all quite amazing! After we left the fish market we went on to a little village named Kokotony where there was an old - very old German Fort. next door to the ruin was the local village mosque and next door to that .... the most amazing thing I ever saw!! We were guided up some steps and entered a cool room filled with 2 or 3 water tanks complete with bubbling water pipes... It was a lobster farm!! 🦞 and .... did you know that every THREE months the lobster crawls out of its skin (leaves it behind like a snake) it’s quite amazing and their colours are just unreal.. what an experience that was for sure! So happy to have seen this.. On the way back to Stone Town we passed by some roadside workers making by hand, in the the original old fashioned way - steel nails for making the Dhow boats of Nungwi This too was a true experience to watch - and such hard hard work!! These poor poor people who have to rely only on tips.. What a fabulous day out!

        Best Tour operator (Said)
We spent 2 magical weeks in Zanzibar! We called on Said, a great organizer for the excursions (safari, stone town, Mbemba Island, outing with dolphins, taxi transfers from the airport or between hotels, prison Island ...) Everything was perfect! I recommend, he is very serious. You can reach him easily on WhatsApp +255628725208, he is very responsive. The price of excursions and transfers is very competitive.
