About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Charlotte Z0 contributionsNice views and friendly localsHad an incredible day exploring the Materuni Waterfalls and doing the coffee tour, followed by a visit to the Kikuletwa Hot Springs. The waterfall hike was stunning, and the people we met in the valley were so friendly and welcoming. The coffee-making process was fascinating to see firsthand, and it was great getting to taste the local brew. My guide made the whole experience even better, sharing stories and making sure everything ran smoothly. Wrapping up at the Kikuletwa Hot Springs was the perfect way to relax after a day of adventure. Highly recommend this trip for anyone visiting the area!Written October 7, 2024
- 118emmm0 contributionsFantastic experienceAwesome experience! We totally recommend for sure! Everything was perfect! The Safari was truly amazing experience and the credits go to Simon aka Safari monster! He has very good eyesight, a lot of animal knowledge, drives good, speaks English fluently, happy person and felt safe with him! But none of these would happen without Innocent Julius! He was the reason that we choose Safari Soles! He was very helpful with the Safari arrangements and the accomodations, responded very fast, and willing to give any information! Thank you all!Written October 6, 2024
- k303410 contributions7 day private family safari - fly in to northern Seregenti and drive outWe just finished a 7 day safari for a family group of 7 with Safari Soles and Isack as our Guide. Everything thing about the process was top notch professional from the quotation and contracting phase, to the transportation and of course most important, the Safari guide support by Isack. After getting quotations from several good tour operators, we chose Safari Soles based on their excellent past reviews, a competitive price and timely support during the planning and contracting process. We chose to fly into the northern Serengeti from Arusha on the morning of day one and drive out which was an excellent way to get the most out of your time. We were met by Isack (who had driven ten hours the day before to be ready to meet us when we landed at 8:15am. We immediately started the game drive and by 10:00 we were watching two lines of hundreds of wildebeest crossing the Mara river back into Tanzania – a sight we hoped but did not expect to see. We continued the week staying at excellent camps in the Serengeti, Crater and Tarangaire with sights of dozens of lions, leopard with her dinner (zebra) in the tree with her, dozens of elephants, water buffalo, zebra and other beautiful game. We can’t say enough about Isack really made the week for us with his professionalism, excellent knowledge providing detailed answers to our countless questions, and his close attention to little details that made the Safari experience better for all of us. We all felt like he was part of the family by day 7. You can’t go wrong with this team.Written October 5, 2024
- Mnanne10 contributionsNature, coffee and seeing life outside the cityWe had an amazing day with our guide Enock. We had great conversations, his English was excellent and took care of everything we needed. The waterfall (and the path through the jungle) was very beautiful and it was an easy hike. It was better than expected from looking at the pictures beforehand. The coffee experience was very cool and you really get to see how to make coffee from plant to cup of coffee which was really interesting and the coffee we got was quite good. The lunch at the village was also great! We left with a full stomach. Lastly we went to the hot springs, its quite a long drive but we thought it was interesting to see how people live on the countryside along the way. The hot springs are fun and beautiful and the temperature is about a normal swimming pool. All and all it was a great day.Written October 5, 2024
- yaos4530 contributionsgreat life experience!Abduly is a good guide, driving steadily, with good eyesight, and seeing lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, wildebeests crossing the river, This is an excellent guide. The soles company's plan is also very good, arranged a shuttle and so on.Written October 5, 2024
- George M0 contributionsExperience of a lifetime! We just had one of the best trips of our lives and we'd like to thank Safari Soles for that. From the very beginning when we were trying to select a safari company among the many, Joachim from Safari Soles was exceptionally professional and accommodating to our personalization requests, and this was one of the reasons why we decided to go with this company. Throughout the entire trip they were extremely organized & professional, and this for us was important because safety & peace of mind was important for such a challenging trip. We consider ourselves lucky because our Safari guide throughout the entire trip was Ombeni. He was very experienced both as a safari guide and a long hours driver under harsh conditions. With Ombeni as our guide, we managed to see all Big 5 animals as well as the majestic river crossing from hundreds of whildebeast. Book a safari for many days, and book it with Safari Soles and you can't go wrong.Written October 4, 2024
- George M0 contributionsFantastic experience! We had a lovely experience at the waterfalls and the coffee plantation. Enock was the best guide we could have and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. The highlight for us was the coffee plantation where we had lots of fun with the staff there and we had the chance to experience the entire lifecycle from harvesting the coffee beans, all the way to roasting and drinking it. Thanks again Enock for the lovely memories we created together.Written October 4, 2024
- Mnanne10 contributionsGreat guide, great chefs, and great organisation for a reasonable priceWe had an amazing experience with our guide Ernest and chef Ibrahim (first 2 days) and chef Dennis, the rest of the trip. First of, Ernest was able to show us all the beauties of Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro, we saw lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffe and many many more animals. It was truly magical. He was able to quickly spot the animals and was experienced in the pathing of the parks. What we also appreciated is that he took the time to explain behaviors of different animals. Second, if we needed anything, we could ask Ernest and he would help us. He set up our tents, was clear in communicating the plan for the next day or help us out whenever it was needed. His English was excellent and made it easy to communicate. One thing that clearly stood out was the quality of the food from chef Ibrahim and Dennis. Every day we had an amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner, something we havent heard from other safari experiences. We only spent one day at the tented lodge an gata, which was great in general, but the food from the lodge couldnt meet the quality of the chefs Ibrahim and Dennis. Lastly, I also appreciated the clear communication from safari soles regarding quotes, options and planning before and during the trip.Written October 4, 2024

This is a great 1 day safari from Arusha. The guide was very experienced and informative and we saw lots of animals on the game drive. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel and the service was brilliant. Even lunch was set up with table cloth, a lovely chicken and rice dish with plenty of veg and drinks. Great day out. Would definitely recommend this day trip if you have limited time and cannot do a longer safari.

This one-day safari was perfect for seeing a lot in such a short time. I definetely recommend longer safaris, but if you don't have the time, the tarangire day trip is great. Tarangire is rich in wildlife and if you are a fan of elephants - such as myself - this is the place for you. I saw 3 of the big five and it was an unforgettable day. Benjamin was an amazing guide, who taught me a lot about wildlife and life in Tanzania.

Perfect for one day safari where you can see all the animals from the big 5 (almost, except the rhino). Unforgettable experience for good price and delicious lunch included. Very friendly and service-minded guide, Mtinangi, that talked us through the park and knew a lot about the animals and thanks to the knowledge about animal behaviour we could see a lot more than the other groups. Recommend highly!

This is a solid your. The tour guide Said, is a really nice guy who cares about the job he does and the people he is with. He did his best to answer any questions and he’s just a genuinely nice guy. He made sure we got to see as much as possible. We saw a ton of giraffes, elephants (well over 100) monkeys, zebra, impalas, warthogs etc. He tried really hard to find us some Wildcats that was the only miss of the trip but they are certainly there. He made sure we ate plenty with a nice lunch and a great location. He also gives you the option to stop to a local shop for souvenirs and was really flexible on time. The jeep is really cool too. Said even Got a hold of us on WhatsApp to make sure we were doing well the next day. I’d say this is a top three Park in Tanzania and the best for giraffes and elephants!!!

So, based on the few actual written reviews here we weren't quite sure what to expect. To sum it up: we had a great time. Our guide was Ernest from Safari Soles and he was lovely. He knew where to stop and where animals are. His keen eye actually help us spot several animals (like a python and a baboon) that we would have otherwise missed.
Suggested accessories: bring a good camera with a good zoom. Dress lightly. You won't be hiking so any shoes will do.
What's cool: there's a fridge with water and soft drinks in the car. The jeep also has a power socket so you can charge your accessories on the go.
Be careful about: you'll be standing a lot (the jeep's top opens) to enjoy the scenery and take pictures, so be ready for that. Make sure you have some eye protection as the sand will blast into your face. The roads in the park are bad so you will get thrown around a lot.
We started from a hotel in Arusha. It takes about to hours to get to the park. We picked up lunch on the way. You will have a short pause at the park entrance for the tickets to be purchased. We drove through about 1/3 of the park before we stopped at a picnic place.
Ernest having experience brought food in steel containers. He explained that monkeys will nick (things from) lunch boxes and we've actually seen it happen to other tourists. He was also wary enough to close the jeep as monkeys will enter open ones.
We had rice, potatoes, veggies (carrots, peas) and fish for lunch. It was lovely.
Afterwards we headed across the river and saw the second third of the park. And then its back to the hotel.
We were able to see zebras, elephants, lions, hogs, different gazellas, a python and some monkeys. Ernest was knowledgeable, being able to answer our questions and provide some interesting facts. Most of all he was patient with us stopping for any photo opportunity we requested.
Overall, a lovely day.

It was an incredible adventure and we would go on a safari with Safarisolestour again at any time! We spent two days in Tarangire National Park and spent one night in the "Angata Camp".
Before the trip we planned and discussed everything with Renatus from Safarisolestour. Renatus always answered questions immediately and took our wishes into account so that they could be implemented as best as possible! On site we were picked up by our driver Stanley in a jeep, which we had just for the two of us (and the driver, of course). We were lucky to have such a nice driver who stopped wherever we wanted, he always looked around for animals and explained everything to us about the animals and Tarangire National Park. On the very first day we saw ALL the animals that can be found in this national park (giraffes, zebras and wildebeest, water buffalo, elephants, a family of lions, leopards, antelopes, ostriches, hyenas, birds) - of course you also need a bit of luck, but we have Stanley to thank for most of it. At lunchtime we were at a larger hotspot on a mountain with an incredible view of the national park. Stanley had brought delicious hot food for us. This was great, as I saw some other safari operators who had brought "lunch boxes" with cold food (sandwich, apple) for the guests. Our accommodation "Angata Camp" exceeded all expectations. We stayed in a large "King Tent" and thought we were in a 5-star hotel with a direct view of the wilderness. The food there was incredibly delicious - we were served a 4-course meal. Without exception, all of the staff were super nice and accommodating.
On the last day of our safari, we even got several hours longer than originally planned, this was arranged by our driver Stanley.
It was the best experience we've ever had and we have the entire Safarisolestour team to thank for this!!!!

Ernest Elisha gave us an excellent experience. This was such a great idea and we felt really lucky to see all sorts of wildlife. Lots of elephant. The food was great and Ernest was a great tour guide, he went above and beyond to make sure we had the best viewing angles of different animals.

The day trip to Tangerine National Park was totally awesome. We saw a lot of wildlife including elephant, zebra, lions, ostrich, zebra, wildebeest and cheetah. Our guide, Rahab, was fantastic and taught us about the various plants and animals that we saw. Overall, the day trip was well worth the visit.
