Our Safari in Tanzania with Lion King Adventures has been amazing. We have visited Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro in just 5 days. Our wonderfull driver and Guide, Simon made an incredible effort to show us all the wonders that these lands hold. We were abble to see, the great migration, the big five, cheetahs… and countless animals. The accommodations that Lion King, selected were really nice. Very Good value for money. A First Safari with Lion King and many more to come! I just returned from my first trip to Tanzania and it was spectacular! Here’s why~ We went on a seven day safari with Lion King Adventures and every single moment was memorable. Our trip took a few exciting months of planning and looking back, I wouldn't have changed a single thing. From the beginning it was clear we were working with knowledgeable, kind and professional people in the Lion King Adventures office. This confidence extended immediately to our driver, Tuma who met us at the airport and showed us around Arusha for the first few and last days. On day three, our safari began! We met our brilliant guide and driver, Yusuph who drove us with tireless energy and diligence through Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and the vast Serengeti game parks over the course of the week. Being a safari guide is a serious and highly skilled profession. One must be alert at all times, not only for wild animals but for the extremely challenging navigation skills required for roads with huge ruts, washboards, narrow creaky bridges and lots of dust. Yusuph was incredible! Plus he taught us so much about the animals, birds and exotic vegetation. We learned about behaviors, habitats, migration patterns, all delivered with great joy, wisdom and depth of knowledge . We arrived at Nyota Serengeti ,a Lion King Adventures wonderful luxury tented camp, after a long arduous transfer drive from the Ngorongoro Crater to this remote area of the park. Lights twinkled along the pathways leading to each carefully crafted tent, a combination of wood and canvas beautifully constructed. After settling in, enjoying a hot shower and looking out towards the distant river at the grazing cape buffalo and zebras, I was escorted by Johana, a Maasai warrior with a spear and a flashlight to the dining pavilion. We ate the most delicious meal, prepared by the creative chefs. I had a stir fry I will never forget. All the meals at Nyota are beautifully prepared with the freshest ingredients. Each night we sat under the starry sky and felt so welcomed and honored to be there. I shall think fondly of all the people we met along the way: Florida, Caroline, Godwin in the office in Arusha and so many others there as well, the mechanics who seem to perform miracles on the vehicles and a special shout out to the fabulous Yusuph! The trip with Geoffrey was overall wonderful! He took good care of me and we got to see many animals including the big five. It’s quieter in the parks during the low season so a more relaxing experiences with the animals. The accommodation and the food were very nice too. The only problem is I don’t have the stomach to fill that in haha. Overall recommended.

We booked our Safari in the hopes of experiencing the incredible diversity of birds in Tanzania in addition to the large mammals. Our guide Gilbert was extremely well prepared with two bird field guides and an app to help us identify 160+ species! He was extremely patient, stopping several times to identify even the smallest birds we encountered to add to our life lists. Leading a birding inclusive safari requires an additional level of skill and diligence, and Gilbert absolutely delivered. I would highly recommend Lion King Adventures for the 7-day epic adventure safari, and I also highly recommend Gilbert for a birding focused trip that still includes the big 5 (and more)!

The man, the myth, the legend. We booked this tour knowing we were rolling the dice with the rain but it was everything we hoped for and more. Our guide Gilbert was super helpful with identifying every bird we came across and can spot a leopard tail, in the shadow of a tree, from a hundred meters away. Lion King, & Gilbert specifically, made this trip what it was. We may have been the only people stopping for birds on the Serengeti but he knew what we were looking for and we were able to spot and identify over 175 species of birds over 7 days. I cannot recommend the 7 day epic adventure enough and would recommend Gilbert as your guide ESPECIALLY if you're looking for birds.

Our trip with Lion King Adventures for our honeymoon exceeded our expectations. The hotels and lodges we stayed at were exceptional. The food was amazing. Before our safari, we did a Materuni village visit with a waterfall hike, coffee tour, and local lunch. This was a great start to the trip as we were able to experience the hospitality of the locals. Our safari guide Yusuph was professional and hard working to ensure we had the best safari. He was also friendly and very knowledgeable about Tanzania, the parks, and the animals. Our favourite lodge was the Nyota Luxury camp in the heart of the Serengeti. After our safari we were able to relax in Nungwi, Zanzibar.

The trip of a lifetime! I would highly reccomend a trip to Tanzania with Lion King Safari! Gela was the best guide we could have asked for. The accommodations were all fantastic with great food. The best trip of my life!

This safari was amazing! We did three days with our tour guide Khalifa who was amazing in sharing all the knowledge about the Tanzanian culture, people (and the various Indigenous peoples), the places and the animals and the importance of wildlife and cultural retention. We went to the the Ngorongoro Crater, the Lake Manyera and the Tarangire National Park and saw so many different wildlife from the Lions, Hippos, Giraffe, Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino, Python, Wildbeast,Anteloupe and much more. We also saw how there are so many similarities in some of the culture with our homeland in Jamaica like some of the tropical terrain around Arusha and some of the road design etc etc. We stayed at Acacia Lodge and the Meru Hotel and those stays were also top notch! We enjoyed our experience and 100% recommend Lion King and 100% recommend Tour Guide Khalifa! BIG UPS FROM JAMAICA TO TANZANIA! ASANTE SANANA! (thank you Extra extra!!!!)

Wow what a trip. Lion King Adventure you delivered in spades. Starting with Florida in the office who organised everything perfectly providing valuable help. Our guide Shabani delivered everything and more. His patience and experience meant we had the greatest safari. The accommodation was so good with staff always there to assist with a smile. The beds so big we slept great each night awakening with lots of energy for the day ahead. To see lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffes, elephants and more made it a dream trip. The final day with a black rhinoceros sighting for 30 minutes or more just topped it off. Can’t speak highly enough of them. Go for it!

It was a long time dream of ours to go on a safari to Serengeti . We were finally able to go for a special occasion- our 25 th wedding anniversary ! After speaking to a few safari organizers and reading a lot about them we decided to go with Lion King Adventures. From the very beginning James was very responsive . We had multiple questions - he answered them all patiently. Maria was able to come up with a customized plan for us - we did Tarangire , central and northern Serengeti , Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. She was able to choose the accommodations of our liking- we went with mid range to luxury- James suggested a mix of the two and it was the best decision . We loved each and every place . They made it special for us as it was a milestone trip . All the people we met at every lodge and camp were excellent . We stayed at Kitella lodge near Tarangire , Kubu Kubu tented lodge, Lemala Kuria in Northern Serengeti ( they upgraded us!)and Lions Paw in Ngorongoro. Our guide Immanuel was very good- he had a single minded determination to Ensure that we saw all the animals we wanted. The safari vehicle was always neat and clean . We got to see the most amazing river crossing and migration! We were also very happy with food - we are very strict vegetarians and had no issues anywhere . They made special meals for us every where. Overall we had an experience of a lifetime. We got to meet James at the end of our trip and were very happy. Right from picking you up at the airport to dropping you off you are in excellent hands with Lion King Adventures!

We just returned from 5 days and 4 nights with 3 at Serengeti and 1 night at Ngorogoro. We stayed in Arusha on our own for one night before and one night after. We chose to stay at Serena in both places. Both properties were very nice and atmospheric, although the food could have been better. We had Benjamin as our guide. He did a great job finding the animals. We saw all the animals we could have hoped for, lots of babies too! Benji was always aware and concerned for our security and welfare. He had a great personality and a great sense of humor; also very easy to get along with He was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and other facts. I would use this tour company again. Things were well organized by Florida and she kept us in the loop throughout the process.

They could not have been more helpful during the booking process, reassuring us we had made the right choice. Our guide was truly the best guide we could have wished for. He was always in the right place at the right time to see the animals and his knowledge was limitless. The accommodation they chose for us was always of a high standard especially Nyota Safari Camp in the Serengeti. We would recommend them to anyone plus you will be supporting a local Tanzanian company.
