About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 148moz0 contributions3 Day SafariWe were on a 3 Day Safari with Paul and had an Amazing expirience. Everything went flawless from the pickup at the busstation to even finding us a hotel at the last minute. From there on we drove to Tarangire where we spent a whole day with spotting a lot of elephants and even lions eating a Zebra they catched (and more…). The next day we drove to the Ngorongoro crater which has an amazing landscape. There you can spot a lot of Zebras, Wildebeest, buffalos aswell as lions, elephants and more. If you are lucky you also can spot an Rhino (mostly from far because they are pretty shy to humans/hide alot). In the evening we went to Lake Eyasi to see the Sunset aswell as how the people live and fish there. The last morning before our depature back to Arusha we went to visit local tribes and drove threw onion and corn fields of the local community to see how they produce these things. Because we spent one more day in arusha after the safari, paul was so kind to walk us threw the city, showed us the market and even helped us organise our bus tickets back to DAR. We enjoy our time a lot. The food was really good, there was always cold water available as well as tea and coffe at the camp. We always felt very comfortable and well looked after. We would highly recommend the safari with Paul and his team. it will remain in our best memories forever!Written March 21, 2025

The support was excellent and trekking meals delicious under such difficult situations. Great tents and other equipment in camp. The very best part is the team. Absolutely loved every person from Guide Private who supported our team.Written July 11, 2024
- marymck20170 contributionsDreams come true.Absolutely the best guide in Paul and his team anyone could ask for. Our group was looked after with great care from the whole team. 13 started at the bottom and we all made it to the summit in great shape. This was due to Paul and his team’s professionalism and care to get us there and back down safely. Highly recommend. Steve and Mary.Written July 7, 2024
- talbalbah0 contributionsPaul and Guide Private could not have done more to get us to the summit. The weeks climb was challenging for out group of 49 to 63 year old trekkers however all 13 made it to the summit due to the expertise of our wonderful guides and porters. They knew just when to step in and support us, before we even knew we needed help. We were extremely well cared for with great food, soups, rice, stews, fresh fruit and vegies, porridge, popcorn, hot drinks and vegetarian and gluten free meals. The porters carried porta-loos from camp to camp so we didn't have to use public amenities. Warm water was brought to our tents for washing on most days, hot drinks as well before breakfast. The guides and porters were engaging, knowledgeable and entertaining. Great singers too. We camped in some amazing place, above the clouds for 3 days, it really felt like we were on top of the world.Written July 1, 2024

- 24seani0 contributionsOnce in a lifetime experienceI recently visited East Africa on a business school trip, and decided to climb Kilimanjaro with a friend. We were referred to Paul through another friend and could not be happier with how it turned out. Paul and his team of legends were absolutely first class in helping to organise and execute the trip. He arranged accomodation in Arusha (a nearby city) and a driver to get around prior to the hike. Then throughout the 6 day hike the whole team were amazing. The porters were essential in helping us get the essentials up and down the mountain, and the chef prepared some super tasty meals to keep our energy up. Both Paul and his assistant guide Lagos were professional, but also had a great humour and made the experience enjoyable even on summit night. 10/10 would recommend! One of the most memorable trips of my life.Written May 22, 2023
- נעמה א0 contributionsamazing experience ! Paul's staff is very nice and pleasant. It was a very special adventureThe organization of the trip was very good and pleasant. Paul was available for any of our requests before the trip, and also during the trip. We got to know the team and the feeling was very good and pleasant throughout the climb up the mountain. Paul helped us a lot to manage to climb and reach the top. Very professional staff, very pleasant and sensitive. The tent, food and equipment were great! For a fee, Paul took care of sleeping bags and a coat for us which were not at the level we expected, and it would have been better to rent this equipment ourselves. In our opinion, the trip was more expensive than we had planned and from what other travelers told us, in addition the staff pushed for us to end the trip a day before even though we had already paid them for the extra day and we did not receive a refund not even for lodging at the place we arrived on the night we were supposed to witness the trip. That caused a bit of an unpleasant feeling at the end of the trip.Written October 23, 2022

- 970glynn0 contributionsGreat Work by Paul and the teamThis was a well managed operation. Good quality tents. Guides - Paul, Stanley, Isaac, Cosmos, Freddie (i can't remember everyone) - all excellent. Very helpful and professional management of the entire guide and porter team. Even in trying conditions - snow storms, rains etc - the lads still had the tent up and a meal ready. Highly recommended.Written January 25, 2020
- T2230CQpeterh0 contributionsClimbing Killi in comfortClimbing Mount Kilimanjaro is not a decision you make lighty and once made I assume for most, like me, your head is filled with thoughts of trepidation. I recetly completed the trekk with Paul and his team (Stanly, Fred, Isaac, Coleman, Cosmos and so many more) and I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed an adventure experience like this before. Everyone and I mean everyone was fantastically friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food was great, the facilities were perfect and the attention to the safety of the group and myself as an individual was spot on - I felt safe and informed about the trip from the first camp through sumit day and then down again. Thanks for a fantastic time guys I know I will remebver you for a long time and will always be recommending you.Written January 23, 2020

I just loved the Lemosho route. July 2021 was my second climb of Mount Kilimanjaro. The first time I used the marangu route (Coca Cola route) but for sure the lemosho route has been just spectacular. Great views and challenges (the Baranco wall also known as breakfast wall was my favorite). The guides and the team was just superb. We were told as we go up, we might be loosing appetite, fortunately none of my friends nor spouse had this problem, for sure I will link this to the delicious fresh food that was cooked by our chef. The tents and sleeping bags were clean and nice, the porters were just as efficient in their work and very friendly. If you want a perfect and relaxed climb, then you know who to go to, Paul and his team were there all the time to provide information and tips to successfully conquer the mountain. The whole team of 8 people made it to the top.

Paul Bernad led a small group of me and three other climbers up Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho route. Paul was always responsive to everyone's abilities and led us accordingly. The food was great and we all achieved our goal of making it to the top.

Prepare well to deal with the cold. Do not rely on your phone to take pictures, and push for the best pose and smile 😆 (it won't be natural). Focus on the moment and enjoy the journey!
