The entire trip was a brilliant experience. This was largely due to the crew and in particular Oliver who was the main guide and was very friendly. Erastus (owner/organiser) was very easy to communicate with and helped us make adjustments to our trip even at the last moments.

We took a 6 days safari (Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro). Our driver was a capable and reliable guide, as well as being an excellent travel companion. There were 4 of us tourists and he always proved to be attentive to everyone's needs and we could democratically discuss how to organize the day. Mafie proved to be very reliable in managing the times and services offered and ready to help us in case of requests for changes, we always felt in good hands. In addition to the safari, really appreciated the bike tour in Mto Wa Mbu.

Very recommended. There were three of us, me and my teenagers grand daughters.We managed to see all the big five. The driver Godfrey was excellent. The choice of lodges very good. We had a wonderful experience.

As part of our honeymoon, my wife and I wanted to fulfil our bucket list deam of climbing Kilimanjaro. We booked with Mafie adventure as this is a local company with good reviews which it certainly stood up to. We arrived at Kilimanjaro airport and were met by Erastus and Oliver (who would be our lead guide). From the very start they were very professional, checking all of our equipment and medication (Diamox). The 8-day Lemosho route was very gentle at the start and we were able to see a huge variety of terrain and vegetation. Oliver and the assistant guide (Hosea) were very knowledgeable on the mountain and the surrounding ecosystem. Summit day was very challenging and we would not have been able to complete it without the support of Oliver and Bryson (one of the porters). Oliver provided essential medication while I was on the mountain as well as a huge amount of encouragement which definitely helped me get to the top. Given we were thousands of metres above altitude, the food was simply sensational and cooked to a very high standard by a very good chef. We were given three course meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner of which there was always a hot meal. This provided us with the essential nutrition to get through the walking days. We were part of a very big team (12) for only the two of us: 1 lead guide, 1 assistant guide, 1 chef, 9 porters. Everyone was very friendly and we developed good camaraderie. We wish we had asked in advance the number of staff who would accommodate us up the mountain as tipping is delivered per persons. Prior to going, it will be important to adhere to the KPAP advice and ask for more information about this from Mafie adventures Nevertheless, this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that me and my wife will never forget and we are eternally grateful for Oliver and the rest of the team for making our dream come true Thank you very much

We had a successful summit, and I’d recommend contacting Mafie adventures as one of the best value for money options out there. Competitive price and top service.

I summited Mt Kilimanjaro a few days ago with the help of an amazing team from Mafie Adventures along with a great trip to Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area . This was during a 10day layover on my way back to US. So, it took quite some coordination for the airport pickups, transfers, accommodations etc but Erastus ensured it was seamless, safe and enjoyable. He was easy to communicate with and provided all the necessary info. The prices he offered were very reasonable/affordable without compromising on safety or comforts. A very special thanks to the team ~Benjamin(Guide),Bariki(Chef), Mudy(Waiter/Porter) and the rest of the porters James,Nelson,Abraham and Judika ..that made the 7day Lemosho hike all the more memorable. Mafie Adventures provided us a great experience since the very beginning. The communication before booking, the pickup at the airport and hotel reservation. Everything went smoothly. Erastus recommend us to took the Machame 7 day route and it was perfect! All the team, the porters and the guides, Oliver and Mathews, made us feel this experience special. The summit day was quite an experience. With their help we did it! After all, this tour was more than climbing Kilimanjaro, it was also about to people who made us feel this experience at full.

The whole experience was amazing! From the moment Erastus picked us up at the airport we felt welcomed and always taken cared of. The two guides ~ Oliver and Mathew - were super professional, very knowledgeable, and always kind and caring. Food was very good, as were the whole team of porters who do nothing short of an amazing job. We both summited successfully and the whole team really did their job in helping us every step of the way. Starting from planning to execution everything went OK. A good team and guides help us reach top of Africa. We have enjoyed the hospitality and guidance of the team, undoubtedly best thing happened in 2023.

I did the 6 day Machame Route with mafie adventures. Going in April (low season) I was pleasantly surprised to have a small group to hike with and we were almost the only people on the mountain. The guides spoke great English and communicated effectively, the porters were excellent and the food and facilities were all up to standard. We had a successful summit, and I’d recommend contacting Mafie adventures as one of the best value for money options out there. Competitive price and top service. Strongly consider doing 7 days though to avoid altitude sickness

I booked a one-day trip to Ngorongoro Crater with Erastus and we agreed that we would meet the day before to make the payment. We met and Erastus told me that he might not be able to arrange the trip for me because other guests had changed their plans. However, he personally, sitting in front of me, promised to make it work and told me not to worry about it. The same day, at 8 pm, he informed me that I could not do the safari the next day (NB: I had only come to Arusha for one day to do exactly this safari). Despite me calling a bunch of other operators, it was too late to find an alternative for the next day. I ended up not being able to do the safari that I had come for. Don't trust Erastus. My whole trip to Arusha was useless because he promised things he couldn't keep.

Erastus and Mafie adventures were a fantastic company to organise our trip to Kilimanjaro. We chose the 8 days Lemosho route, and from the very beginning Erastus was super comprehensive and was able to answer all our questions about the trip. When we arrived in Tanzania, Erastus picked us up at the airport and organised very well all the remaining of the trip. Oliver and John were our two guides, and they were fantastic and supportive throughout all the journey. They started meticolously to check all our equipment the day before the start, and throughout the whole climb they have been terrific with countless tips, funny stories, and a superb knowledge about the mountain. We managed to reach the Summit without much of a problem thanks to our guides and the way they prepared and supported us throughout the whole journey. Especially on Summit night, when we were close to give up a couple of times, Oliver and John pushed us through constantly until we finally made it to the top. It was a magical experience, and we are really thankful to Erastus and the whole crew to be such a organised, well prepared and fun company to work with. Oh and if you are wondering how the crew is treated and especially porters: mafie adventures tend to go more or less always with the same people, all of the people are treated more than fairly and it felt like we were part of a family who have been working together for a long time. Thank you so much for everything Erastus, see you on the next mountain to climb!

We were 4 days and 3 nights on safari: Serengeti National Park, Negoronegoro National Park. Tarangiri National Park It was amazing with a lot of animals. We were 6 person in total, Erastus arranges everting with good price, So that was a great experience for us and we really enjoyed a lot. The guide(Alisante) was great and explain on the animal & culture Thanks a lot!
