My amazing Day Trip Safari through Arusha
Hakuna Matata Expeditions organised for me a wonderful Day Trip to Arusha with visiting the Main local Markets, Massai Market, Cultural Heritage and the Arusha Clock Tower. It was a wonderful day and very interesting. The lovely Guide was sharing a lot of informations. I enjoyed it very much. We were able to walk and explore the different corners of the city. Even when hard Rain hit us we didn't lose any motivation or hope and just waited while having a funny conversation. We walked through the City and used public transport. It was a lot of Fun and I was able to get very good insights of the life of Locals here in Arusha. All in all I had an amazing time and really enjoyed the day. I would recommend this Day Trip Safari in Arusha to anyone! The crew has been so lovely and it was a real pleasure to do this. We saw a lot and experienced the City very well. Only a Local can show you all those Spots and tell you about it. Plus the Guides are really amazing in bargaining for you and helping you buy from the markets as most people in the markets don't really speak English. A huge thank you to Hakuna Matata Expeditions for arranging this wonderful day for me! I really loved it and will never forget this experience! Hopefully until next time!

        Birthday Safari 2 days
One year ago I wanted to go on a safari for my birthday. My Tanzanian friend and I travelled to Arusha by bus from Dar es Salaam. On my web searches for a affordable guesthouse we came upon this place in the middle of the centre of town. I was a huge complex that had stores on the ground level, one of those stores was a safari-agent. After a good night rest we went over to this office that looked great. Big pictures of animals and nature luring us in. Behind the desk sat a friendly young woman who was very happy to accommodate us. It was a close call cause we wanted a safari very soon. We discussed plans and options and she made some calls and got us in a group for a two day all-inclusive safari. The fact that is was raining heavily and did not seem to get better worried me, but Patricia told us not to worry, cause the weather behaves differently in different areas in the country, esp. the area close to Serengeti. On the morning previous to my birthday a landrover came to pick us up from our guesthouse. We were the first ones. We had to collect the rest of the travellers along the route from Arusha to Tarangire National park. Our guide was a robust and kind bloke who made us feel at ease instantly. Slowly our group grew, a German guy who was staying at a coffee plantation, a French lady with her daughter, two more German students and me from Holland and my friend from DSM. We were fed historical facts on the way to the wild parks. Driving through the yellow savanah, baobabs everywhere we saw young Masai with painted faces and wearing a spear standing alongside the road like ghostappearances. We drove past the bomba's, the familyvillages of the Masai who live of herding cattle. In the vast park we saw wildebeest drinking near a pond, the stones turned out to be hippo's, a giraffe stretching its neck to eat the fresh top leaves. Antilopes grazing, wild hogs looking for a snack, a yellow lion in the yellow grass a puzzle to solve. Zebra's showing their stripes and ostriges running after each other. The big group of jeeps from all these different companies roaming the park like metal beasts. The umbrella roof was open and while standing in the jeep you had an open view over the countryside which was overwhelmingly beautiful and divers. The highlight of the day where the elephants, a group of ten or twelve with three little ones crossing the road right in front of us. Our guide provided us with a lot of information on the wild animals around us. After the park we headed up a mountain close to Manyara national park, big trees, lush green, and then high up the most fantastic camping site with African iglo's, little round artistic hotel rooms. Colorful food was prepared and during a copious dinner a local music and dancinggroup showed us some traditional dances and songs. It was the best birthday ever. The cake was still to come. The next day we drove to famous Ngorongoro crater. It was raining but our guide was in good spirits. Once we got close to the crater the clouds opened up and the sun appeared painting the landscape in watercolors. Again we were not alone there. A lot of metal beasts but it did not matter cause the crater offered a dazzling vast and divers landscape, lions hunting, large groups of wildebeest, buffalo and zebra crossing the planes. Hippos sleeping in the grass, pelicans, flamingo's on one leg. One highlight on top of the other. Amazing, what a setting. I am very grateful to our agent Patricia who organized an affordable and spectacular safari on such short notice. She stayed in contact throughout the trip via WhatsApp to see if all was well. I can definitely recommend her to do the same for you. One tip: bring binoculars. I wish you a good trip, safari njema!

Trip Ngorngoro and Tarangire with friends
Hakuna matata expeditions arranged memorable two days of exploring Tarangire national park and Ngorongoro crater. On the first day on August 17, 2019 we had a full day game drive in Tarangire and it was amazing to see large groups of Elephants, antelopes, warthog and monkeys plus a large population of baobab trees. In the evening we had very delicious dinner and it was our first time experience sleeping in the tent. On the following day august 18, 2019 we had a game drive through Ngorongoro crater where we learned how animals and human beings, the Masai coexisted in the caldera. It was nice seeing large magnitude of zebras and wild bests. We also saw black rhino, lions, antelopes, buffalos and ostriches. Throughout the trip, our tour guide was helpful and full of details about different animals, plants and landscapes. Thanks to Patricia and the team for well-arranged safari, looking forward to meet you on the coming Christmas holiday trip.
